High oil consumption V 70 D3 2016
Hello, our Volvo now consumes about 1 liter of oil on 4000km. I have to say that it already has about 270 000 km (2 liters with 150hp). Since we are otherwise very satisfied with the car, we think about having the car repaired. But before I go to a workshop without any information and possibly get some answer, only to fill the register of the workshop (have unfortunately made several bad experiences), I would like to know which causes are mostly behind it and with which costs I would have to reckon with. SMART 451 Heating cold
Hello Smart friends, I’ve been having a problem with my Smart fortwo for 2 days now. the following to the vehicle: Smart Fortwo MHD 61PS (Benzin) Bj 4/2011 without climate and 52000km. I did the following action 2 days ago: Changing the rib belt without opening any cooling circuit and without having removed any plugs. Alternator tightened back, strap old down and strap new on it. Running direction etc. everything noticed and also voltage checked. Engine runs 1a and also MHD works great. I don’t know if it can be related to it, but the following problem: My heater only blows cold air out of the ventilation. There’s no difference between warm or cold. Engine runs 1A and does not overheat either. Cooling water in the tank is also hot and without excessive overpressure. Heating blower works perfectly in all stages, but only cold air comes up. I have read similar problems with air in the heating circuit. I can’t shut out because I’ve changed nothing on this and the compensation tank is both since 20km. Heating blower works perfectly in all stages, but when there’s no hot air is used.

Reporting “brake wear”
Today, for the first time, the message “brake lining wear” came in the display. According to friendly people, the brake discs were already slightly lowered in the front in April, but still ok. That makes sense: first change after 40,000 km, now at 90,000 km that fits already. (Hints have held the brake discs 70,000 km). Now the question: does this message mean that (also) the brake discs are down, or does it really only mean the brake pads? These would be significantly cheaper to replace. Can it be that the pads are to be changed more often than the discs? I thought it was always exchanged. It also doesn’t stand there whether the front or the rear is the wear. In the most stupid case, I let everything change in the front and in truth only the pads are down at the rear… Either way or so: I never had this message before. Does anyone know that? Normally, the NL is changing rather early, so that it doesn’t come to the report at all.

G55K: Curious problem with the ZV (does not work with keys, otherwise already)
Good day together I have a curious problem with my 2005 G55K. Last week as usual in the underground car park, button pressed at the key for unlocking… Alarm system starts…? At some point and somehow I got the alarm system to silence. Since then the opening and closing of the key does not work any more! Both keys try, batteries replaces…Nada. When I go off, the vehicle closes all doors as usual. When I press the button for the ZV on the dashboard it also works as on the first day. Did any of you ever have the problem before? There has to be a receiver for the signal, right? Where does it sit? I thought to ask you – before it goes to the friendly. Best thanks and greetings from Switzerland Benny

G-Class purchase advice – where to find?
Hello and good evening, I am looking for a purchase advice for G-classes of the 80s/90s (460 resp. 461/463). In the S-Class Club there is a nice illustrated PDF, which clearly explains all neuralgic points. Is there such a thing for the G too? On the G-Club side I found nothing, or is there only in the member area? I know, here there are many threads to it. But there are always here and there the information is scattered and I thought maybe it would be in compressed form. Wagon remains at 20km/h
Dear friends, it happens regularly at the start. When I start the car and start with a cold engine, the car stays at 20km/h while the speed at the pressure of the gas pedal rises from about 1500 to 2100 rpm at the same speed. After about 5-8 seconds the spook is over, the car switches back and then runs normally. Feels a little like during the emergency run. The problem is only just after the cold start. The engine lamp does not work. Also no errors are saved. Does anyone have an idea?

Looking for the Phaeton….
Hello everyone, I have been reading with you in this forum for a long time now and I have to say that for the very first time – hat off!! Competent people, reasonable handling tone, meaningful answers to questions, help if needed. That’s how it should be, but not always. I know this from other forums also differently. So, now to my problem, I’m looking for “my” Phaeton. At Mobile, hm – a lot of garbage. My demands, must be GP0, not more than 9000,- cost, should have the 3.2 l machine, best converted to LPG. Summer/winter bikes should be there. AHK is important to me, sliding roof as well. What can I expect, is this realistic? Who can help or wants to sell themselves. Thanks for your opinion.

Seal on KDR leaks
Moin from HH, I have been more or less happy owner of a V40 for a few weeks now. Since he starts off badly, I changed the spark plugs and cables and coils and in some kind of fit of stupid idea the KDR bolted to look at which it is. Now it is leaking, i.e., it only drips now, – after it was sprayed out in the high bow before, at the place where it is screwed into the pipe of the supply line to the ESD. I have used another seal meanwhile. (No originals of Volvo, had still one in the appropriate size.) The, which was installed, however, I also saved. Does anyone have an idea like me get it really dense? Ic dare not really drive me at the moment because of the petrol dripping. It is the 1.8 engine with 122hp, Bj 2001, automatic with 1783c.
