Hi, everybody, tonight, the Alfa hit me the side window, the Navi stole, along with some CDs and my wife’s winter coat… What I didn’t know, the hammer… we had to go to the clinic on Friday morning because our second son wanted to be born 🙂 Now my wife cleverly left all the keys in the coat (second key for the car, key for all the entrances in the house)… Well that means replacing the Navi and the side window next to the Navi. The car is insured with SB, further private liability and home supplies… Since we have rented the house, is the lock system for the house perhaps secured by the private HP? carglass and Co. advertise with replacement without SB and without upgrade, even with such damage? What does a site window for a 156 Alfa cost? Greeting, Sven

Let go of the brake, car drives on itself
Servus all here, I have the Ateca as the first owner since 2021. This is 1.5 TSI, 7-speed DSG, Facelift Model. And I have the following: Of course, if you let go of the brake in an automatic transmission, the car rolls itself. Before that I had Passat (also petrol) and it rolled without it giving gas. The new Ateca gives gas even when I release the brake. I understand that, is gasoline, needs gas. But, when braking and stopping at the traffic light I have the following: I brake and can re quite normal, when the gears of D2 aud D1 switch down and I brake/drive 2km/h to 0km/h, he gives gas again as well as when starting. That means he thinks that I want to start again, because I don’t hold the brake so strongly, I never brake full, and drive slowly. Is that so normal or not? It’s really always annoying to hear when driving in at the ample or when standing gas. He does that himself. But when I brake harder, it doesn’t happen… Lg

Does anyone have experience with oil change and inspection of leased vehicle?
My question is addressed to leasing vehicle drivers who did not have their service at Seat. My Cupra Ateca has to change oil in about 3 weeks, according to AI, has almost 20,000 km on the clock. I had an offer from my car dealership made, 273.- € only for oil changes. I find the liter price of motor oil around 25.- € really happy. He also does not allow to bring his own oil. Free workshops do this for half. Has one of you done this before and there were problems with d he return of the leasing car

DSG gearbox “explodes”
My Ateca 2.0 TDI has four-wheeled and 190 hp, is built in 2017 and now has 72000 km on the speedometer. Until yesterday I had no problems with the car, the vehicle was always in inspection as usual. Yesterday, however, it was quite unexpected “in the engine room” while driving through Avignon in Provence suddenly “schattering”, the car was jerking and it felt as if I had run over a bit of metal on the road. A few hundred meters further on. I am then again. and saw a liquid track behind the car and found metal parts on the ground behind the car. Diagnosis: Gear damage (parts of the housing have been blown away). On the one hand I have to see how the car and I come back to Switzerland, on the other hand I also take care of the damage repair. Even if my vehicle warranty has expired, I hope it’s cool on the part of Seat (can’t be that a gear just exploded). Have you had similar experiences with his Ateca? Is it known at best that certain transmission charges may have problems? I’ve been driving a car for several years, but a transmission damage with a four-year-old car amazes me very much… Lieber Gruss – Michael

Facelift Ateca / Cupra
Hello together, Is there any information when the facelift should come? So if I order for example in May, will it be the new model or still the current one? Greetings

AZ: Mégane RS vs. Audi A3 3.2 Quattro
In the current AUTO ZEITUNG (12/2004) there is a comparison test between the new Mégane RS and the top model of the A3 series, the 3.2 V6 Quattro with 250 hp. For a German magazine quite surprising result: with 3548 to 3492 points, the Mégane wins the comparison. Especially in the field of driving dynamics, the Audi is far down despite all-wheel drive!

Engine damage shortly after private car purchase
Hello, so I’m going to describe the situation: My sister bought a Fiat Punto `02 with 85000km privately in August of this year. Among other things, in the offer at Mobile was the note:” Super Carefree: Customer Service 05/07″. So now she has the wagon 3 months, when she noticed a rat, by the way, she is well 1000km far in the meantime. The rat came after her description from the engine room, after which she drove the car on the shortest way into the workshop. first diagnosis: 2 liters of oil were missing, but no oil lamp has lit up yet. Then the final diagnosis: engine damage, bearing entered, a barrel saw, because the piston bolt shifted from its original position and then hit the barrel. Oh yes, the seller no longer had the checkbook of the vehicle. Then on today’s call it turned out that he had the “customer service” not done in a specialist workshop, but “black” yes and if you calculate the middle running reading you get for May – August 4250 km and the 1000km = 4250km. In time a car can not lose 2 liters of oil if externally no leak could be detected. So for me the whole thing sounds like this in court: Either the buddy is to the fact that he made the customer service black and risks a procedure for his workshop, or the seller made a wrong vehicle description and practically no customer service was carried out. Can anyone give me a hint whether it makes sense to do so, it also has a legal insurance! Thanks for your help!

near-parkrempler
who of you can say something to me about the following situation: when parking on a parking lot of a gardening farm, I put back again, since I was standing sloping in the parking lot. because the parking space was narrow, I did this slowly and carefully and especially made sure not to tangle at the front. suddenly my parking help shrills up, I immediately (luckily in time) foot on the brake. pulls close behind me (about 50cm) a car still past to park 2 parking spaces further. at the off I asked the driver if they noticed that almost an accident had happened if I hadn’t slowed down fast enough. I got the answer (type indignant pensioner) jaaaaaa, they had to wait! my answer to it: they saw that I was still standing and was putting back! why did they try to come after me quickly then? they risked a potential accident there! they again: no, they had s After all, I have to wait! I again: but they see that I hardly had a chance to see them!!! then they can’t just drive!!! then I didn’t get an answer, just an indignant look, then she helped her man out of the car, who couldn’t do it anymore. who was right? is that clearly regulated? I always thought §1 was not at the beginning for nothing! to make this clear again: the other is, while I’m waiting back Manoeuvring after me and pushing by with little distance.

Sell a car, please look in and say your opinion.
Hello first of all, I have a problem, which I would like to put here in the forum to all. And this is about, I sold my car last week (privately to private) he arrived and paid cash. Couple of days later he called me again and told me that the lock on the driver’s door is broken and the car can not be opened from the outside and I should participate for the cost (300€). the car was sold without any kind of gun services. If I did not follow this he has informed me that otherwise he will withdraw from the purchase contract (anything of 2 weeks right of withdrawal mean he???). I have had no idea of the broken lock and do not see that I have to participate now. Can you tell me who is right??? must I pay the reperature ??? problem is that he has not notified the car as it looks yet…. I would be very grateful for your help. gruss MT friend

Lupo purchase advice
My friend would like to buy a Lupo. She would spend max. 600€. Actually he should only participate in city trips and therefore consume as little as possible. Actually, I would rather take a diesel, even if it is only 15 000 km a year with it. But in the price range many already have running performances over 100 000km! Is that still acceptable. Does a 3 cylinder petroler last a while? And what about the SDI? Is it recommended. Ithilfe, don’t have a plan from Lupo! Thank you
