  • Coupling does not sporadically separate

    Hello together, yesterday my friend wanted to leave and it was already the first gear difficult to go in but ok I thought it is normal that when the car was standing that doesn’t fluff.. After a short time (3 min) the gears could only be inserted with extreme power and a switching was almost impossible. The reverse gear also literally crashed in. Even during the driving the gears could only be changed by force. From this I conclude that the clutch does not separate cleanly. Today we wanted to go to the workshop and I get into the car (not moved since the defect ) and it is as if nothing had been. Car runs almost perfectly from the switch… This scenario repeats itself for a long time now and comes out of the blue. The only thing “helps” is when you turn off the engine and all the gears times with and without the hit clutch switched through and then starts completely normal. In 80% of the cases then everything works again. What can this be???! If the back bearing or the clutch itself were over then this would have to be the case or not?! By the way, the clutch is operated over a rope hoist, is an old car greeting and thank you!

  • Have very big problems with gearbox 5 gear FLSTC

    Hello first of all, I am at the end with my Latin. I have made a revision with my 5 gear transmission in winter all bearings renewed new switching roller, new switching fork, new switching fork shaft! Also the switching machine has been renewed all fields new and everything set 3 gear and measured after 2 & 4. So that’s what I have done everything for you for information. When I stand at the traffic light from Neutral to the 1 gear switch listens sometimes quietly what is doing but when driving down comes It’s not always like the gang is coming out, the first problem. The 2 problem is when I switch down from 4 to 3, either I have one idle or I can’t turn down it crashes so that you get stomach pain, I turn it up again I’m immediately in 5 gear.   • Test brake fluid ster for correct function?

    Hello, have from the estate of someone a brake fluid stester. If I hold it in my brake fluid tank and in my girlfriend it shows 1 %.. If I hold it under the faucet full 4%. The results are good, but can I check somehow if it actually works properly? Or is the technology so simple that there is no possibility of distortion?   • Motorcycle for work & short tours wanted

    Hi together, I wasn’t active in the biker forum so far, but that could change in the future. Although I’m not a beginner, I had the motorcyclist hanged to the nail ~6 years ago. And to get to the point, I am currently looking for a motorcycle with which I want to drive mainly to work, because the parking situation here for cars has become simply untenable with regard to fees/residents parking/etc. and we recently also with a car not meh r can put on the company premises. Now only the question is which motorcycle I take best for this purpose, I simply lack the real market overview. I already thought of the usual suspects like GS500E, Bandit 600, SV650 & Co. (-must not be Suzuki), but I am simply no longer in the topic and certainly other alternative or even good insider tips. I am also not fixed on a type or brand, whether road, tourer, or sport… Allerd I don’t want 125s and no scooter. It should be a proper motorcycle, but it is still moderate in maintenance. Personally, I’m rather focused on the sporty sector, but this is not supposed to be a requirement in this case and falls only under “must not, but would be nice”. In addition to the work, I might also do a smaller tour once in a while. Price-wise, I thought of a frame up to a maximum of 2,500 euros. anyone a few ideas too?

  • Old sportsters are left behind due to fuel loss

    Moin together, I have an XLH 1200 XL 1, i.e. a Sportster XL 1200 C from the year March 2001. Verbated is an HD carburettor 08TA E016, 27076-95. It is an open air filter installed, the flap-nauspuff is in position “open” actually almost open. The standard low pressure petrol tap is replaced with a standard petrol tap, the unnecessary vacuum connection is closed, the tank is clean, the petrol sieve is permeable and clean, the petrol flow is at the withdrawn B enzin hose in “ON” and “Reserve” tested and flawless.The ventilation hole in the tank lid is free. The sportster starts with choke, has some misfires until it is warm. Then it runs between 20 and 40 km perfectly and then stops after some misfires. After about 30-60 min it starts again and then runs the next 20-40 km, where the game starts at the front. The misfires shortly before stopping indicate for me that it does not war with fuel. T. Guys, I’ve been screwing since 1980, I know if such an engine has a spark, fuel and air, then it’s running, maybe it’s running like a sack of potatoes, because it’s poorly set, but it’s running.Why is this thing running perfectly for 40 km and then suddenly no more fuel???I’m curious if someone comes up with something.     Hello together, I have a problem with my scooter – Piaggio Vespa ET2 50ccm From a certain speed it starts to squeak quite loudly (see audio) and once it has started, then it doesn’t stop until the engine is off.   • K&N air filter

    Hello together. I drive a Mercedes W205 Cabrio C200 bj 9/ 2018. During the last inspection, the air filter was not changed, probably because the vehicle has only 17tkm. With all my vehicles, i.e. the BMW K1200S and my previous car, I have or had a BMW E36 316I COUPE installed a K&N sport air filter. Because I put on a clean air filter great value, I play with the idea of the original air filter on my new-quality Benz against a K&N S Why do I want to build a sports air filter, and not a paper filter? I have to drive this car in the long term, and I promise myself that the K&N sports air filter does not have sound or performance, but rather that it is the economy in the foreground for me. The K&N is cleaned in between, or one blows it out, cleans and oils it, and then it pays off. After three to four MANN original filter, the more expensive K&N sports air filter has paid off with my previous BMW E36 I saved money in the 200tkm and 20 years in which the K&N was installed. Does something speak of a new Mercedes against the K&N sports air filter, except that one endangers its manufacturer’s graffiti?
