  • Winter tires – experience

Hello! Unfortunately, I am once again spoilt for choice! Therefore, I am asking for the middle of your experience. I need new winter tires (225/55/R17) for my Espace. I have driven the Kumko KW17 on my previous Espace for the last 4 years. The car was delivered at the end of Nov. and quickly I got no other brand in this dimension (except bigger 200.- the piece – following prices always included, balanced). I was then totally skeptical about the Kumho, but d he told me so positively that I dared. Today I can say I did not regret it. At that time I paid for the Stk. 125.- and so I drove to the 30,000km (tire wear at Espace generally slightly higher, but still less than 5mm residual profile depth) and the driving characteristics were good in all weather conditions (drying 1, wet 1, snow 2, consumption less than with the Michelins in summer – it also falls away the climate nail, noise like summer riding All over 160.- the piece, in my opinion, does not fit price/performance. Why? Because I was completely disappointed on my predecessor cars with a so-called test winner (Michelin – clear note 5) and if I consider this today the GoodYear was also not better than the Kumho. Therefore I tend to.: Falken HS-439 (130.-) Nokian WRG2 (145.-) Kumho KW 27 (145.-) ev. Hankook W300 (145.-) ev. Semperit Speed-Grip (155.-) It would be great if ever one has experience with the tires and this would tell me. (drying, rain, snow, noise (he tends to sew tooth formation), wear) Thank you very much for your answers. Greeting Joe

  • New winter tires needed despite enough profile depth?

Hi, recently bought a W124 on which already Conti Wintercontact 810 winter tires from 2004 were mounted. I checked the profile with one € and the golden edge is completely covered. On our road is an ice layer with some snow over it and when I wanted to drive our daughter to school this morning and wanted to turn on the road I got stuck. Around the cars is a larger pile of frozen snow and I stood across the road, the tires dre Without the help of nice AWB staff, I would not have come to my parking lot or anywhere else. Is this because of the extreme weather conditions, or do I need new tires despite enough profile. My wife has new all-year tires from Hancock on her Twingo and could then drive our daughter to school. And I don’t know if I still have problems with new tires on ice and the money is then thrown out for nothing. t on the vehicle (weight, drive, etc.)?

  • DS7 speedometer after changing from 19 to 20 inches

Moin Moin, I’ve been thinking all the time about changing from my 19’s performance line rims to the Dotz Suzuka in 20 inches; tyres 245/45. The usual computers to roll-off circumference, of course, now sound the alarm that the legally permitted tolerance is exceeded and the deviation goes negative. At 100km/h the speedometer then shows only 98,5km/h. Even cheese, but understandable. Actually, now the speedometer has to be adjusted. Only that I then again in doubt. In this case, the speedometer would indicate a higher speed than is actually appropriate. Now the question is: is the DS7 so smart, because oh so premium, and checks that independently/adjusts itself to the new roll circumference? I think of the tire pressure system. This only complains if the roll circumference on a wheel has changed due to the lack of air pressure. Can this in doubt the workshop with a snap of the finger in the middle of the wheel. Dear thanks in advance to you! Denny

  • DS 7 Hybrid and washing line

Good smears, I’ve had my DS 7 since yesterday and I’m positively surprised. A really great vehicle. Let’s see how it proves itself. But now on the actual topic. I would like to free the car from the road salt and drive through a wash road. Now I found in the operating instructions at all possible places hints on the use of the vehicle in wash roads. A complete “instruction” but not. In the past, you didn’t need such a thing because cars were still cars. are it more computer … Therefore my question to you, how do you handle this with the following points or if you know any further points: 1.) Expand the mirror (is that really necessary?) 2.) In the front area and in the area of the underbody no high pressure wash must be carried out (this will be quite difficult, because nowadays high pressure is used for every underbody wash. Just like driving into the Faschstraße every time a short high pressure wash of the entire vehicle takes place.) 3.) Komf Deactivate the opening function of the rear cover. (Very impracticable if you have to do this separately every time. Does the tailgate open under the washing process?) Do you turn off the AUto when you are in the wash road? Will not go if it is one with pulling device, as the wash road is blocked. So, do you run the vehicle and set it on N? Is there anything else to consider? Thank you very much!

  • DS7 – Storage Lordosis support

For almost 2 years I haven’t been reading the topic with us yet. So I assume that I am the only one who is affected. I’m still trying: I have a performance line with leather seats, but without a massage function. There I can still set the Lordose support. However, I noticed that the setting for this is not stored correctly. At times I had the feeling that it is not stored in general. Or the pumped-up Ki But it is sometimes the case that the support is pumping up, even if it was still a bit pumped up – and that is to the value that I had tried to save. In short: The part does what it wants. Either it is not there after start or it kicks me in the back. The workshop said that it cannot reproduce the problem and therefore a solution is difficult. Am I the only one who has this problem?

  • Buy me the DS7 E-Tense 4×4 , question to the driver community

Next week I will buy a DS7 E-Tense 4×4, but would have a question to someone who actually owns it and drives it: Was yesterday looking at vehicles at two dealers. No test drive done yet. Both vehicles at the dealers started directly the burner when pressing the start button. I tried to switch to driving mode “Electric”, parked vehicle again, started vehicle again and engine started immediately again. 1.) Is that always like this? 2.) Remember d he DS7 the last chosen mode? Greetings, Maddin

  • mac attack 600 high level input

I’ve been searching for information for a long time but neither found in the web nor directly here in the forum. it’s high input level inputs of a Mac Audio Mac Attack 600 amplifier. after 2 moves I can’t find the DBA anymore. Now I’ve changed the car and would like to use this from BMW original radio. As this doesn’t have a low level out I want to use the high level input of my end stage. The amplifier has 6 ch. each for low and high input. For high input there are 3 books I can’t see which pin + and which one is. I’ve already written to Mac Audio but they can’t help me, because it’s an older end stage that won’t be supported after taking over the company… Now I’m standing on the hose. Maybe someone has a similar end stage, e.g. Mac Attac 200 or 400, or just know how the pins can be used. I have opened the case to see if there is a name on the board but unfortunately only ch1+2 … 🙁 Thank you for any information in advance. Rob. PS. the sockets look like this from the ° ° ° ° , so with 4pins each. I have seen with a newer power stage name like: +–+ but again with other +-+- now I don’t want to break anything and just connect to pi-mal-daumen. PPS. Can unfortunately not take a photo today… if I want to do it tomorrow and 😉

  • Low pass for tweeters

Hello as a front system have the phase Linear 165.25 Fully active on a Helix 400 MK2 with the matching crosscards, as headunit I have the Alpine 9855 R. tweeter sits in self-built mirror triangles Now my problem of high sound is too intrusive not from the level but simply from the music. I find it dissolves too far still (frequency band). Does anyone know where I get a low pass filter from about 18kHz or, if I can build it myself ???? And then which values for Wi state and capacitor?? Thank you already in advance
