Bolt-in or c-clip axles – how to find out what you have?!
Servus people, I don’t have any more glimmers of how to get ahead and thought I could get help here. I have to get a shorter translation on the rear axle and the parts dealer in the USA asks me now whether I have “C-Clip” or “Bolt-in” axles… I have to fit unfortunately and don’t know what I have now. On the differential housing I have “GM2” and “N1235542″ and it’s a 10-Bolt 8.5” as much as I know… I have nen ́74 Firebird with currently 3.08 translation and just di e 10-bolt as an info for those who can help me to clarify this question… Is there an identification, similar to with engines via VIN or with gearboxes with the number of screws on the oil tank, with which you can decrypt what you have now – C-Clip or Bolt-in Axles – without having to disassemble everything? I hope there is a specialist who knows Pontiacs (BOP axes) and can help me… Thanks

Power consumption in idle mode
I am the owner of a 10/2009 he V8 Unfortunately he is currently standing in the garage for longer periods of time. I am used to my previous vehicles that the car still starts after months of service life. Not so with my R8. There is a fully charged battery after approx. 2 weeks empty. Therefore, I often had the case that the battery was completely empty. However, with a trick I could revive it again and again so far. One time I get a note lock, the rope pull is quickly torn off. After my last full discharge I wrote down some numbers. My charger tells me that about 120Ah fits into my battery. Therefore, with a charge current of (initially) 4A I need a few days until the battery is completely full. After a day of service I had to recharge again about 10Ah. I am aware that some consumers (e.g. the indoor monitoring) always stro In addition, the LEDs are constantly glimmering in the engine compartment very easily. But hardly believe that this together makes 10Ah per day. Have also a maintenance charger for some time, but think that the battery does a certain discharge from time to time. Will now take the car no more than a week from the maintenance loader. Is a power consumption of about 10Ah/day normal with the R8?

Damage to the vehicle by Audi Partner
Moin! I have a general question about how you or your Audi partner deal with it when it causes damage to your vehicle. The following background. I had given my car to the R8 partner for service action 19M4 (cooled water tank). I was not entitled to a rental car during the action? Is that normal? When I wanted to pick up my car again, I was received with the sentence “Unfortunately, there was a little mishaps.” The service manager went with me to the car. and explained to me that they would have been stuck in the lifting platform when driving out with the rim and this was damaged. I mounted the standard rims, which I had painted, however, where the rim now has a 5cm long deep scratch on the outer edge, so that there really lacks material there. The service manager told me that they will of course repair the rim but the car would have to stay in the workshop for another 2 to 3 days. The service manager said that this would not be a problem at all and you would contact me again for an appointment. This happened the next day, when I was asked if I would prefer a switch or automatic with the replacement car. I didn’t really care about that, but I asked what kind of car it would be and I got an A1. Now someone who works at Audi had told me that I was working at Audi. If you give off your car there and get a rental car, then you have a right to a nearly identical car in the class. A1 and R8 is already a small difference. Is this so normal or can I insist on another car or would Audi have to show itself in another form “recognizable”? After all, I then have an improved rim and circumstances and costs by having to leave the car again. The R8 partner is not just around the corner. G Ruffles Steffen

Workshop has sold unapproved rims
Hello, today was the day of the evil awakening… But from the beginning… last year in July I bought a Ford Mondeo MKIII (year 2001). In the autumn I had to get suitable winter tires. So I described to the workshop here in the village, my lying down. We then agreed on a set Pirelli Winter Sport 3D, from the workshop I was then told that I would sell suitable and cheap aluminum rims. Said, everything was good… in the spring then the first Sc the rear right tyre has burst at a relatively high speed. Luckily nothing else happens. In the workshop, instead of one, or two new Pirelli Winter Sport 3D, I was simply pulled up an old tire that you had still lying there and sent me away again with the words “Be happy, it’s for nothing”. Since the winter was then also over I put the problem first “in the garage” Now it was again at the Ze As a replacement, I ordered new Pirelli Winter Sport 4D on the Internet, this time in another workshop of my trust (the old one I never wanted to see again) the tires had to be installed, that was yesterday)… Today came the call, the rim on which the then bursted tire is sitting a rough dent, is not to be used safety-technically anymore. Moreover, the new rims from the workshop at the Ve So far my shock was still limited, so I gave the order to replace the defective rim. Only a short time later the next call, the rims that were sold to me in the workshop last year were not allowed for my car at all. Do I have here purely legally to the workshop which sold me the rims any possibilities? After all, I have nothing written, which says that I just for exactly this car, suitable rims wanted…

