Hello, first of all I have to say that my topic has nothing to do with vehicles, but maybe I am lucky that my contribution reads someone who knows about insurance. So, at a birthday party my laptop was badly damaged. The case was reported to the responsible liability insurance and submitted the estimate. The insurance now wrote back to me, they only transfer the net amount and the VAT only with the completed rep. and submission of the added amount. My question is now, what does it look like if I don’t want to have the laptop repaired and prefer to buy a new one for it? Do I have a chance to refund VAT? The laptop was bought in June 2006 (799EUR) the damage amounts to 403EUR (net). Eine Rep. is honestly too tricky for me, because after that something might not work that way, because there was a damage that you don’t see immediately and then it takes forever. In short, when Do I have a chance to get the VAT, too? I hope you understand my problem. Thank you very much in advance PS. please don’t be mad, I know it doesn’t belong here, but I don’t know any other advice. I think I’ve heard of Astra-H drivers here who know about insurance. Would be really cool if someone could help me. I want to call the insurance company tomorrow and I want to know what I’m talking about. MFG

Ust. deduction in case of service accident with private car
Hello, my girlfriend had an accident with her private car on a service trip with total damage. The service obligation is not denied by the insurer (Zurich), however, he insists on deduction of the complete VAT. In my opinion, the vehicle should be subject to a difference tax when replacing the vehicle (Peugeot 206 5.5 years). The problem is that the replacement is already empty in this area at the estimated replacement value.

Audi R8 to ca. 60tsd E€
Hello dear R8 community, I’ve been browsing the forum for a long time, because I’d like to buy an R8. Unfortunately I only have a very specific budget ( about 60000 € ) . I would be very grateful if you would think of me if you hit an R8 in this price situation. For me, R-Tronic and full leather seats are important. I have now read about an upgrade of the engine again and again, from which year of construction is a R8 recommended? Something from the year of construction, in which also the FIS I’d be grateful for advice and action. Speaking of, I’m called Se and I’m from Regensburg.

1.8T jerks (LMM, ignition stages, throttle valve)
Hello, my 1.8T has been jerking since recently. Here’s the very exact error description: 14 days ago he didn’t jump on after a short stop (5min) with warm engine. Only after I gave a bit of gas when I started it went on and then had about 2 minutes of strongly fluctuating stand gas, after that the stand gas was constant. That with the not jumping occurred then opener, I always gave some gas (as above) and could drive. Until today, if I started the now (engine is still warm) then the stationary gas does not stop to fluctuate and when I take the gas away it goes out. I used to dig intensely google after the problem. The following things could apply: – defective air mass meter – defective at ignition stages – throttle flap flat. I changed the spark plugs today (they had it not) but the problem is still. Did you have a problem of any kind? How can I exclude something? Can I check the wound coils? Thank you And bye Andre

A6 3.0 Preheat engine for short distance?
Hello experts, I plan to get an A6 Avant 3.0 TDI (current model) soon. Unfortunately, the vehicle will be moved to 80% on short distances (about 5 km), but I need a large powerful vehicle for the rest of the journeys and I don’t want to get 2 vehicles. Now my question: does an engine preheating (e.g. by a heater) help to reduce the harmful cold start and especially the bad short distances and the associated consequences? Mei n Workshop master strongly advises me from this purchase. He said that such a large engine would always have to be warmed up at least 10 to 15 km, so that long-term damage would be avoided -> but he did not show me an alternative solution. The vehicle will definitely always be parked in a garage and electricity is also available. Or is my worry even exaggerated or even unfounded with the new engine generations? Thanks already for your answers and Greetings.

