  • Megane III / Scenic III Radio too silent – Update by Renault released

    One or the other may have noticed that some radios of the above-mentioned models leave the volume of the radio much to be desired, whereas the volume of CD or other external sources is perfectly loud. It is obvious that Renaul has taken advantage of a forthcoming EU directive to limit the volume of the radio. However, one now rows back from the protest of the customers. Which radios are affected so far? The problem with the radios RAD01 with the parts numbers 281150020R and 281150030R is known now What is done? There is a so-called ACTIS solution. Duration of the update is a maximum of 15 minutes. The update bears the following name: ACTISLÖSUNG 8260 Please do not immediately invade the Renault dealer. The update is known in many places, however, many dealers have not yet received the software. It can therefore often continue to last until March. What does the update? The maximum volume of the radio (only related to the radio reception) is increased by up to 6db.

  • Megane OT Geber or – why is the car industry so bad?!

    Hello people. Here’s an example of why the German car industry is going bad. Have a megane and had problems with starting when it is warm. I am to Renault (Munich – the big one, on the ring which is called like the 3 German cities, which are e.g. on the Main or on the Oder). After 5 minutes the nice gentleman with the small electronic device in my hand told me that it is almost safe the OT dealer (crank wave sensor) is. Surely after a large reading from the error memory, which costs quite exactly 50 euros.) If it was then the OT dealer should be, the repair including a new OT dealer with exchange would cost about 300-350 euros. To the facts: The part can be bought from 19 euros(!) and of course new, to replace one needs a ten key and about 3 minutes time! – someone who is a little more skilled needs about 1 minute. There are exactly 2 very well accessible screws and a plug, which you have to plug over.

  • 73er Ford LTD Wagon 429ci suitable for everyday use?

    Hello, I am looking for a classic truck with a lot of cargo space. I came across the Ford LTD Wagon 1973er 429ci. Does anyone here have experience with the everyday suitability of the vehicle? I want to use it for daily use about 50% AB and 50% city. About 20tkm annual output. Can anyone tell me how high the fuel consumption is in the box in urban traffic and on the AB? Can someone tell me what the weak points of the LTD Wagon are? What do I have to pay attention to? What about the spare parts supply in DE for the LTD Wagon? Is it possible that an experienced LTD hass can be used to advise against unburdening? Are there any other tips and suggestions that I should pay attention to? Does someone have an idea (please ask by PN) how to register an oldie with H-sign registration and car gas/natural gas operation? If you don’t get the latter, where do you end up with the normal insurance and tax at the said car? (without H-character) So I hope many questions are helpful here…

  • the first volvo — speed control?

    hello together, I’ve been reading with you for some time in this very nice forum quietly and quietly. well, and now eats so far: I’ll order a v70 d5 “momentum” as a new business car with a switch transmission, premiumsound, children’s seats, roofing. before I do that, I’d like to hear how your experiences with the speed-dependent servo steering are: is it worth it? I didn’t have a chance to test the servotronic myself, but since the box is not exactly a sports car in itself, I tend to order the seat heating instead. what do you guys think? already nice thanks for your help, cleopha

  • XC70 -> Defected air flow meter -> Cost/repair?

    Hi together, with me the air quantity meter (part No. 14 on the drawing) has been defined as a defect. Only thus no misunderstandings arise: I believe this also to my friend and do NOT doubt this! I only ask for more detail here. The air quantity meter is a piece of wire, which is heated to 800°C. The electronics on the sensor now measures the amount of air that is fed to the turbo by the current flow. The more air, the colder the wire, the less resistance, the more current – or so similar. 1. Is it true that this part represents the equivalent value of 500€? For example, at Dell you get a current, complete Pentium 4 computer or a complete installation stove with ceramic field! 2. Is it true that a damage to the measuring wire is caused by moisture and/or pollution and this is also a typical damage to the air quantity meter? 3. A repair of this sensor, looking at the wire is not possible – it has to be replaced by the entire electronics and the housing? 4. How can one (as a laie, so?) test the turbometer is made longer than a test device?

  • V70: Seatrest and heating shorter than before?

    Hello, I don’t know if I’m wrong, but I have the impression that the seat back of my new V70 is a whole bit less long than that of my previous S60 from 01/2003. Also, the seat heating seems to me to be a little shorter, so that it doesn’t reach that high anymore. Can that be or am I wrong? rotto
