Moin Together! I’d like to ask you what damage can be caused to vehicles that were or were driven in the flood. I have three photos that may represent a few scenarios. Scenario 1: The car stands up to the door handles in the water and is not moved. As far as it can be recognized, there is no water in the passenger cell. Is that possible at all? What can happen in the engine compartment? Would the vehicle still be repairable? Scenario 2: The car stands up to the wheel hub Can towing in the water cause damage that would otherwise not be expected. How do brakes, axles and exhaust systems react to the standing time in the water? Scenario 3: The car travels through an area with increased water level, large puddle. Can the motor be damaged by driving? Keyword engine ventilation! Can water get into the exhaust system or is the exhaust pressure too high? If so, what happens then? Are there big differences w ie the technology / parts react, whether it is sweet, salt or brackish water? The questions ask themselves to me, after in another thread in the traffic & safety forum a user wanted to drive his car dry. In addition, I had a situation similar to in scenario 3 after the flood with us, and now the question arises to me, whether my car got thereby damage or can still get? Also interested me, how insurances regulate the damage? TK vs VK? To what extent am I as a Holder/insurer in the duty to remove my car from the area. In other words, if I have to secure my house, I have to put my car in safety? What if I don’t have time for it? Does the insurance also regulate damage from trips due to floods or very large, deep puddles? Ibiza 6L engine is no longer racing and starting
Hello, my son has a problem with his Ibiza 6L 1.4 75hp, year 2004: the engine has probably raced and raced strangely (bright audio file), did not pull out properly and then went out. Dealer recommends oil changes after 2,500 kilometers… did you do that?
My dealer recommended that I change the motoroel after the start-up phase. According to his announcement, this makes sense after 2,500 kilometers. Is this really useful or is it just an attempt to use the workshop and take money? Did your dealer also point out to you when picking up a vehicle? I found nothing in the on-board book on the subject. Environmental pollution caused by Altoel (disposal etc.) if senseless unnecessary oil changes would have to be carried out then disk If 8 out of 10 new car owners let this be done, a lot of “altoel” comes together, which would actually be perfectly fine… In my opinion, an oil change in today’s new cars should not be necessary anymore, or do you actually have advantages? Hello! I take the windscreen wipers at the front and back are identical with the Toyota Aygo, as well as Pegeout 107 and Citroen C1?! Now it’s getting autumny. What do you use for the front windscreen wiper at Aygo and Co.? Cheap e.g. from Aldi with handle? Or Aerotwin from Bosch? The prices go there from 5,- cheap offers to over 30,- for brand wipers. Did I drive the engine in the Auris, not the top cracker but I hope that I will be rewarded with a low fuel consumption, does any of you know something about the light running oil used in this engine? Unfortunately I haven’t found a test yet and also no type classes, have taken it incl. 16″ and as a 4-door, would be in 2 weeks but I wait until March because of the salt on the road, for current information I would be very grateful 🙂
