  • Popular all over – battery

My Smart 451 mhd BJ 2007 doesn’t start anymore. After ignition, all the lights light up and turn off, ECO flashes briefly and then goes off. I try to start then, click it for a short time from the direction of the fuse box, but nothing happens at all. The gears can be switched on without a running motor. Does that sound like a flat battery? This is now 12! years running smoothly? Mhd is switched off every time directly after engine start. Do I have to install an AGM battery now or would a VARTA SILVER C30 12V54Ah 54 Ah for the requirement profile? The car is moving 23 kilometers in the morning and the same distance in the evening. Or is there a better suitable battery now? Many greetings

  • 40,000 inspection – What may it cost?

Jo, how to recognize the topic, I would like to ask what costs are “may” for me. According to maintenance plan: – engine oil + filter (not applicable – made yourself) – valve play check and adjust, if necessary – fuel filter – air filter element (not applicable – K&N exchange filter) – belt, voltage and condition check and possibly adjust – gear oil (not applicable – clutch change between 28,000 – 30,000 km) – ATTS liquid Continue to check and, if necessary, be adjusted:# – parking brake – brakes front, rear – lighting, headlight adjustment – brake hoses and pipes incl. ABS – exhaust system, tightness and condition – wheel suspension and components – drive shafts, cuffs – fuel line and connections – tires (God are the ones down. If the new ones pull on there without asking ́s shelt) – steering function, track rods – test drive (noise, stability, function) [With more than 30 km of test drive – fuel line and connections – God are the ones down. If the new ones are carried out without asking about it, the oil filter is always taken away.

  • Tourist driving Hockenheimring new dates

Hi everyone. I talked to the friends of the Hockenheimring GMBH on the phone today and asked them about the new dates. From December it starts again. But then not as usual thunderdays but on Sundays from about 10 am in the morning until about 14 o’clock. However, the touri rides take place in winter only if the weather permits. If snow is snowing or ice is lying or a tsunami is in the approach they do not take place. To be 100% safe I would secure myself on Fridays in advance again by telephone…. First date would be the 5th of December. When this is the time I will let you know again in time. MfG Chris

  • Power losses!?

Hi! Actually I’m quite satisfied with the performance of my CTR ́s. I had a K&N Typhoon kit in the fall, but it was even more satisfied! ;^) But now I put WR on it and at the same time I prefer the original air filter box installed, but also with K&N replacement filter. Somehow I have the feeling that the car no longer has the kick from 6000 rpm. Is this in the cold weather that the car doesn ́t really run anymore?! Normally a motor runs like this only really when the intake air is nice cold. I also have real problems with estimating whether the engine or the oil is already at temperature. I drive really long until I have the feeling now can ́t go off. I think at least 30min. or 20km. Or has a defect crept in with me on the engine. So somehow the engine has become “severeer” if you can describe it this way. Do you have any idea what is going on?!

  • New CRV suitable for winter?

In various test reports, the CRV’s main criticism is the somewhat sluggish reaction of the lamellar coupling on the rear axle. Obviously, first the front wheels rotate through some revolutions until the clutch closes due to the speed difference between front and rear wheels. This would of course not be so good in smooth winter road conditions, as rotating front wheels cannot build a side guide. I would be interested to know whether this effect of the new CRV (interest me for the 2.2 l diesel) actually has a negative effect on snow-covered roadways or not?

  • Decision-making support for CRV-2007 – Light quality –

Hello CRV’ler, I’m about to decide for a 2.0 AT Elegance. I didn’t really want to order the Sun&Light Packet because it contains several things that I can do without. I’m not so sure about the light only. Are the standard halogen headlights really good, or does he need the Xenon? Unfortunately, they are not individually available:-( Although I have Xenon now in my A-Class, only the difference to the normal DE headlights (which the CRV has) is not sooooo big. Apart from the light color. So I can save the 2000 Eu’s? What do you think? Gruss………..michnix65

  • CR-V Diesel or Gasoline?

Good day, am new here in the division Honda, although I had an Accord with over 190,000 km without any problems years ago. A top engine. But now to the point. Could I decide to buy an SUV. I like the CR-V very much. However, the new model. Ride for short distance. About 12-15,000 km a year. On the day about 2-3 km and that about 4 x. So much short distance in the city. Question petroler or diesel? How is this with the soot particle filter? Would you like to drive a gasoline driver as an SUV, since I don’t want a spritt choker. We the diesel in winter at 2-3 km warm? Have your experiences?

  • Problem Headlight washing system

Hello CRV 2007 municipality, someone has already found a solution for the problem from you (when the light is switched on only very little water is left on the windshield)? In this weather it is quite annoying when the windshield is dirty in a short time in the dark and the majority of the water is spilled to the headlights. And just now in the cold the wash flaps remain right outside. From year of construction 2008 an additional switch was installed. mfg Peter

  • T1 611, 409D, blower not working

Hi guys, I’m preparing for a bigger trip and I found out that my blower doesn’t work. The fuse is ok, then I looked at the schematic and found out that there is a heating blower engine. Well, so far as logical. But I don’t find the part? Neither looked from above, nor from below. According to the schematic a black, a red and a brown wire (mass) should go to the blower engine, but as I said, no idea where the part is. That would be very helpful if one of you knew about it. Merci, Michael

  • How long does a smart motor last?

Hello smart experts, yesterday I was a little proud of a friend, but also a little thoughtful about her new, used smart. It’s a petrol engine (I’m not a smart expert, maybe there are several gasoline engines) and despite its good condition she has some concerns now, because the car has already run over 40 tkm. She has heard – after the purchase – that the life of the engines should not be so high. Since she invested a considerable part of her savings in her car, she naturally wants to drive with it for a long time. What should she do, so that she can enjoy it for a long time? (normal maintenance according to the plan is logical, there are only “special measures” asked. How long do the smart petrolers live according to experience? Of course, the behavior of the drivers depends on the experience, but there should already be experiences. Thanks already for the info re
