  • Determine Seat Ibiza PR numbers using the VIN

Hello, I want to change my brakes at the front and at the back. Unfortunately, there is no PR number on the sticker in the trunk for the brakes installed. Can someone with a corresponding access tell me the PR numbers belonging to my VIN or give me a hint how to get to the PR numbers? My VIN is: VSSZZZ6JZGR009583 If it is not any trouble, I would like to have all PR numbers if I have to repair other things later. Thank you for your help in advance. VG Michael

  • Cracked in guardrail

Hello to each other! I’ve already experienced a lot with my Omega, but what happened to me last night on a deserted dark shore road is really awesome. I was traveling in a strange area and had totally lost my way thanks to redirection. So I’m looking for a turning point. When I found this, I slowed down to about 40 km/h and then…then it happened! The omega went out, all the lamps in the amature board lit up, the steering failed, the V Order wheel brakes too, I hastily tore the handbrake up, yes and then I crashed Frontal into the guardrail! The airbag didn’t open, the belt was enough. My first question, what to do now? First a friend called, then the police and after half an hour they came as well. The first question: Did you drink? No I’m always so good at it, even if this isn’t so funny! Nevertheless, first the stupid test was done. Then: Now you explain and then how you do the gemac Did I? I. Then some more forms filled out with and bye! Luckily I could drive home again without any help from anyone. I’m curious what my insurance says on Tuesday. PS: Has something like this ever happened to someone who just runs out of the ride??? What can that be?

  • visco clutch from the fan

hello, had described the problem here before. but it has gone down somehow. so on a ride last week with caravan the temperature suddenly went into the red area and stayed there. I stopped and looked. it were the already described fuses in front of the engine room through. I have to say, I had the air conditioning all the time. what it is about now, even if the fans of the air conditioning system have failed, he would not have been so hot after all can it be that with me the viscolfan is defective after all? he turns with if the engine is warm so around 90 degrees, but I can hold him with the hand. can it be that he got so hot because I always had the climate on and then suddenly all the fuses flew out or is it the viscolfan I ask because I want to stay in 2 weeks on vacation and then drive over 3t km with caravan. have no desire with defective motor anywhere to stay in the pamoas. hope a uf a few good tips. Greetings blues ( achim)

  • Better seats for G class WDB 463

Dear forum visitors, I have tested a used G55 model year 2003 (WDB 463) today. I am interested in the purchase and this would be my first car of this class. I noticed – and I am aware that this was already criticized by other drivers – the execution of the seats in this G class. I did not find a good side support and also the seat, or the leg rest appears to me quite short (although I am not particularly big with 1.78 cm). I am not very comfortable. is that with the last model revision also the seats have been improved, however for me, such a young G55K from financial guilds is not possible. My question is therefore whether someone has experience with an exchange of seats. Are the new seats available for example and can be installed at a G of 2003 or is there possibly a specialist company that offers a retrofit? What is the experience of the G-drivers with the seats? If one gets used to the quite spartan seating comfort or tiresome I would be happy to hear about experiences and much more about exchange and/or improvement tips. Warm greetings, D. PS: What I also found interesting on the test drive is that from speed 170 km/h the sheet metal of the bonnet really got into vibration. You can also call it “flatten”, although the hood was correctly closed. Is this also normal?

  • G320 Year of construction 99 – Recommended purchase?

Good afternoon, have a G320 year of construction 3/99 with just over 80,000km in view. Automatic, climate, AHK, electric window lifter, leather….are in it as SA. Is definitely a model before the cheap take-over parts of the W203 ;-). How is the car from consumption? Insurance and tax? Price: 23.90€ Is the price realistic? Can you recommend the year of construction with the motorization or what points do I have to look at in any case when reviewing on site? Thank you and greeting Markus

  • 300 GE 1991 What to pay attention to when buying (does not give so much clues)

Hello, I am interested in a 300 GE, after I first introduced the 300 GD. I know the problems with ABS sensors at 190E from the middle years of the year. Is there such a thing with the G ́s too? Where does the engine oil, what does it look like with ATM transmissions? If everything turns soft OK? Rust at BJ 1990 and shortly following? How can one try the locks when buying without “swipe up much dust?” Are the petrolers with a cold start control retrofitted afterwards to Euro 2 standard as well as What about the valve seats? Are they “on” after 150000km so that a lot of oil is consumed? Are there problems with the fuel supply (nozzles, holding valves, pump, cold start valve?) so that the engine may have start problems or a restless idle? Here it seems that the newer, very large models are discussed. See many numbers like 400, 500 and CDI models 🙂 Thank you for your answers.

  • Sleeping in a car at motorway stop/Netherlands

I want to go to Amsterdam and if I am already there I would like to drive to the North Sea coast, e.g. Zandvoort (since this is the closest) I will arrive there so against the evening hours and would like to spend there 1 night in the car to “sleep out” the way home. But now I know that sleeping in the car in the Netherlands is forbidden and very expensive. Does anyone like that look at motorway roads is just as forbidden? Bzw. someone knows “insidertips” where you can drive to Amsterdam. gendwo between Amsterdam-Zandvoort can sleep in the car without any problems? I wrote a few campsites but they wrote that it is not allowed…

  • Engine error – vehicle jerks

Hello, I had the following problem last night. After about 25 km of driving distance, the reporting engine error lit up in the Borcomputer and in the Tacho a red stop symbol. The vehicle jerked very much and did not accelerate anymore. I drove right and turned off the car. After a short break I restarted the vehicle and everything was back to normal. Also this morning on my 20 km long drive to work everything was ok. Has someone an idea and experience w The timing belt was changed 15,000 km ago.

  • Grandland X Ultimate with AHK EZ:02-2020

Hello, I was able to sell my Grandland X to a dealer on 31.01.2025. I ruled out a private sale because I had a bad conscience to sell this “car” to privately. I learned in the years to identify the engine in case of problems, 3-5 min to wait, then it went again. Error memory was always empty. In 45 years this is not initially such a vulnerable car. I drove an ASTRA J and K before this Grandland, great and problem-free cars, from 7 f On the purchase I was offered only a Grandland X in basic version for test drive, I now know why. Whether he ran out of engine on the motorway at speed 100 KM/H due to engine problems or I could not open the car anymore, then the topic oil and timing belts and the topic AHK socket was too much for me. I must be able to rely on the car. Therefore I was very glad that a dealer bought with this vehicle and I bought a new car. I’ll say goodbye to the Grandland Forum and pick up my new NON-OPEL tomorrow.
