  • 9-3 Bj 2010: Key remote control only serves the driver’s door

    Love All the following problem: I changed the battery for the remote control for the doors, pressed the door opener button five times for new learning, but now only the driver’s door is locked, the other doors remain unlocked. Does any of you know a solution? Greetings from Salzburg Harald

  • Rear brake without function

    Hello, have a Road King Classic FLHRC-I, built in 1998. Quite exactly a year ago, after a 80 km exit, the rear brake was suddenly in a large group (frequent braking) without function, the brake pedal went to stop. After cooling, the brake worked again. In my very competent workshop (No HD workshop, but a free workshop, which repairs only HD on motorcycles) I then had the brake checked and the brake fluid changed. t Mechanics looked very strange, but I don’t know how long it was in it, bought the bike a year earlier (allegedly with fresh customer service). Today, quite exactly a year later, exactly the same thing. After a very curvy, hilly exit (about 80 – 90 km, again frequent braking) the foot brake goes back to the void. After about 3 hours of rest the brake went again. I have now arranged a workshop appointment again, but this is only in July. Ic h of course, I’m thinking about what the cause might be. Of course, I’ll also pass on helpful hints to the mechanic. It definitely looks like a temperature problem. I’ve looked at the lead as well as I can, it’s all dry, the line laying looks original to me. My thought was that there might be a lack of heat protection and the brake fluid in the line becomes too hot. I don’t know, just such an idea. (Ronnie’s Partsfinder) but I couldn’t find such protection. Did any of you have the same problem, or do you have any ideas? Greetings Peter

  • Engine shuts down while driving

    Hello everybody! I’ve been new to the forum since today. Has any of you ever had the experience with a Harley that the machine suddenly shuts down during the ride? I bought my Softail Heritage 2007 new. After about 1 1/2 years this started to jerk and no perfect ride was possible any more. My HD dealer could eliminate the error. A few months later followed. Phenomena: The machine suddenly stopped during the ride. On “Gasgeben” no reaction, all e Lectrian contacts are interrupted. After a short wait for new start and further drive again possible. Then no further interruptions. This happened now every time at an exit. HD dealer did not recognize an error message. After the “motor shutdown” regularly repeated itself, the “black box” was changed to Kulanz. After a few months of rest, but then again the irregular engine shutdown during the journey independently of the travelled distance. I now got away with it. find and set me now at every new exit on it, but can not be a permanent condition. Imagine, the engine stops during an overtaking process or during a tunnel crossing. In good conscience the HD can not be sold either. Danger Km in 10 years approx. 11Tsd. Can someone help me? Thank you! Gerhard Völkle

  • Softail Night Train 2006 Kickstand

    Moin together. I bought a 2006 Night Train. In 2007 it was completely rebuilt. Among other things on 260ger HR. There was a need for an expansion kit on the primary drive. Obviously, however, one neglected the changes of the side stand. This disappears now completely under the bike. One has to bring it up with the hand. Not only looks stupid, it also annoys. Does anyone have an idea how to solve the problem? Image material would be very helpful.

  • Fat Boy doesn’t start

    Good day together, after my Fat Boy only confessed for health reasons, now the HU became due. Battery was dead. So, new battery pure (current condition: 14,4 V, 0,84 A ), new battery in the FOB, but uses everything nothing, sounds somehow as if the injection pump did not get any juice and did not release the fuel (over 10 liters in the tank – NEW ). Air filter lid removed and start pilot sprayed in the air filter during the start attempt, so that Is it possible to deactivate the immobiliser completely? So that you can check that it is actually due to the power supply of the injection system? Before it was in the garage for the last 2 years, everything worked flawlessly Fat Boy FLSTF from 2008 Maybe one has an idea how to tackle the problem. Thank you Andy48

  • Every year new battery???

    Man, man… I really don’t know anymore.. Now I have my FLSTC Built. 2003 4 years (3 winter) .. and every year my battery breaks down during the winter break.. I had the first battery removed and stored in the basement and connected the charger every 2-3 weeks.. To start the season again installed.. Platt!! The second battery then in winter no longer expanded and also every 2-3 weeks the charger ran.. In spring was also the flat.. Now I have the charger since Dec. . continuously connected and placed on maintenance charge.. Today I go into the garage… 3,4 volts shows the charger.. ?? I also exchanged the chargers… show all 3.4 / 3,5 volts.. Suppose that the battery is flat as well… How do you do it right???? Btw: Charger was a Fritec the first time, the second a CTK and now a single light… Look forward to your experiences.. Mike

    Good day, I have recently purchased a vacuum/pressure pump tool for a special job. As I see, I can also vent brakes. The instruction also contains a description of it. (see picture in the appendix) Quote: Attach the appropriate size bleaching attachment to the bleed nipple on the brake calliper of the first wheel, normally near to master brake fluid reservoir. . This statement makes me unsure. Is it not so that you normally mi t starts the wheel furthest away from the balance tank? Does this have to do with the fact that one is ventilated here with vacuum?     Moin moin.I have the following problem, our compressor simply switches off arbitrarily.No matter how much pressure he has.The overload protection always goes out.Maybe someone has had such a problem and can help me?!     Hello, I bought 2 x the Earthquake SWS-8 and with it ne groundzero GZTA 2500 TX So far I thought a “one channel” amp also has a connection. Then both would be connected together, the whole on 2 ohm and thus the AMP 500 RMS (woofer each 150) does so would be enough and still reserve! But now I found this in the manual: the gzta 2500 tx has 2 connection terminals. How do I have to wire it then, that it really runs on 2 ohm ? like on the picture – or I have to put both together on e inen channel connect. gruss, dognose
