  • Resetting Service B at Mercedes Roadster

Who can tell me how to reset the SLC 180 Service B? Unfortunately, I have tried suggestions for SLK and other vehicle types without success Thank you very much.

  • SLC as a full-year vehicle

A friend of mine is thinking of buying a used SLC 200 and selling his other car. From the place, that would be enough, but he is not sure if it is good to use the SLC with the folding roof all year round, so also in snow. How do you see it? No problems? j. PS: How do you rate the price development of the SLC? Does it have chances of a small loss of value because it is no longer built?

  • Seat heating rear bench

Hall oils, I am thinking of retrofitting the rear seat heating. Have leather equipment, at the back without the popo heater. I know that the heating is always sewn with leather. Can you take the heating mats from normal equipment (sports fabric seats) and “sew” or build under them? Or are there leather mats with a different heating performance? Would you like to avoid the investment for new leather covers at FOH. Is it technically feasible? The thermostat is integrated into the mats or am I there on the wooden way? Greeting Lars PS: Cable trees, switches, relays etc. are already installed.

  • Volvo v70 Cross Country LPG

Hello, I have looked at a Volvo V70 T5 Cross Country AWD today and have torn a bit back and forth, because I don’t know how well I am. The vehicle was built in 1997 and converted to LPG, it has about 260,000km on the clock. It has probably been made a lot, quote from the advertisement: timing belt change including water pump, distribution gear resealed, while the -hülse-inspected and found very good. Oil change from engine, transmission and VTG, new exhaust and new cardan shaft medium bearing can be installed. In the (very short, about 10 minutes) test drive nothing occurred to me negatively, the engine runs absolutely pleasant and the gear switches buttery soft. Inside and outside the Volvo is fantastically maintained Now comes what makes me stutzig: When I asked what it is in the future, the seller told me that he has discovered that he is dripping a little bit of gear oil. I know that can probably have a thousand reasons, but should one better leave the finger?

  • Annealing at 2.5 DTi

Hello together, one way forward, I suspect no defective glow plugs, or have I already informed myself how I can check them the following: This morning at the start (BC Temp. 7,0°C) briefly the pre-glow symbol in the instrument cluster lit up and the engine jumped immediately after extinguishing the same. Today afternoon at the start (5.5°C) the pre-glow symbol did not light up even after a long wait and the engine was somewhat heavier as expected. In this connection, I noticed (afterward) that my car glows quite rarely according to the symbol in the instrument at low temperatures. When it does that, it jumps easily and immediately after extinguishing the glow turn. I suspect a wobbler or similar in the control of the entire incandation system and no defect of the glow plugs. Is the annealing system controlled outside or engine temperature? Or does it measure the K25 relay? thank you for “hot” tips micha

  • Additional headlamps and washing system

Hello, since I have now also bought additional headlights, I wanted to ask you what experience you have made with the additional headlights and washstands? I did not have the original Volvo solution but the “Biltema” solution, i.e. : holding console behind license plates, relay circuit and 9″ headlights with stabilizing rods.

  • Is high beam assistant worth it in the V70 / XC70?

I’m looking for a V70 or XC 70, preferably with a high-light assistant. However, only a few of them have on the market, so that the selection is enormously limited. Now I ask myself, is it worth it? What I read here in the forum at the V40 is not encouraging. https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/fernlichtassist-t6759944.html I prefer to refrain from using an assistant who makes more stress than relieves stress. Therefore, my question: How reliable and comfortable does the high-light assistant work for those who have one in their V70 or XC70, economically (motorways, roads, inner-city)? Gladly with the indication of the year of construction.

  • Vibration/slagering during braking

I’ve had a good time to get back to the bike, I’ve had a good time to get back to the bike, I’ve had a good time to get back to the bike. I’ve been driving a Volvo V70 III D5 AWD 215PS and I’ve got the problem that the car always starts to vibrate again in the bike. In that year I’ve been driving about 50,000 km and now he has 330.000 km on the clock. Bremdisks and pads I’ve already made 5x new. (Brembo, Volvo Original, ATE) After the change I mostly have 2-4tkm quiet and then it comes back again. (Slimming process, speed independent, at some point so bad that I can hardly drive anymore, because the steering wheel almost flutters me at the brake. Tires have also come back 4 months ago and been re-wokeed. As I was in doubt and no longer knew, I gave the Volvo to the brake at the front, the bike change again and again.

  • Dimensions Phaeton

Good evening people, everywhere I read that the Phaeton (short) has a length of approx. 5.05 meters, only in my BA is 5.15m. That it will not be a print error, shows the fact that the long version is actually indicated at 5.27m, where I read everywhere else 5.17m. I don’t have an adequate measuring tape at hand. Does anyone know what is right now? Does everyone, only VW itself not know? Many greetings

  • 850/V70 I or 940 as Daily Driver?

Hello, for a few weeks I have been searching the www for information about the above-mentioned vehicles. After I asked my question a few weeks ago in the Hecktriebler forum, I was interested in what you are guessing for. We think about buying a second car for small money (about 1,000 – 2,000 €) with a little patience. Despite the low one-strip price we want (of course) a most reliable vehicle as possible. It’s about a gasoline truck for working 12 km (simple distance) which is also supposed to pull our caravan (1,500 kg). So these are the specifications. For the 850 it seems that the offer is larger within the approximate scope of the mentioned budget. Also the vehicles consume a little less? The 940 seems to be even more robust compared to that. Also, due repairs are cheaper. How is the opinion of those experienced with old Swedes? What engine and what years of year would you advise on one or the other? I look forward to your opinion!
