Hello, I bought a MX5 used with 180tkm. In the short test drive where I did at that time everything was ok. Now it’s so that when I drive about half an hour or so the engine starts to clap, as if there was too little oil in it or anything else. I have no explanation for this already googled, and only defective valves and bearing damage found. But if I had one of them, the condition would have to be permanent or not? Unfortunately I caught a model (according to the vehicle Ident-Nr) which is susceptible to bad valves. Currently I drive little with the car, I want to know first what this is before I possibly break more? Can I find out anything as a layman? What still strikes me, the tires all 4 drive off strongly on the inside, it is a coiled suspension inside, the rear tires also look almost as if they were not straight but slightly inclined to the outside.. Should I pump in more air? Can I adjust what? Another thing… There are tires on it that I don’t find in the vehicle license, but according to the seller everything would be registered. So it’s probably up to 225, but there are 215 on it. I still have 2 years TÜV but I don’t want to drive around with things that I may not be allowed to have.

Brake
I have now renewed the brakes out of boredom at my nb back. Discs incl. receipts. Now I drove some in. But somehow my left brake caliper is stuck in the back. Have set the adjusting screw again so that the hand brake is loose. But after a few km the saddle starts to clamp again. Felge gets warm/hot and you smell it. What can be broken now?

I would like to tickle out a little more power from my Z18XE 1.8 with 90KW/ 122PS soon. There is a turbo conversion or a Dbilas suction tube with filter box, camshafts and electronics adaptation. The turbo conversion at Dbilas falls flat, because simply far too expensive. Who has already done tuning – experience with this engine? How much hp are in the turbo conversion? But the most important thing is also that the engine takes part for a long time. Do you remember the Dbilas tuning at all? What does everything have to be changed?
