Hello dear Phaetoniasten, I seriously play with the thought of getting a used Phaeton. Not only because he has always liked me, but also because he is quite economically one of the best used ones. Stoss at the gear change (only 2 –>3)
Hello together, My Phaeton 4.2 jerks when I speed up and the automatic transmission goes from second to third gear, with a not so comfortable shock (absolutely not according to the upper class…). That’s only the case if the engine (and gearbox) is cold, there are no problems with warm operation (well, maybe the gear change of 2 to 3 during warm operation is a little less comfortable than the other gear change, but that’s hard to remember). With other gear change no problems, even with cold engine and gearbox. Today the shock was a little less, if I gave hardly any gas when changing from 2 to 3. Who also has this shock, is it normal, who knows what’s going on? No suspension operation, BJ 2009, 27,000 km… bought at the German VW dealer with 23,000 km in August 2013. Lima broken or something else?
Moin, hardly any problem to solve, starts the next one… today a little bit crafted, the glass break sensor changed again, still does not work, I probably still have to go with Volvo again, then seems to be still a software problem -.- however… car stood about 1.5 hours MAXIMAL with open door and interior lighting OUT, so not really THE consumer now… Anyway, the battery was after death… Okay… thought me well, take off help and then were on the way, everything worked out wonderfully, several times between inside and then drove off again after some time… well, then I thought, but now you drive another 10 km of highway, so that at least a little bit of juice is in the battery… Did I think… on the car path up, charging control light went on… SUPER… At home times measured, 13.3 volt charging voltage at EXCELLENT light, at switched light 13,15-13-2 volts… Is it always directly the complete Lima? Or is there still other “main suspect” ? Greet, Hjalmar 🙂

Flasher sound “suddenly” disappeared
I don’t find anything in the manual (PDF & in the car), the search in the forum did not help either and the dealer has a background today: Until a few days ago the noise was there, then I noticed that it no longer works. Used car advice V90
Hello, I am interested in a used V90 (not an annual car, but already a ‘right’ used one with ~100tkm). Is there any sources of error that should be avoided, i.e. engines/gears/equipment features that are known for failures/problems? I’ve heard that the first VEA engines should have had problems with engine damage, the engines in the V90 are still affected by this, if yes, until when? Another wonder point for me personally are automatic transmissions, so I always had trouble so far, so I would prefer a hand switch, but now there are very rarely the V90 as a hand switch (one of them even had a defective flywheel with 130tkm). What about the durability of the transmission? Is there on the part of Volvo maintenance intervals, which are to be considered? Thanks and greetings Olli

Hello everybody, I’m about to order an R-Design XC90II and would like to know how adaptive the LED lights are – real cornering light (not just bending light) is already given, but how is it with the Active Highbeam, can several vehicles be hidden or is “only” the light range adaptively regulated? Unfortunately, I don’t find anything meaningful about this…

Hello dear members here in the forum, I have recently noticed that for all V90 models before the model year 2019 there is also an update of the security assistants in the accessories catalogue:https://accessories.volvocars.com/en-at/V90(17-)/Accessories/Document/VCC-514185/2017 Since I am not least the security systems because of Volvo customer I have asked several friendly Volvo car houses in my northern Hesse environment for the conditions for playing up the “Update” in the naive hope that this is very cheap or possibly even free of charge within the scope of Service 2.0. Finally, it is only about updating systems such as BLIS, which my vehicle already owns as standard equipment or Exta. All car houses wanted about 850€ for the update, which is of course an “Upgrade! What kind of experience have you made? One left from Canadian and American forums already, that the update is ten times cheaper there! What for a statement is the one from Volvo, with the answer, who is basically developing the same thing for the brand and the same thing?

Maximum speed XC90 D5
Hello together, I finally got my new D5-elk on the day of the holiday and was able to drive him on a trip to Fronkreisch right away… After a little more than 1000km I had it crash on the highway – what should I say: Lt. GPS (no, not the Volvo-Navi, GarminStreetPilot!) was the top speed 214 km/h. I meant, however, to have read here that the XC is electronically regulated at 195. Can anyone say anything about this?

front axle (?) jerks/pulses, brake pulsates to the pedal
Hello, municipality! maybe someone can give me a hint: my V40, 80 KW, EZ 06/2000 makes me feel after several weeks of standing outdoor problems, which were previously definivly not recognizable in the set: it is from the front axle (thought it would be at the back) a jerking/pulsing to feel (all city traffic speed, higher sw. not tested yet), and when I then on the brakes climb up (strong or weak = no matter) the brake pulsates very strongly and you can feel the whole thing very clearly in the pedal! brake effect is however excellent as always…! no grinding noise to hear – thought only on rust on the disk. what can that be? at other places I read from loose brake disc!? but how should the suddenly loose, if the car stood for weeks only? problem occurred already on the first meter! who knows what? many gruesses from HH andreas

Delete error memory via key combination?!
Hello together! I once again had a little misignition and accordingly the constantly shining exhaust-warning-light. Normally this can only be fixed by deleting the error memory in the workshop. However, I had my little nephew (3years) sitting in the car and he played around on the Navi. When I caught him, he was just on the way in the “settings”. Strangely only, that suddenly, for the first time since I drove Phaeton, the exhaust-warning-light was out again – without a workshop. How that?!!!
