  • Oil stop cable

I want to buy a r171 bj 06.2008 with 184 hp. The owner claims that the car is top in order because it was only moved in the summer and always stood in the garage. It only ran 75,700 km, which he can of course prove. I asked for the rear axle and rear axle carrier because of rust, control chain and oil stop cable, he meant the car is in the original condition and the chain is still Oryginal, oil stop cable is not installed, because it was not necessary he also has current Tüv without defects. Here my question : can it be that with 75,700 km it is really not necessary to build the oil stop cables, or if I buy the car now, should I have it done anyway? (it is not expensive) Should I read the tax chain also, although at the moment makes no noises? Because of rust and general check we will drive together to DEKRA. Here a couple of photos I have received from the seller. Many thanks and cordial greetings. Maria.

  • No Internet connection, TCAM module?

Hello to the forum, maybe someone here has a piece of advice, three days I have no Internet connection anymore. Reception is full there, but at the end of the ascending triangle the exclamation mark. Twice now the TCAM module over the Defroster restarted. No improvement. Also the main infotainment system restarted, without success. So slowly it annoys. Software is up-to-date, and all hooks in the privacy menu activated. Does anyone have advice? Greeting Christian

  • Navigation – What’s good?

Have you any experience of what is good and can’t make recommendations? I think of sense/advantage or quality of: – installation or portable – TMC or alternatives – manufacturer (quality, service) – map material (possibility of a door-to-door route e.g. from Germany to abroad and/or the other way around) – announcement quality (e.g. the announcement comes in time)? Ultimately, what is involved is to be able to use what is happening in my Saab, so I once allowed myself the question here in this forum. Greeting, A’man

  • 9000 slows down itself

Hello SAABiner! Here’s a strange problem that I’ve been observing for a long time: (vehicle is a 9000 B234 2.3 FPT hand switch) No matter what gear and what speed, the car seems to brake itself! And indeed, neither any brakes are fixed or rusty, but you really feel that the engine slows down very strongly… Sure, if you take the gas path and brake yourself, it’s really extreme… Especially if I switch on the air conditioning system while rolling out with the gear in place, you feel a clear jerk as it slows down. Can it be that the climate compressor is stuck? Can it be on DI or candles? Or even the throttle flap??? (because if the throttle flap is completely closed, the engine gets hardly any air, or? That’s why it also slows down, because the pistons moving downwards have to work against the underpressure and thus are quite slowed down) maybe you have an idea…

  • Worth buying ? Want to switch to Saab

Dear Saab Fan community, the Saab virus has packed me again and since I do not drive so much anymore (20 tsd p.a. instead of 25 tsd pa) I want to separate myself from my old Rover Diesel and buy a Saab. Dates: 9000 CS, 150 HP LPT, , everything inside except ESD and MAL, Bj 96 104 tsd km occupied, previous owner 2 companies, then 10 years older pair price 4800 what do you think about it? Oh yes: Automatic, I want to see still invoice documents that the oil was also exchanged. I think, you can buy that, air down is also still, I think I get Him for 4400. Do you think I can buy Him? Would be very nice if I got short feedback

  • Question about sitting at Inscription

Hello together, have a question to Inscription driver of the XC 90: Could such a equipment unfortunately never see in natura. How good is actually the side stop here? In the brochure it looks as if there is more to be expected here than with normal equipment. According to Volvo there will be no optional seat selection at the XC 90 in the distant future, as e.g. with the V 70. The seats in the XC 90 sport probably nobody knows yet, but should be reserved for this. A configuration with various snaps however makes sport more expensive than the executive. Greetings bkpaul

  • Oil loss on the right / gear side

Hello, after I had had the clutch replaced before 3000 km I now have to notice with horror that I have oil loss. During the clutch change two sealing rings have been changed with ( 9458178 / 6843481) now does not know the exact description of the rings. I suspect that the oil trap / flame screen are the culprits, see photos, on the oil tail stick he siffs out and steams at running engine. My fear now, it can be that the oil trap is dense and thus the sealing rings which are out now due again at the clutch change would be? He has run 314,000 km, whether the oil trap / when you have been changed times, no idea. Have times attached a few photos, someone knows the problem and knows advice. Thanks in advance.

  • XC90 financed as a business car or privately

Hello to all XC90 owners, my Volvo dealer said that the XC90 is a pure company car. Individuals would not buy it. Therefore my question to you, is your XC90 a business or a private car? Thank you Best regards Selenum

  • Luggage compartment Deep Spacetourer L3

Hello, since I could not see a space tourer in the variant L3 (largest version) at any dealer so far, here is a question: Could an L3 owner please measure the depth of the trunk with the seat completely rearward? Is for us a decisive purchase criterion. Thank you! Olli
