  • Gas cylinder valves for Volvo V70 III AFV

    Hello to each other, after having been on the road with my Volvo V70 III AFV (Sweden Import), year 2010, model year 2011, 10Tkm without problems (currently 150Tkm) the switching fuel } gas has given up its mind. My workshop found the error. It is the gas cylinder valves that are worn out. Now it is about getting 3 pcs. new valves as possible.   • The Phaeton and its smell in the interior… or why an S class would not be possible…

    Today I had the opportunity to go with a business friend in his S class (S 500) Punkomüchte. The car is about 7 months old, and has almost 30,000 KM on the tacho. Anyway, it almost “cut me off” as it is in the S class “stinkt”. There are effusions present, the torment every nose…. Otherwise I can only say, the ride feeling and especially the space offered is absolute top! If one considers that the S class is also no bigger than a Phaeton, one asks oneself where this great space feeling comes from. The seat is perfect. If I make the seat completely back, I can not get to the pedals with my 192 cm body length. For me as a seat giant the place is even with a raised seat and with SD to the top gigantic. Schade VW with the Phaeton can not keep there. My business friend wanted to drive once W12. So we made a small round around “Dorf”. After a KhaM he meant “be softly” and “That’s got away from the good stuff.”

  • XC90 D5: unfortunately need new summer tires – which are the best?

    Now have 42,000 KM down with the XC90 D5, of which about 14,000 KM with Michelin winter tires and 28,000 KM with the standard Conti summer tires. The Michelin still have almost full profile, the Conti have especially in the last months greatly degraded – 28,000 KM that is in my view much too little. So I don’t want Conti anymore (apart from that they also “sing” a bit annoyingly. Which all-wheeled summer tires can you recommend to me and how much KM do they run according to your opinion? Rolo his previous Ford Explorer over 60,000 KM ran with the first set “Firestone Wilderness AT” (which unfortunately does not exist in Germany!).

Is the extra €900 for the premium sound system worth it?   • current v70: headpiece adjustable?

    I sat in a brand new v70 today (oooh yes!) and somehow it was a bit uncomfortable. after a while I had out what it was about: the head rest is too far ahead. so at least in the relationship to my my02. t-martin had at the spreewaldtreffen also something of uncomfortable sitting and the head rest told. but somehow I could hardly believe it =;^) now I know what he must have meant! can you somehow adjust the head rest? or do you say at volvo recently: main thing sure, unfortunately uncomfortable for that?
