  • Mirror housing beats white !

    Well…..have you already seen that your exterior mirrors turn white…….have even partially the new vehicles when they are delivered. Register with VW ! VW has introduced a 100% reporting obligation for all Fox. Before repair by the workshop the damage must be reported. There is currently no rep. on guarantee without a pre-registration to the factory !!!!!!!!!!

  • Cruise for the Fox

    I would like to know if it is possible to install an original VW cruise control in a Fox 1.4 (75 HP gasoline) – e.g. with the turn signal lever from the Polo or Golf IV. The question is whether the cruise control function is stored in the control unit of the Fox and can be activated…… Has anyone already gathered information or even experience? Thank you!

  • BMV-712 Smart

    Since my current expansion, this week, I have now one: “BMV-712 Smart”. A “battery computer”, which shows everything possible, stream in, or out and how long it has been, etc.. Also a logfile is created, which you can look into the past. What I miss very much is the function that the mobile (so it remains in the car, but I always have such an ancient ipad in the car) sends every 24h (or configurable) a mail with the data. As for example the fritzbox, if you have the of course it’s great that I can read my data on the car, comfortable with BT, but it’s really great if it’s done from afar. I’m not a fan of cloud, but an email every 24 hours with the battery status, that would be great. Someone has a solution for it, maybe even with a raspberry. The solar controller (from the same manufacturer) can pretty much do that, but also don’t see that he would send his log as mail. w

  • Refrigerator defective

    Hello dear camper community! My Elektrolux RM 200 has given up its mind. It does not work with electricity or with gas. Is there possibly the cooling liquid evaporated? Is there a repair (38 years old), or is there a cheap replacement for this type? The newer models have quite different dimensions,unfortunately. Who had the same problem before,and how was it solved?     I would be interested in experiences with the Handless-free system at Megane 3. Does this really work over the years always trouble-free ? Have there ever been problems with the key card ?

  • Engine start-up

    Hello, I have a question with regard to the drive-in from given cause (new 3.0 TiD engine). The operating instructions make no difference between diesel and petrol, speaks of no more than 5000 rpm on the first 2000 km and no long full-gas runs up to 3000km. 5000 rpm, that is already beyond good and evil with the diesel anyway. Does this mean that I can drive the engine from the beginning “normal” (of course not kick, no full-gas runs etc), or do well dara n to turn it only up to 3000 or 4000 rpm?

    Hello, I would like to change the matte silver interior strips of my SL R231 by water transfer process in carbon optics. In my former BMW’s, the interior strips were removed without any problems, or a guide for the extension was found. Therefore my question: Does anyone have a guide for the interior strips? Thanks for help.

  • SL R129 Bj 95 – Central locking system sometimes does not work (infrared)

    Hello together, I bought a SL 500 R129 on the first day when I wanted to register it, I did not get the car with the infrared remote controls any more. It didn’t want to flash green or open and if you unlock the door with the key is the immobilizer inside and the alarm goes off at the start. I thought it was due to the batteries but these were exchanged and after 2-3 hours it worked again. It happens every 1-2 weeks that it nic ht works and after that you can open or close normally again. Both keys don’t work – so it can’t be because of it. Did someone have this problem before or knows what it might be? Thanks Pat