Bolts summer tires do not fit on winter tires
Hello, I bought my car (Renault Laguna BJ 05/2009 PH3) a few months ago with 8-speed tyres. Summer tyres: 215/50 R17 95V – Michelin Primacy HP Alufelge Winter tyres: 215/55 R16H – Uniroyal steel rim Yesterday I was at Renault for recall and asked if they could also put the winter tyres on me. No problem. When I got the car again, they said that it would not work, because the bolts would be missing .. but I would be for 4€ the Stk (80€) bes I didn’t want to, because I bought the car so completely! I called the dealer (A car dealer from Velbert) and asked if there were any bolts that might have been forgotten. No .. should I organize it for myself. Today I drove to ATU in Bochum. The master looked at the tires and said that they could be done without any problems. Who should I believe now??? If I really need “other” bolts, the dealer doesn’t have to give me them?

KfZ insurance – thank you, I’m served
Hello, today I was reminded once again that the vehicle is in my possession for another year, the KfZ insurance sent me the contribution invoice. There you get a SF class downgraded, but still have to pay significantly more. Well, you have a special announcement right. Flight looking for an alternative, because I sit down almost on the bottom of my pants. Currently I should pay for the vehicle 800,90 Euro. With another insurance the contribution would be 442 Eur o go down !! And that of course with otherwise identical conditions (same mileage, same insurance conditions). Well, maybe you can explain it. But now comes the hammer, which I don’t understand at all: If I were to reinsure my vehicle with my current insurance, I would have to pay only 528 euros Can I please explain the logic behind it? Thank you.

Buick Special V8 56
Hello together! At the moment I look around a little on the used car market, where I am looking for an adequate vehicle for everyday operation, in this section also called Daily Driver. I have to admit that the design of the American cars from the mid-1970s until today does not particularly appeal to me. Often the vehicles are simply too edgy or in the cockpit is a little too much plastic processed. But then when I looked further, I am over a p aar Buick Special from the years between 1953 and 1960, whose design has torn me directly from the stool. Unfortunately, the vehicle descriptions only offer scanty information about the engines and the other technical data of these vehicles. Therefore my questions to the forum: Does anyone know this data or can anyone tell me if in this model the V-8 322in3 or the V-8 264in3 was installed? Perhaps someone has gained experience with such a car and can report on the need for repair and above all on consumption? Is the purchase of such a vehicle recommended or should I rather avoid using newer vehicles in case of emergency? I am very grateful for the answer to the questions, as well as any further information about this car, as the search for infromation on the internet is very difficult. Therefore in advance thank you! Greetings to De Kölsche

Big Malheur happens, welding tips sought!
Bmw/e93/335 People made a mistake when pressing out a bearing by slightly expanding the ACHSEITIGE borehole/storage for the rubber bearing of the longitudinal handlebar. And it was so easy that the bearing of our felt like it was hard to enter and even though it was still pressed in, it was too much of the good and the bearing had too much play, moved and of course broke after a few km of driving. So how do we get the take/boring now closer so that the stock was like If so, how exactly can we do this, do you have other ideas? Would you also like to use your own or sweater/mech which would take care of it. Lg

Is it possible to install a belt lock from another car?
Moin, I wanted to ask once if it is possible and also allowed to install a belt lock from another car. I drive a Honda Civic from 2008 and wanted to try to install the bright Audi belt lock.
