Yesterday I was able to drive a Rav4 Hybrid Executive with full equipment for an hour. Now you can’t feel a car completely on the tooth in an hour, but I wanted to get an impression of the consumption with speedy driving. I am from Berlin heading north on the A111 and back again. Unfortunately only about 25 km, more time was not. Remarkable was: 15-20 liters current consumption at constant speedo 160-170 km/h. So I wonder if the Rav4 Hybrid is not completely untaug I am driving mostly in urban traffic, but especially buyers with a mixed driving profile should think very well about whether they prefer to buy a diesel. My 9-year-old BMW 320d with 6-speed automatic needs about 7.5-8 liters at the same speed. I also have an explanation for the high consumption: On the one hand, of course, the much larger frontal area compared to Auris and Prius, on the other hand, The 3 electric motors, which are constantly connected to the powertrain, will produce electrical power loss, which is the higher the speed is. Anyway, I was disappointed after the test drive and will now spontaneously not increase the Rav4 hybrid.

Marten food in RAV4?
Hello dear forumists times a question about the RAV4 and rodents. Recently again a look under the bonnet and seen the following. Otherwise there are no battle tracks to see. Interesting is, that exactly the same damage had one of the demonstrators, which I drove to the rehearsal at the time. Otherwise I did not see any bite marks. Does anyone else bite at this hose sheathing? What kind of hose is that? And why is it isolated? Is it even biting?

Test ride with C-HR !
Had the pleasure yesterday as a replacement car for a few hours to drive a C-HR – I take on basic model without many extras. When starting you have to make sure that the engine is already running but you hear. When driving off then the petrol engine switches to it – the stepless transmission or whatever is installed there, is more than getting used to – yes it turns partly very high you come to the right area of the display whatever this may be called. The design is very striking, e.g. you can put the tea cup on the attached eyes or spoiler – at the first sight 2 years ago we thought an insect comes to me. The trunk is very small – due to the coupe shape. I have more or less the predecessor model the U rban Cruiser – I am happy with it – would not be an alternative for us.

Which model is the most economical?
Hello together, I might want to buy a RAV4. Gen.4 Now I’m not sure whether diesel or petrol. Whether automatic or manual. The most important is the economy. When it comes to consumption it’s clear the diesel, but there’s more. Service and repairs. Which engine is more reliable, has generally less repair costs. Are the service costs different? Does the automatic machine have other disadvantages that can turn into costs besides additional consumption? In short: Which version Is in the long term the cheapest and most reliable? I live in the countryside, ride 5-10tkm annually. Rare under 10km, mostly about 25km per route. Important! Insurance and tax please do not consider other countries other tax models! Workshop repairs more than you want it to?
Hello, I’m not sure if my topic fits into this forum, but I didn’t find any more suitable than this one. It’s about the following. On 31.05 I gave my focus to the workshop with the please about timing belt changes (mundl. KVA 320€). On Friday evening I called to ask if I could pick up the car again. I was told at the earliest Monday because now still a roll on the V-belt, Ventiel cover seal and all spark plugs are exchanged (all parts sh 200-300€ more. I’m a trainee and I don’t even have 200-300€ lying around somewhere. The question is: can the workshop just do more repairs without asking me beforehand or can I charge the costs on account of the fact that I can’t pay everything at once as written above? I thank you for your help.

a very sporadic problem
Moin Moin………. So young, I really have a problem. I have the b4 ABK 115Ps 2.0L. And last week I had the problem that fell to 0 during the drive from one to the other sec of the tachometer from approx. 2500-3000 unmsrotungen, the car also did not accept gas. I rolled out then and then turned it on again……short time later it happened again, I drove again and after the 3rd time the car went on again after 5min. A few days earlier I had to overtake it, which he took alternately gas but did not after that again, so the car totally jerked and I was able to overtake with trouble and need. After I lit candles (they were totally through) and solderers changed hoping to have solved the problem, especially since it was bad when it was wet and moist, but he didn’t do this anymore after the change. yesterday was the same try again, I drove from the parking lot and was in 2nd place. or 3rd walk (before I was always in the 5th) and again he went out. But this time I came home with only one stop. today was nothing… the distance on which this always happened is always so 7km. Can anyone help?

Turbo installation in A3 1.8
hello am new here. bought me the audi A3 1.8 today and wanted to hear your opinion, whether 4.700€, with 120000km, is in order. the car had first had a mistake with the speed. it is when you gave gas and let go again, in empty run, always fell under 1000U/m and swung there. a few times he also went out. then I drove with the dealers to vw and he has adjusted the by computer again. the seller allegedly has something fa Ich made with the disconnection of the battery, so that it was wrongly configured, or something like that!^^ wanted to ask if that could be. have one last question, whether it is possible to install a turbo or a cost-effective ps increase in the car. how expensive and expensive it would be. hope I didn’t write too much.

Self-centering circuit
Hello to each other, I have a tricky question to which I would need an answer as soon as possible! A friend of mine wants to buy an old Audi or Mercedes in the near future, but has his concerns about the circuit. Since he just made his driver’s license everything should work as easily as possible with the first car. Here’s the problem: In the driving school he learned, for example, that when switching from the 2nd to the 3rd gear only the lever has to be pushed out of the 2nd gear, this then automatically jumps into the idling position between 3rd and 4th gear and you now only have to push it straight into the 3rd gear. So if this self-centering did not exist, would be very easy for an untrained driver to switch, especially when switching from 2nd to 3rd gear. The questions are now: 1) Is there this self-centering of the circuit for all new cars? 2) Since when does this self-centering exist and how was it otherwise with previous cars? Thanks already in advance Lt_Paris
