  • Keep 1 year old (new) tyres?

Hello, after my dealer on site over 2 years old (DOT 0810) wanted to turn on old Bridgestone Turanza ER 300, I ordered it on the internet and got it today. These have DOT 1911. Speaks about 1 year old. I don’t seem to be followed by luck. My question. Would you keep or send back tyres of this age? My biggest worry is hardening rubber. Loud tires after 2 years of driving I don’t necessarily want to have. Thank you in advance.

  • 18 years old summer tyres

I’ve been riding 18 years old summer tires since the last week. I’ve been looking at the profile of the tires since autumn and I’ve only looked at the profile of the tires at that time. It was okay. Now my workshop has pulled the tires on it. The mechanics came grinningly towards me and congratulated me on being of age. I didn’t know what they meant until they told me that the tires were 18 years old. They still pulled them on because the master me inte, they are fine: no cracks, good profile – just hardened. Well, now I drive the things. So far I have not noticed anything big, but it is already a murky feeling, when I know that the things are half as old as I am. On the highway I have also driven several times over 200. I only now through research realized that such old tires are not as safe as the master told me. Are there any clues that I should note if ic h driving with such tires? Will they still drive for at least a month before I will get new ones. I have my son with me every now and then and I don’t want any risks. If Master had told me this earlier, I would have ordered some of them, of course, but he just pulled them on and only then told me the age.

  • Tourneo Custom heater

Hello together, maybe one of you knows a link to a reasonable description of the preheater installed from the factory? I somehow can’t do that. Especially when manual “start now”. There is always only the message “additional heating in operation” in the display, but no warm air is blown into the interior. Unfortunately, the manual doesn’t give much on this topic… Greeting rorrb

  • Configuration questions about the Tourneo Custom

Hi, I very probably wanted to order a new Tourneo Custom soon. However, I have a few small questions, which I did not really get answered in the brochure and also by the FFH. Actually I am ever a technique nerd, have unfortunately been strengthened with previous vehicles (not Ford) in my opinion, that the technology usually does not work as you thought it would. Workshops are overburdened with simple errors, even in the warranty period you do not want to Some functions that Ford now offers in this class have been in use for some time. Reviews without advertising statements can hardly be found. Therefore I wanted to put some of my configuration to the discussion. – We decided for a Titanium L2H1 in RaceRot. The long version because there is a little more space available and you can certainly sleep well even with the folded front row of seats behind if it is necessary. Red, because the color of I had to buy a Citroen Jumpy with automatic. The old model didn’t exist at the intended time, I don’t find the new model so successful, even if I like it. – Towing coupling A coupling can never be wrong. Unfortunately ́can the automatic version pull only 1200kg, why nobody knows. – Seat configuratiuon 35 : electric seats and partial leather Does this configuration make sense? Or is there an optimal one? 2-3-3 should this also include. In addition, a question: the seats are modularly expandable. Is it also possible to extend the 2 he seat so that the single seat remains to the right? This configuration is not defined in the brochure. I read here that the electric seats tend to flap and wobble. Since there is no memory function anyway, one is perhaps with mechanical seats better operated? – Side panes 2nd row: Hard I don’t think these mini folding windows bring much, at PSA there was heaped water. I also think that the car is easier to open through these windows? Are there any known problems? – Tyres / rims: Series 16″ Alu. I think that’s enough and offers more driving comfort like the 17″ models? How does the spare wheel make sense to the tyre flip set today? A spare wheel is available as standard. -Electric: 2 x 80Ah battery and 240A alternator In the brochure of the 240A alternator, there is an “-” for the Titanium; it is optional for the trend. Doesn’t this fit the engine in the Titanium, or is this standard? Is the dual battery system currently in production? Otherwise I will order it in any case. I assume that the start battery and peripherals are fed by separate batteries and the 2nd is charged or bripped while driving? This is particularly interesting with a stationary heater. -Ra finder Package with cigarette lighter: we are non-smokers, but does this equipment provide a 12V socket more? Where is the ashtray (mini trash can)? – 230V socket: I think it makes sense to have a 230V connection. There are many devices like laptop etc. Today this can’t be wrong? Or? – Stand-up heating: I had a 1st battery.System in Citroen C5. There unfortunately unusable, because after frosty night the battery was sucked so empty several times But the option includes a 2nd battery, so the system should work. What heating should they install? A Webasto? What kind of “remote control” do they have? Wireless or indoor timer? Is this part worth it? -View Package 3 with AudioPackage 40 . So the full system with all the games that Ford offers. BUT: Does it make sense? Does this Navi System do anything? After all, only a 5″ monitor is on the machine, which is still on the big vehicle. The brochure says that the rear camera is displayed in the Navi display, but it should be in the mirror, shouldn’t it? Can someone say something exact about the Navi system? Can you keep the maps up-to-date? Operating system? Are flashes databases available? Should one want to switch to a 2 DIN device, which convenience functions run via the “RadioModule”? Or can one “simple” install a 2Din device without the internal systems Is the 5″ monitor only used by the “Radio/Navi” system and for the internal systems the displays in the tacho area? I think I certainly forgot 100 questions, but for now it should be enough. I know it’s a lot of text, but I hope some of you can give me tips so that I don’t order anything wrong. I also got an offer from the local dealer. I say? laughable? Is the purchase price really so extremely high that a medium-sized dealer with about 5 branches can not make a “marketable” price? If you are looking for the model, for example, mobile.de, you rarely get over 37,000 Euro(gross) even with fully equipped models. Separate dealers sell however older vehicles for 45,000 Euro (partly used)… The offer of my dealer was in this area, he thought he could not give higher discounts! I would like to buy locally, but the competition is very large. If I lease the vehicle e.g. (private) I pay almost 250 euros (gross) per month at 10% down payment, in total ích lie at 38,000 euros if I should buy the car later as a total price. Sincerely Andreas