DRINGEND: Workshop in South Baden wanted – Paschke or Friedemann??
Hello together! After Hirsch closes next week in Freiburg, we stand with our two new cars (Renegade + Granny SRT) now guaranteed and workshop-like in the rain – shit! The two nearest dealers are Paschke in Offenburg and Friedmann in Bühl … has someone experience with it? I don’t want to get into a visually remodeled Fiat workshop again, in which no one really has any idea of Jeep … Thanks for experiences/recommendations! Christian, Freiburg

Have collected our Citroen C1 1.4 HDI …..!
Yesterday it was finally so far and we picked up the “new” car of my girlfriend. First a few short dates, then I post a few first “rain snatch shots”……. The vehicle: Citroen C1 1.4 HDI EZ 05/2006 27,000 km – 1st hand / accident-free silver – metallic climate, CD radio, radio ZV, 4 floor mats *g*Consumption after 700km Home journey: on average: 4.6 liters / 100km at about 125km/h Average speed In the appendix I make a few “first impressions” n, unfortunately it rains only since yesterday, as soon as I have better, I post this of course……! The first impression of the car is great, if you look at the relation price/performance! Because where else I get a diesel with relatively “complete” equipment and this mileage by just 7000 Euro…… ????? I have a question but right away…! The car has now about 27000km on the clock, at 30000km the first service is due…! In the instructions it says that after 1500- 2000km is a first service due at Citroen, which is absolutely necessary for the maintenance of the warranty…!This service is missing in the service booklet and has not been carried out…. Do you think that I still have a warranty claim, especially if I have the 30000km check done at Citroen or do you think that the lack of this “entry service” has already brought about the extinction of the guarantee ??? If there is no help here, is there still on the net other good “start addresses” that could answer my problem regarding the guarantee ???? Thank you already for the help and now have fun with the pictures….! Many greetings from Passau! Johannes

Need help With turbocharger upgrade1.8T AJQ –>AUQ
Hello. So first of all I have to apologise to cut the topic again but I need a definite answer so whether it fits or not. Topic….again…K03 series on K03 “Sport” I have a 1999 AJQ 132kW Quattro with this loader here: 06A 145 704B that should be the stink normal K03 without any frills from the K04 I would like to treat myself to a so-called K03 sport because this nevertheless promotes even more pressure at high speeds. My question refers to as o to the accuracy of this sport loader because I don’t like any other major modifications like crushers and the like. According to my research this loader should be: 06A 145 704 T from the AUQ engine one of the so-called “sport” loaders which has the same dimensions of the normal K03. However, this loader is only installed in the AUQ 132kW and AUM 110kW engine…both without Quattro!!! Fits this loader with my AJQ Quattro engine together with the other components AND it is with this loader ACTUALLY around a so-called “sport” K03 with K04 compressor side (turbine wheel)… In the parts catalog I find for my year of construction only the 06A 145 704 M 06A 145 704 P loaders which should be the real K04 loaders since these have been installed in the S3 and for me are uninteresting because you still need several other parts (carryers etc…) I ask for an answer from people who really definitely know if the loader fits and if it is really one… mfg and many da nk in advance Joe edit: Also a stupid question…So the engine is chipped and brings with the normal K03 loader up to approx.4500U/min rich 1.5Bar charging pressure (real value!) however the pressure drops to only 0.6Bar until the end what is normal with the loader…If I ever install this sport loader there is still enough gas pressure or should I buy such a petrol pressure control valve for 3.6Bar….

Redesign and 2 questions before purchasing decision R8 4.2
Hello dear R8ler, I have been a “silent profiteur” and co-reader of this forum for some time, since my wife and I want to extend our fleet (BMW 5252d and Q7 3.0 TDI) to a used R8. So far I have been able to learn a lot from this forum and would like to thank all of you for this. Today we have borrowed a R8 candidate from the friendly who comes for us question. Is a 2009 R8 4.2 Coupe with 19T km on the clock. I noticed two things about the candidate, which I would like to have your opinion about, since I did not find by search function: 1. the vehicle is equipped with LED front lights, both of which are fogged from the inside (since this morning and even now after several hours in the garage). The fogging from the inside is on the side towards the front grille. The friendly said that this was normal. I added a picture, you can use the fitting as a white surface. 2. In the idle in N with running engine one hears at the rear of the vehicle clearly an irregular smearing or gluging at the level of the tailpipes. Sounds almost as if the fridge only shucks louder and it is irregular, almost as if there is any liquid not pumped properly. We would like to buy the car, but these two points still make me manage before the purchase decision. I hope I could lay everything necessary to you. I would be delighted to hear your views on both points above. Greetings, Klaus
