  • Eisenmann Sound faded this morning !!! Despite Level 3

    Tach, this morning a black Honda CRX Vtec drove in front of me. Had a double pipe system installed. Although still looked like Grandma’s oven pipes, but still went halfway.     Hello dear car friends, I am a little unsure at the moment. I drive my current CUPRA Leon just over a year and have just under 2 leasing years ahead of me. To the car: – Year of construction 2022 – have been a rental car for a year before! – KM Stand approx. 23,000 I had a few days ago made a professional treatment with polish and varnish seal for not a little money out of love for the car. The conditioner fulfilled an exceptionally good job! t learned hand wash! As in the pictures it is easy to see, I have a funny scratch (stone stroke) and on the bonnet already 5 mini small (without pictures) especially on the front apron. Now the question is whether there were already from the predecessor which were in it and whether these are known to the dealer and thus not re-evaluated/calculated again? I drive in everyday life little highway and if I drive fast AB, most of the time ns only with little traffic. I keep my distance! When I was first amazed at how much the car can shine after the preparation, I was disappointed at the next moment when I saw the non-repairable Mackers and impacts at home while looking at them. It just makes me manage to do so, because I am afraid that it will look a lot worse in two years and then I could be asked by the dealer to pay off properly on return. Is it rough to say if I’m going too crazy or if it’s really realistic to see the pictures like this? PS: my conditioner said my car is in a great condition and would currently estimate to go back to zero, as it looks like normal wear.   • Solid combo without frills (Mercedes w 124 vs. Volvo 850 / V70)

    Hi, I was only car-sharer so far and would like to get my first car. Mainly I would like to drive out of the city on weekends (about 150 km/W) and of course also one or other city- and other overland trip will not be missing. However, the car will not be driven to work. Since I will transport some things, I am looking for a station wagon. At the same time I am looking for a car, which can be repaired halfway and the possible I’m looking for a commercial vehicle, not a prestige car or a pleasure car. According to my research, especially in this great forum, I’ve now landed at the models S 124 from Mercedes (w124 230 TE to MOPF 1) and 850 or V 70 I from Volvo (petrols). I realize that the old cars are and that one or the other can occur. But I’d rather buy a solid old car without any expected loss of value than a newer car with In my view, a lot of unnecessary Schnick Schnack, which can only be repaired by half-timbered workshops with IT devices. I had presented myself at a price of up to about 4,000 euros. All three models seem to be very solid constructed and produced cars, which can last for a long time even with very high running performance with reasonable maintenance. There seems to be enough spare parts and workshops for all. the Volvos of the more edgy 850s are better than the more modern V 70. But that is, as written, no essential criterion and I have the feeling that it is easier to get a V 70 I without rust than the two other models. In addition, the 124s and 850s have already had a few more years on the hump. Especially the topic of rust seems to me to be a real problem with the Mercedes. I would prefer an automatic transmission, despite the higher consumption, and at least with the M ercedes don’t seem to be error-prone either. Now I would be interested in your esteemed opinion.   • Camshaft earlier running C20NE

    Hello has a clue, have me a C20NE processed channels on 40mm valve seats to outside. Compression raised to 10.5 SEH camshaft, adjustable cam wheel, fan manifold, 24V Kat with 57mm passage group N system. Eprom adapted. now to the problem; I let the cam run a little ahead( wanted to lose power and responsiveness from below) engine runs well, now also turns willingly up to 6800/Umin, at my age I turn but not there, have at 6500 good connection. w I start with high outdoor counters in the city traffic uphill e.g. ringing for a fraction of a second. so my thinking; the engine has an OT dealer. the rest of the ignition characteristic is stored in the Eprom, distributor is rigid. because I run the camshaft earlier. so in the direction of a clock. away from the make-up. is the runner in the cap yes also earlier. if I put the cam in the direction of the original the runner is later on the first Zylind he and the spark. or am I completely on the wooden way.??? if someone can think in and give me advice please answer.   • C20NE Problems + Conrod bearing damage ?!

    Since I have my C20NE in the Corsa there are a few problems. Even though: 1. What can it be that my NE is already operating hot after 2KM driving ? Already shortly after starting the fan radiates extremely heat. Have then 95° operating temperature which can also be held. In the stand it goes up to 100° until the fan goes on. Thermostat is 100% in order because the cooler is bang “hot”. 2. He dies as soon as I have driven longer sometimes in idle mode and is then only with gas 3. Now I hear a strong knock on the area of the 2nd cylinder. From below you can hear that very well. What could that be, conrod bearing damage? But from the head that does not come.   • Experience with Irmscher LPG plant

    Which users already have experience with the LPG analge by Irmscher. Man always tells me (selnst dier kinder opel dealer you should leave your fingers away from LPG in together with Opel engines. However, this should be remedied with the Irmscher analge allegedly – is more expensive than the otherwise offered analgen but if it as alternative would help that would be good. Also with the Opel dealers in recent times you can see now more often that your Astras and Vectras with the Irmscher Offer analge for sale. As a loyal and longtime Opel driver and frequent driver it would of course be interesting to drive with LPG system. So please all come back with your experience. Thanks in advance

The first question concerns the wheel which hangs in the back and I would be interested in your opinion here: The question arises whether you can mount it or leave it away better and remove the holders and seal the screw sockets. Actually, I would like that and you would also have eleminated 2 places where you can rust. What else you should know is that the wheels are bigger than normal and Probably a problem could occur anyway if you put the holder and the wheel on it. So the core question is, is really something against letting go of the stupid wheel and welding the sockets (alternatively turning screws with rubber seal pure). Here are some more pictures.
