Dear community, since I have been the proud owner of an XC90 D5 BJ 2004 for 2 days now, I notice the very strict leather smell in the interior. I have the dark leather, is this smell leather specific or with all the leather types used at Volvo (or XC 90) so strong. Does anyone already have experience how to remove this smell to complement or at least something “enchanted”??

I am a great lover of the V90/S90 elegance and of course I am already extremely excited about how it will continue in the future – with the first pictures of the XC90 successor I can not get really warm. The car newspaper reported yesterday (11.04.) about possible successors of the V/S series. Also in need of getting used to, if you can believe the picture (you can?), but nevertheless succeeded, as I mean.

V50 MY 2008 Washers not heated?
Hello together, with the quite kernely tempera doors currently in Cologne (nightly -16°) I noticed that from about 8 degrees minus my windscreen wash nozzles freeze, also at the back. Frost protection is more than sufficient in and the medium is pumped through the pipes. Nevertheless nothing works. If the nozzles are not heated / there is or there was the aje as an option to order, find nothing in the list. What does this look like with you? Greetings from Cologne, Daniel

Been ripped off with parts
Hello, I have to tell you my story, and I paid a lot of money for my stupidity. my SLK 200 was re-equipped in a free workshop (small business) with a wedge-belt pulley and pulleys. He had also found out that I needed a new hydraulic pump, the price for the parts would be 1150€ plus 150€ working time so together 130€. The mechanic said the parts are so expensive the servo pump costs 798€ and the set 280€. I was so stupid and had it done because I needed to drive the car to work. It left me no rest and a few days later he had himself an offer of the parts trading where the mechanic had ordered the parts. The price -30% discount was with everything together with 380€. I drove with the offer to the mechanic and confronted him. Then he only told me to send you a bill, I have to say he made it again without a bill because he said it will be much more expensive. Now he sent me a cobbled invoice, with many positions which he could not even give me?

VW Fox – even more fuel-saving?
Since my Fox is growing more and more at my heart, I will probably keep it for more than three years & drive it. So I want to invest a little more money and collect some ideas on how to make the Fox even more economical. So far the following ideas have come up: – Sports air(exchange)filter – ECO-Chip – Aluminium rims (14″-165er) – Light running oil – slightly increased pressure (+0.2 bar) of the tires What do you think? Could you change even more on the Fox to further reduce fuel consumption? I don’t want to make the Fox a rocket. But I would like to have a small petrol sprite saving miracle in the garage.

I had problems before, however, in the mentioned speed range of 1500-1800 revolutions the vehicle and that in every gear, with a sensible driving mode and not under load. What can this be? According to VW you have carried out compression measurements and the 2nd and 3 cylinder have a pressure of 10 bar and the rest has a pressure of 12-13 bar. If the problem is here or comes from the transmission. The microphones have already been tapped and noises have been detected in the transmission, however, according to VW this transmits from the engine to the transmission. Hello, with a Ford dealer around the corner there is a Volvo V60 AWD D4 Cross Country Momentum from 2017. engine capacity 2.400 cm3 kilometers 56,322 km fuel diesel first registration 2017 type combi, 0-door power 140 kW (190 hp) transmission automatic Price: almost 25T€ I don’t know now about the equipment packages of Volvo. In addition, it has heating and AHK. It is almost like new at the dealer. What do you think of the V60? Are there any special flaws or upcoming service obligations with the V60? Does it actually have a steering chain or timing belt? I come from a Honda Accord 2,2Diesel from 2006, which I now have to deliver with more than 370Tkm. I am currently looking for a successor as family coach for around 20T€, which has a potential for at least 8 years or 200-250Tkm. Unfortunately, combos in the segment are really scarce.
