Hello dear community, I don’t know if the question has already been asked this way… I drive a Volvo V70I with the “girl engine”, currently Perfo’s are installed, which in theory can also take off the 302 brake system. I assume theoretically that only the 280 were installed from the factory with the small engine… Can I actually only find out on the basis of the brake disc which is 280 or 302 or are there other components that point to the different systems, if yes, how do they look visually? Thank you very much!

XC70 -> Charging grid shuts off airbags?
Hi together, I’m discussing with a valued other MT member (XC70 in GOLD) the function of the airbag! Taking into account the position of the cargo space grid. Theses: For security reasons, the head airbag (this “Inflatable Curtain”, inflatable curtain 😉 is switched off when folding the cargo space grid. Anti-Theses: This is just wrong for security reasons. That would mean for the rear passengers to choose whether they want to be killed in the event of an accident of luggage, or want to hit their head on the side. Both situations speak against “Volvo for life”. Note: I have in my head (who hasn’t opened yet 😉 the memory of the manual (TFM), in which sense it was said that when the back seat of the cargo space was flipped over the seat over these seats should only be used to the lower edge of the window.

XC70 -> How tight can a screw rust? Is that normal, … ?
Hi together, in the course of my last repair (hand brake exploded) the axle stem (back left) was changed. At the same time, I was shown a screw on the defective stool, which was so rusty that it had to be flexed. That was not in itself wild, because the stool was already broken. Maybe what flexing even time cheaper than doing the work, boring the screw or working on it differently …

correct traffic jam: run the heater or the engine?
Servus together, if you are really in the traffic jam ( THW, TEE, blankets, winter…) and you think about refueling so slowly, what is strategically cheaper then? If you run the heater or consume the engine (D5) less diesel than the SH? mfg SpechtV70

Adoption of new S60
Unfortunately….and that’s what I mean… I have to say goodbye to the forum here because I bought an S60 today. I would like to thank everyone for the many tips and suggestions and I’m probably more active in the S60 forum next Friday. I’m sure I’ll look in here again from time to time, because the last 5 years are somehow close to my heart. Those who know me know this 🙂 And I’ll come to the meetings if I can. So still good trip wishes you all The Teddy Bear 🙂

S60 Bj 08 Sport – Remove rear spoiler
Hello, I’m doing my C70 2.5T Bj 1999 to exchange a S60 2.4D Bj 2008 Sport Edition for a big extra charge. The S60 has little kilometers, great equipment (de facto everything except the sliding roof) BUT this rear spoiler on the trunk edge really can’t be. How can I save myself this embarrassment? How is this thing assembled, screwed/glued from factory? I have to have the boot flap repainted if I remove the thing – probably already. Thank you!

and again: Change the lamp at the rear
Hello to each other, now’s me also caught, one of the 4 stand light lamps at the back (left, top) of my v70, year 2002 is gone. Everyone who reads and writes here knows how stupid the things (the top) are to change. To prepare the action I have read most threads here on the topic. My questions would be: 1. Are there new insights for a painless change of the lamp without the 2. Maybe someone has developed in the meantime a clever lamp change tool 3. Do I really assume that I should reach the relevant lamp manually to the left, as with the usual bayonet lock must turn ? Do I have to solve before any cables on the lamp socket or can I turn all the stuff out in one? Thank you dear community for suitable tips!

Navigation system does not work
Hello together I hope that there is no thread for this yet. We have our new Ateca FR 2.0 TSI since yesterday. Yesterday everything went without problems and today we get in and the navigation system doesn’t work anymore. It only says “navigation system is loaded….” and it doesn’t do anything. If one says a destination by language, he only indicates that the navigation system is not available. Software updates are not open… I’m pretty desperate. Does anyone know the problem? :/ Dear greetings Denise
