  • Strange feeling on a night trip

    I have a problem at the moment. I’m driving a little over 30 years. Two-wheeler. I say extra two-wheeler because the last one was a 250cc scooter. After 6 years I wanted to ride a bike again. I mainly go to work with it because I have less time on the weekend. I work shift and therefore always have a dark ride with me. Early shift morning…middle shift night home. Now my problem…at night and in the morning there is a lot of cattle running around on the train. I’ve been nervous since I ran a little rabbit into the rear wheel a few weeks ago. Luckily, I don’t see a huge field bunny. You can see little at night..Suddenly, such an animal comes running out of the grass. Even in the car I scare briefly…there I just killed a few rats. At the moment I doubt if I should continue driving or give up. I think I’m getting old..I think and that’s a mistake when I ride a motorcycle.   • Tank derusting with home remedies? Chemist asked

    My non-motorcyclist god-gat has got himself a two-wheeled, motorized driving something … see my Sig. ( I can’t write this out here ). We will then restore the thing over the winter. In order to be able to drive, the rust has to get out of the tank. Now to the various methods known to me: 1. Coke – well, we drink it better then – but the principle with phosphoric acid (even more concentrated – just how strong ?) – would also be a possibility. Only in the tank ? I am right that the rust does not dissolve but only oxidizes and then you have to scratch everything down, right? Now I got a tip for solution no. 4. I am interested now if this has already been tried out. And indeed: Take the tank. Fill it (naturally developed) with a mixture 3:1 with water/sodium hypochlorite … so chlorine … not in pure form but the toilet cleaner (e.g. the Klorix stuff). Now take a charger for motorcycle batteries and hang the positive pole of the charger into the solution in the tank, and fix the terminal so that it can not come into contact with the inner wall of the tank (otherwise there is a short circuit!). The minus pole then becomes to an unpainted place on the tank, z .B. clamped to the thread from the gas tap and the miracle can begin. After 2 – 3 hours the rust should be gone. An advantage would be the disposal of the mixture. Does anyone know this already? Is the attempt worthwhile?

    Hello dear community, For now, I hope I posted this in the right category. So I have the following concern/”problem”. I bought an Alfa 156 GTA (3.2 V6 – 250 hp) 2-3 months ago. I’m still totally happy with ‘him’. However, I started thinking about which car I might be considering next. I’ll keep the Alfa for at least the next 5 years, I know – you’ll probably think now wi The reason is because I have been more and more busy with downsizing and just read bad things about it. I’m not a turbo-fan in general, I admit this too openly, but I might be able to become friends with a bi-turbo. I just love suction engines, because I like performance and cruising. So the following is causing me headaches, I also want to be in 5, possibly 10, years at my next car purchase. it is a car that gives me so much pleasure as my Alfa. But is this still possible at all? I think (so it is also in many reports etc.) that the time in which good cars are built are over. Vlt. I only exaggerate (hopefully), but one often hears it is the plan of the car industry to completely wipe out the used car market and I think they are on a good way to implement this.   • New brakes = loops + hot get normal?

    Hello all, I was advised to renew the brake discs and brake pads at the front of my car. Said done. I went straight on holiday and already made 2000km with the new brakes. Brakes work quite normal. So far so good But I hear a slight grinding noise from the front. When I touch the brake discs they are hot like a hob. Was today in the free workshop to ask if that is normal, they say yes! Allegedly with new brakes is always a slight grinding to hear because the coverings are very tight… and the discs can become up to 300 degrees hot according to the mechanic, which is also quite normal. Only when the disc starts blue or turns colour something would not be right. Is that really so?

  • Accident on the motorway

    Hi, had an accident yesterday on the highway and that carried itself as follows. I drive with approx. 160 km/h on the left lane (was just overtaking).