  • Replacement motor for transit 2,5D ’94

Hello together, I recently got a motorhome on Ford Transit basis with 2.5D engine with 74KW from 1994. When buying (from private) I was told a consumption of 10-11 liters, but after our Sweden vacation the astonishment was great. The cut-through at about 4000 km was 16 L / 100 km! Since the Womo also has no environmental badge and also does not get got me the idea that maybe a newer engine could solve the problems consumption and plaque. Therefore I would like to ask you if it grun In addition, it is possible to install a newer date engine with better consumption values in transit ’94? Thank you very much and best regards Tom

  • Toruneo Custom Radio antenna still necessary?

Moin out there, I’ve been standing my Tourneo Custom on the yard for a week (Yeah!). It’s a Titanium in white. One of the first actions was first thoroughly crawling through the car and looking at it. I found out that the second row of seats has loudspeakers in the ceiling, of which I didn’t read anything before and also in the demonstration bells and the used ones at the dealer was just heaven. OK, the things aren’t there and see also et I have to say that I only have the radio 5 (the standard CD radio with DAB added) in the background. In the third row there seems to be an additional, separate tweeter. Or were they always there? Then I noticed that I probably have the steamed-up antennas in the rear side windows (I thought it was a disc heater first and wondered about the stupid placement and design). I have to say that I only have the radio 5 (the standard CD radio with DAB added). his ominous copper tracks on the glass, I have unscrewed the antenna on the roof and drive for days only with the empty antenna foot on the roof. As for the reception I could not find any problems. I wonder if this antenna is wired at all and why they grow then at all (just to seal the hole?). If so, this might be quite an improvement of the antenna problem in connection with underground garages. And the additional Loudspeakers should also be more harmful to the sound in the car (but I’m not really so audiophile-oriented) Greeting Thomas

  • Determine engine temperature at speed?

Hello Community, I would like to ask a question about my Seat Ibizas. Just now in the still cold season, my speed automatically turns to approx. 1200 revolutions in idle after the start. This is also quite normal. If I drive longer, the speed decreases to 1000 revolutions in idle and after even longer driving to 800 revolutions, which is then the normal speed. I guess very strongly, that the speed is initially increased to warm up the engine faster or. In order to bring the circuit to temperature quickly, so that it gets warm quickly in the car ^^. Please correct me if I am wrong. I honestly don’t think that this happens to provide more energy for the consumers. Since I am now someone who likes to warm his car before I use higher speeds, I wanted to know if at the idling change you can somehow read whether the engine or the engine oil is warm. So this if these 800 revolutions If someone knows the technical term for this speed change, that would be good to know. Unfortunately, I don’t have a cooling water temperature indicator, nor a motor oil temperature indicator. My car is a Seat Ibiza 1.6 TDI BJ. 2015. But is I think the 2011 model, just with Facelift. PS: Does anyone know how much power an alternator provides in idle? Because the speed does not change at all, even if all consumers are employed. Ode r is actually enough for the normal idle speed?
