Hello dear Yamaha friends After changing the piston rings, new capacitors and ignition coils my xs 360 runs quite well again. There are only 2 problems, maybe someone had similar or has an idea what it might be. 1) If I turn up, it hangs on about 6500/7000Tours.In this “hole” it hangs so about 5 seconds, then it turns Hurtig further to the red area.Could it lie on the fly force adjuster ?? And if yes,how do you notice wear or defects there ?? 2.Si After 15-20 sec .sometimes even after a minute it goes off abruptly, without misignition or similar, it just stops as if you had turned off.Of course, it usually goes off exactly when the traffic light just turns green-especially nerfig. I have already turned out the idle mixing screws further, but does not bring anything. If you turn up the stop knurling screw on approx. 2000 tours, it goes then but then it runs 20 sec on 3 or 4000 Tours until the speed goes down to 2000 and motor brake and switching is not really good, because the speed stays too high for the first time. Has an idea on the topic “Hanging and going out in empty run.Bin grateful for every tip Greeting Paul

Yamaha XJ900 31a, carburetor running over
Hello guys, I’m new to this forum. I received an XJ900 EZ June 1987 from a friend a week ago, because I bought it for him and he can’t drive his machine anymore for health reasons. This has not been running for about 10 years. So oil changes made, brake fluids changed, new battery and a few other little things too. Carburettor removed, opened and cleaned (brake cleaner). Built-in, started, ran. There were while driving some Gas acceptance problems. Arrived at home (about 5-10km driven). Petrol ran out. Carburettor removed. Floating conditions changed (so that they close rather). Air test with the mouth: passed, the floats seemed to close in tilted condition. Probably connected to the tank (outside the motorcycle). After only a few seconds gasoline flowed out of the two openings of the carburettor on the air filter side. I also tried to expand the floats, but the small ones What is your opinion?

R1 RN09 (2003) Clutch does not separate and slip
Hello together, since recently it is hardly possible to switch from 1 or 2 gears in a standing position. The gear lever is difficult to move, which means that the idling is always skipped. In addition, it bangs extremely when switching (even with cold oil). In addition, the motorcycle pulls forward in 1 gear when the clutch is pulled. And at about 7000rpm the clutch slips briefly as soon as I drive out of the city onto the country road. Which clutch parts should be changed (I hope) the gearbox itself is ok)? Are there certain manufacturers which would be recommended and do I need special tools? Some more information (vehicle data): R1 RN09 (2003) mileage: 35,000km oil: Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W50 (already used for about 4 years) Driving style: rather fast/mainly rural road LG

YBR 125 Custom RE071 petrol pump
Hello together Today I was confirmed by the breakdown service, that the petrol pump of my YBR 125 Custom has made me limp. So then drove to my garage of trust and then I asked what it should cost. The answer was a real shock and I can’t quite believe it. For the pump alone, the 500 Swiss francs (i.e. 430 euros)!! For me this sounds totally overpriced. After some research on the internet I found spare parts, which a In addition, this seems to be a well-known mistake. But my mechanic says that there is nothing to do and Yamaha wouldn’t take over it and that’s not so well known. Can someone help me out with a few facts? Should I contact Yamaha directly? And can it be that a spare part costs so much more just because it’s from Yamaha? I’m a bit perplexed just now because I bought the motorcycle in 2013 and find that it can’t be that after 5 years of racing, it’s not possible to buy a motorcycle. The pump is already over, although it was driven only in the summer and in the winter stood nicely in a garage.

Extruded screw head
Hello motorcycle friends, on the housing (the housing is made of cast iron. the screws are made of anodized steel) of my clutch switch is the screws depleted and so I took the drill and wanted to drill the screws out. the screws is however so hard that I can barely get one mm further. the hole is now about 3-4 mm deep. then I set a left turner and tried to turn the screws out but the grips at all. I use hss drills from the building house. the best loud salesman. the drills break off after the row. I cool them and also tried to try out different strengths but nothing goes on. I thought about getting titanium drills and drilling a hole at least as deep as that the left-hand turner takes hold. slowly the ideas go out, maybe you have a refined idea? by the way, I have attached a picture. at the bottom right is the exhausted hole to see! mfg jan

