Since I am concerned with the decision about a new Phaeton, the question arises because of an attractive dealer offer: long or normal. I have already read about the legendary better driving comfort here. But I am self-driver, therefore my question about this everyday problem: How about the long one? Problems in the parking garage, does he look in parking bays in the rear disturbingly far out etc.? From my experience it is often difficult to find a parking space already with the “normal” version. Of the partly narrow Frankfurt parking garages quite not to mention. And here I do not mean the actual parking width which demands partly snake-like dislocations, but the partly only limited existing turning circles, etc. So, the 12 cm – felt from the driver’s seat – actually make much of it? Never driven a long version, therefore my perhaps somewhat naive question. Thank you for your answers.

Hello everybody, I have a very strange mistake in the Navi since this morning: The marking arrow shows the last position of the vehicle from yesterday afternoon although I am about 40km away in another place. the new route is calculated from the position of yesterday afternoon and the system constantly tries to bring me to the open view miscalculated distance there is no update of the location. In other words: the Navi is of the opinion I am somewhere else and the map does not change, only the friendly lady in the background constantly reports: Recalculation of the route Does anyone know the problem?????

Phaeton W12 on -> 6 cylinders?
Hi, is there the possibility to upgrade a W12 relatively cost-effectively so that I can castrate the W12 to 6 cylinders in urban traffic? Currently I also think about a gas system. Does someone have experience with the 12-er 2008 and gas? (Have read a lot already but it’s best for me to learn from first hand) (costs with car-becker?)

Can’t decide
Moin, I got my 18″ medusa rims back from the sandblasting, did the fine work before, and now I’m standing there… I just can’t decide in what color I should paint the rims! Black I find also quite nice, but then my cart is up to the outside mirror COMPLETE black, looks kind of boring also I think. Otherwise I still had chrome in mind, but don’t know if that might be too crass already.. Normal aluminium silver is never wrong – but has just everyone… just feel like a woman in the shoe shop Do you have maybe n pair of ideas, or maybe even pictures of your or other painted cars where you can look at something? Cooler fan always runs “on” with air conditioning. Normal???
Hello! I would like to gather experiences about the Volvo V50 2.0 D. Here’s my current question: Is it normal for the Volvo V50 2.0 D to have the cooler fan immediately running at the current low temperatures around 10 degrees when the engine starts cold in the morning and the air conditioning is switched on? If the air conditioning is not working, the cooler fan will stop. I would be interested to know if this is also the case with you. Or whether the cooler fan will switch on later at engine operating temperature or only under certain driving conditions such as full speed on the highway. I ask this because the fan on my car is absolutely always turning as soon as I switch on the air conditioning. Even if it is cold outside and the cooling water is still cold. Even when driving quietly over land road at 100 speed in the highest gear, the cooler fan is spinning despite (my opinion) sufficient cooling by driving wind. Does anyone know the problem? Is this a problem? If someone had the problem, what was repaired on the vehicle?

Tyre noise (saw tooth effect) at V50
According to my tyre dealer, I have a sawtooth effect on Continental Premium Contact 5 (205/55/R16) summer tires. Have these now mounted the second summer and now the noises. We have changed the tires from the rear to the front, the noises have been slightly lower, are still present. Had the same already with Goodyear Optigrip 91. I thought that with the new summer tires I am rid of the problem. With winter tires (same size) the noise does not occur. Can it possibly also lie at the wheel bearings? If someone has an idea / answer, I would be grateful. These sounds are annoying already… Or is it generally on the vehicle?

BMW Leasing Refund – Resolve defects or not?
Hello, my current lease of a m135i will soon run out. The car has been driven down almost 60,000km and was returned 36 months. The fact that the vehicle is returned freshly cleaned is beyond question. I am unsure about the rest: – Both front rims each have a scratch off the curb. The rims are not glossy-turned, but fully painted. With the paintr, the reperature would cost about 140 euros per rim. I have now read that BMW has not accepted repaired rims. Do you have any experience here? – At the rear apron on the trunk there are 2 about 4-5cm long scratches of loading and unloading. With the paintr, this would cost me about 500 euros. It would have to be painted according to it. Would you have the whole component painted here before? Otherwise, the vehicle is class there – always hand wash and sealed. I am currently standing something between the chairs. I would like to have better my damages caused by me. However, it would be annoying if BMW the rims and the tail apron moaned despite improvement and the reparature does not accept.

Hello, my first lease is approaching the end and I wonder what could come out of the final invoice. As a vehicle I have an ID.3 which I leased for 3 years with 25,000 km annually at VWFS. Thanks to COVID, however, the professional situation has changed to a pure home office activity, so that I will return the car with a total of only about 24,000 km. The regulation regarding the reimbursement of minor kilometers is clear to me. What I ask myself, however, is how the car now performs in the report on the lease end. I have 2-3 small spot repair-capable defects, but the car will be more value than expected, because it goes back with 24 instead of 75,000 km. Could it be calculated despite 1-2 “mapping tracks” at all? Does anyone have any experience?

Tack, Tack and my trouble sends greetings
Hello dear Volvo friends, it’s enough for me now! Now I have only 3,700 km on the speedometer and come for the 4th time not from the spot!!! I was 3 times in the workshop because of the well-known “tack” problem when starting. Starters have been changed, cables have been checked, electronics checked. And now I’m standing again and I don’t get the engine to run!!! In my opinion this is pretty slowly unacceptable, I’ve been about all 3 weeks in the factory and the problem comes up again and again. a car is still there to drive, or am I wrong?! I don’t want to say here that the S40 is a bad car, by no means, but MEIN S40 has clearly serious problems! Does jmd have an idea what I could have left of my still changing so that I can finally start my car without worry in the early morning and can also make a quiet trip abroad? lg dominik
