Hello, I’m new to the group and probably this topic has already been discussed, but unfortunately I didn’t find anything about it. I would like to have the 450d registered with the original AMG cross spoke rims in 22 inches, there is a part report or other help for this. Mercedes apparently does not want the wheel/tire combination to be driven on the ‘smaller’ models, although technically on the axles is all the same. I have the AMG package with the wider n Radhäuser already ex works. Thanks in advance for a message, or the link to a helpful chat. Greetings Frank

Luggage compartment Organizer
Dear car community, I am looking for a useful organizer for my G-Class (built in 2024) for the trunk. Unfortunately, despite a long search, I did not find anything. There are useful organizers for older series, but not for the series from 2024 (W465), which is also because the proportions of the trunk in the 2024 model have changed considerably. I would be very happy about ideas 🙂

Use Locks & Lowering
Hello together, let’s ask you a question, in which situations do you use your lock and/or the reduction? Can you use the lock only in the “Lowe Range” operation? Thank you for your answers, I’m curious. Greetings.

Tank flap unlocking – such a Murks
I have been mutating to the moon rider since the beginning of October and today what I feared at the first tank stop has arrived. I pull the lever for the tank flap unlocking and pling – hooked up or torn down Notentlockung??? Missing – that’s probably Murks. Do you have experiences where he usually leaves or do I have to trust in the workshop. I hope the used car guarantee covers this, otherwise I have to do it myself.

Problems with the 2nd course in cold gears
Hello together, the topic with the hard to switch 2nd course in cold gear has been raised here in the forum many times. I have now received the following, for me new information from my WS. This had been asked directly at Ford because of the problem and Ford is now ready to exchange the transmission oil for a higher quality oil free of charge. This should be able to solve the problem. Does anyone have any experience there?

sorry- Mondeo TDCI – finally gone
Somehow I was sorry. I did a Mondeo Kombi TDCI with Ghia 2.5 years ago – buy reason, because a lot of car for little money. Basically everything OK, but constant trouble with the nozzles, 2 times adjusted, nevertheless corrosive engine jerking especially at speed 100 – haha, that one drives in D unfortunately more often. The climate automatic – a joke? Does the part really only know cold and warm? The same applies to the seat heating. Otherwise – problems with the brake caliper at the rear left – once a year new white l stuck. That was actually with the negative – the car also has its good: the built-in Becker-Navi – great! Space offer – perfect travel suitability – also perfect, if no engine rucksacks Nevertheless: I changed it 3 weeks ago for a Volvo V70 D5 – a little less space, but in comparison it has certainly been worth it. Too bad – would have liked to stay with Ford (although – I am not ?) – but from a car beyond the 30 kilo Euro I expect a little more. And now Let’s stone me!

Diplomat project
In 1985 my V8 was scrapped with all conceivable extras by an unindebted accident. After decades of abstinence, I acquired a Diplomat 2.8 E from 1977. 1 year TÜV, H-mark, stainless, inside like a 5 year old car from 2nd hand. The aim is to upgrade the car without changing the original condition. At least the condition should be recreable. So no further holes should be drilled and the like. retrofit it, upgrade the level, upgrade the mirror to the right, install the AHK, install the ZV if necessary, add-on instruments. Sliding roof is not available. It is also planned to replace the seats, currently good blue velour seats, with others.Perhaps individual seats in the back. The original seats must be mountable again. Who has experience with such works? Here some pictures of the current condition. The car is also suitable for everyday use. Has survived over 800 KM at a time.

Noise/control chain
Hello, I’m thinking about having the control chain replaced in a preventative way. My 9ooo CS (MJ 1992, 143 kw, switch) now has 188.00 km on the clock. The seller could not say anything about the history. Was with the price but also ok… Oil change has been made anyway in the summer. The car is very well maintained and has no rust (garage car?). So I can hope that oil change has been made regularly. (Turbo pulls wonderful, the initial problem with TCS was quickly fixed…) I w It’s hard to describe: but how does the engine sound if the control chain wants to be changed? I would describe the somewhat noticeable noise in idle mode as slightly nailing (after the cold start there are first nice speed fluctuations to the top, which then settle down to just under 1oo u/min). After reading this thread, I still didn’t realize what it would cost: 3oo Euro would be ok, 2.5oo definitely not. In Berlin I would use this as a tool. either to Pink. or to Bischoff. If someone else has a tip here, like per pn. And another small question: since the temperature indicator was never middle, I replaced the thermostat with a new one. The problem remains: even after a longer drive, the pointer remains stuck in the lower third and goes only briefly towards the middle. However, the consumption seems to be ok 12.3 liters according to BC after partly fast highway and short city traffic in winter. Many, thank you already! R.