EU-wide single regulation
I find it always significant when the EU finds rules and regulations for everything possible, but it does not manage to harmonise the wild growth of traffic regulations in Europe. On the contrary, there are new national regulations that are sometimes contradictory in individual countries every year. No one votes such a thing within the EU. The only thing the EU is concerned about is whether we do not need a general speed limit on BABs in D! Example: Slovenia: When reset, the warning indicator must be switched on. Austria: School buses that have switched on the warning signal system and red-yellow warning lights must not be passed. Belgium: It is mandatory to turn on the fog lamp at a view below 100 meters Czech R.: At winter time, the passing light (not only day running light) is also switched on during the day Finland: In the months of December, January and February winter tyres are mandatory (from he for example in Austria from 15.11 to 15.03) etc… Oh yes, and then there are the English with the left traffic Is there a plan for harmonizing the state of StVO’n to an EU-StVO? Here the EU could actually do something more useful than, for example, to take care of the radius of curvature of bananas…

Accidents in flash ice
Man, there were already several accidents with lightning ice today and the poor drivers were all surprised by the sudden ice. Why, actually, have we already summer? In WInter you always have to reckon with it. Are the drivers actually overwhelmed with all the situations? Do you also have to put up flash ice signs? Or warn people with posters about it? We were between Christmas and shortly before New Year’s Eve times in the resin and with some snow the people are turned down It was e only 20 km/h driven with warning flashers. Can such people not rather stay at home in front of the TV???? Are there only overburdened AUtodrivers left?

How to assess the following situation
Had just two great experiences, which have taken me today completely the desire to get into my car again. 1. I drove into a left turn, where also a truck entered and almost with its trailer the whole roof had torn open, I drove already as far left as it was possible. But the second situation causes me already a little more headache, which would result in a possible guilt question in the event of collision. So stood at the end of a side street, which in a road with jewe ils one lane per side (separated by dashed midline). Turn signal left and waited, since from the left also cars came, when I saw the turn signals at the first two cars and these were only about 10-15 km/h fast and from the right no traffic came, I drove out. There an older gentleman who also from the left comes to overtake the two turn signal on the opposite road and I would appreciate that with more than 30 km/h. I braked and the “older” gentleman too. No collision, but more than 1.5 m did not miss. Who would have been to blame here now? In my opinion, the older gentleman, since he first used the opposite lane and secondly could not see if everything was really free. I had seen such a free lane. Unfortunately, I notice more often such situations, how people can not wait until one turned off and then overtake the opposite lane, with a nice Schlenker well noticed, to yes no I don’t want to have to slow down.

Car sold and now annoyed!Help
Hello I sold my old car (13 years old). I wrote what everything was renewed. I didn’t find any faults except a few dents, crats. HU/AU were made new 3 months ago. Now the buyer picked up the car without looking at it closely. Number plates run and away he was. Now he found defects in a workshop that I didn’t know about! How? Just a layman in the car area and don’t drive to the workshop every day. Now he wants to buy a car. I have a purchase contract in which I wrote: sale without guarantee or right of exchange No liability for defects. Now I would like to know what this looks like now? Do I have bad cards and have to take the car back? I am as I said only a layman and the flaws that the car has never been able to find. Don’t look under the car every day. Hope that someone will help me. MfG

Vehicle operation – are we really that stupid?
Hi! I write this here in the security forum because the correct operation of the vehicle is quite safety-relevant. Who has just seen the “Act07” broadcast on Sat1, has noticed the embarrassing appearances of the car users. People who don’t accomodate their NSL, did not know how the bonnet opened or where the oil is controlled – is there only “worst of” sorted out from the photos or are “we” really so ignorant? I mean this with the new BMW of really no measuring station b has more, ha tmich in the first moment where I saw the 1 time also wondered – the cockpit display was but no problem for me to call up. Maybe there is the computer generation advantages… Do you all know where and how everything works in the car? Or did there ever aha experiences as jmd show you something “new” – like my mother when I told her that you can also turn on the interior light at the Corsa when you pull on the light switch MfG
