    hello, my lawnmower with B&S motor had been touched with the knife enemy. damaged knife was removed. with running motor (knife removed) with a screwdriver at the center of the knife grinding shows side impact, estimated 1-2mm. height impact – no one can be detected at the meter image as well as at the top. game has the crankshaft none. question: to what extent is a side impact of 1-2mm normal ? me would especially experience values inte thank you in advance !

  • Keep diesel in the canister

    Hello guys, I’d like to know if it still makes sense to keep diesel in the canister today. I currently have two cars, both common-rail diesel. And I’d like to fill 2 metal canisters every 20L with caution. Does it technically make sense? Especially with regard to the common-rail engine. At my Audi, the high-pressure pump was defective and it transported chips into the pipes. Did a rod cost me money. Does it make sense to store diesel like this? And what do you do with a new canister? Can you just fill it like that or do I have to fear that there are still chips in it that the injectors can add?

  • 3 months after brake change in workshop: brake disc annealed and surface melted

    Hello guys, I need your swarm knowledge again! The following scenario: I had my brakes on the front axle made anew about 3 months ago (ply + disc). They were already pretty blank and squeaked. In the workshop then changed, as far as everything was good. Now I did a 2h tour with mountain passages in the currently hot weather. Suddenly it started to stink and smoke. Directly stopped and noticed that it comes from the front left brake system. No F The tyre pressure was already at 350 kPa due to the heating compared to the 290 of the other tyres. I put the car in the same workshop today and described the events. They examined it and said that it comes from a clogged/squeaked brake hose. The manchet on the brake piston has melted and it has to be completely overhauled. The brake disc and brake blocks are och ok (?!). To my question: Wouldn’t that have had to be noticed during the change three months ago (e.g. when the brakes are ventilated)?. Is it just an excuse because a faulty assembly caused the overheating (was also only at the front left) ? Can I still drive with the brake disc and pads (burned/glazed)? Thanks already! LG JM

  • Mount other exhaust flaps and through the TÜV?

    Servus times a question, my RS5 has exhaust flaps as standard. They tend to flap again and again as soon as the stock has game (happens already from 30,000km). But with me the flaps are completely fixed and do not close anymore. I rather have little desire to get the same exhaust system again (is with MSD and both end pots, individually there are neither the flaps nor the rear silencers at Audi). My plan would be to flex the tailpipe and then install new stainless steel flaps to the original control unit. . Do you think that I come through the TÜV with it if it is only a repair and not a “tuning” or “mute” ? It is to mice. In the pictures you can possibly recognize what I mean.   • Strange noise while driving along a wall

    Hello guys, I need some advice, advice or the vulture knows something helpful….:-( For some time now I’ve been seeing a strange noise on my SL R230. It just sounds partially loaded right now, which means if I’m a little bit more than lightly accelerating the vehicle. I can only perceive it when I’m driving along a wall that’s close enough to me. The sound sounds like somehow a chain is racing or Hydro’s clatters would be. But when I open the hood, I don’t really see the noise. I strongly assume that it is due to the exhaust system. Can anyone tell me if he had something like that before and got under control? I think that this noise has been present since my sports exhaust system. Twice I was there because of this problem, every time it was taken off again (it seemed to me as if it was gone – after a short time there again) Now one of the original cracks on the flange is torn and after for a long time it also seemed to me as if the noise was gone. It is totally annoying to know that there is something like that. I wonder what it sounds like for outside the vehicle. Does someone happen to have advice ?     Moin moin, I drive a Mercedes SL R230 (BJ 2003) with which I have a problem since last summer. I charge the rear consumer battery (renewed last summer) permanently in winter with a CTEK MXS 5.0. So I got on today after the charger hanged the last 3-4 months on the battery and received the message “electric consumer switched off”. I had this message also last year already several times therefore the car comes now every time it comes into the garage comes to the charger that did not help. I was already in the workshop and had the battery measured through the battery is completely okay. I then found a trick and that is when I turn on the car and see the message I just turn off the ignition then turn on the ignition again and press directly the lever to open the top. The top can then be opened in 90% of cases sometimes it takes 2-3 attempts. If the top is open then I can a so I exclude the battery as a problem source because this also permanently depends on the charger I clamp it off and get the message. I get the message even with connected charger ! The opening of the doors via Keyless-Go works without any problems. So it seems as if the battery has enough voltage and the “car” detects simply too little. Where can the error source lie ? I have read once you can how does it work? I would like to check the voltage because I don’t have a multimeter to hand right now.
