  • Halogen lamps Ageing

    Day by day, in my car I have had the same H4 for 8 years. Especially under adverse conditions e.g. wet or oncoming traffic I see quite little. That was already before, I think at least, but less pronounced. Can it be that the lamps subside? The headlights themselves are according to the age in order. I also often think that other road users are much brighter on the road. So also those that seem to have halogen lamps. What are your expectations? have you exchanged working old lamps? The Internet gives contradictory answers regarding the aging of halogen lamps.

  • Lock the car by radio when the door is open

    Hello all, I have a question about locking the RAV (BJ2013, no keyless) by radio remote control: is this possible if the rear door is still open? I have the following problem: I get my little girl out of the child seat, maybe still have the baby bag in my fingers, close the door with the elbow and then have to reach for the key and lock it by radio. There are also cars that do this differently: you press the button first, you are already locked (without jedoc h first to blink) and then when you close the door, it flashes for confirmation. Can you manage that somehow also on the RAV? Thanks and greetings, Mark

  • Rav 4 d4d 2005 alternator

    Hello The other day I left my car at work and wanted to start again the next morning. But there were 3 indicator lights, the fuel oil lamp, the oil level and the one for the alternator. First I checked the oil level of this was actually on the lower point of the indicator, then I filled something up. I expanded the alternator and examined it. Everything was in my opinion fine but the battery just won’t be charged. Before ic h change the alternator I would like to know if it is due to the battery, which is only 2 years old or if it is full. there is a fuse, which is burned through and interrupts the current flow to recharge. And who is it, how do I find it out? I also find it a bit strange that over night 3 control lights go on. I already suspected a marten damage but did not detect any damage to the cable. I would be very grateful for help and who it would I hope the most important thing is already mentioned.

    Good day to everyone, I am Andreas and come from Eichenzell. I drive a Rav4 XA2! Is a petrol engine with 150 Ps 77000km and Bj 2002. It is a three doorr, in friendly hunting green! Now to my little problem. I want to put my RAV higher! Rich there feathers out? What should I note, brand of feathers etc! I thank you for your constructive suggestions!

    Hello RAVler, my XA1 (Bj. 95) gives up the mind so slowly or there are soon expensive repairs to which are simply not counting anymore. Now I have the possibility to come to an XA2 and would like to have your assessment at the price.     Hello dear forummates, I would like to get a new fun mobile….After I drove the SL 500 and the SLK 55 AMG to the test, I am still not conclusive, which is the better or the more fun-making….. What about the engine??? Suction cup vs Biturbo……I had the feeling that the suction cup has a better pull and also a more linear force development. Is that really so? More PS has the SL ….Then I think it is “beautiful” and more sporty, with smaller wheelbase to rob the curves……The SL is overall softer….I just can’t decide……Prices are both the same…..45-50 k you have to spend on a well-kept model…….Who can give me help with the decision.   • R230 2005 ABC suspension no longer sinks

    Hello SL friends, have brought my SL 500, BJ2005, 207,000km in a free workshop to change the brake discs and linings in front. The workshop puts it up. Drives onto the stage. Switches the windows and coverings. Everything is normal. Stage down. The chassis no longer sinks. The pump/pressure tank is now 1 1/2 years in it. Newly bought and installed at MB. Does anyone have an idea? Until yesterday the Fzg has driven perfectly. No problems. Who pays the additional expenses for the Suc When someone has an idea. Please report. Thank you SL sneezeser

  • SL R129. Best car without vulnerabilities ?

    Hello everyone. I’m new to Motor-Talk and would like to post here as well. I’m looking for a summer car. I’d like to know the SL of the R129 series. A familiar thought that was probably the best car what you could buy. No weak points. I don’t really like to believe that now Would you like to buy one of the last built ( BJ 1999-2001 ). I don’t know which one from the machine. What can you recommend ? 320 ? or rather V8 ? What are well-known Vulnerabilities of this SL ? Watch out for what to buy / test drive ? Greeting

    Hello SL driver, at my 500er BJ 2002 km 92000Km stitched SL Are rust on the rear wheel, right and left. Do you have experiences or do you have something about Kulanz? Thanks in advance
