Hi, was today short at the “Import Fever 2007” meeting in Ffm/Höchst – get me something to drink and I don’t think I see right – are a few guys from some newspapers with some model or Miss wild at the photograph – look yourself – have taken the STi rather than the EVO as a motive … LG, harald-hans Oh yes, if you’re interested there are of course even more pictures that I then inevitably have to make …

Maintenance costs Vergeleich EP3 – FN2
Hello Together, I’m new here in the forum and find the extensive discussions in this forum very interesting, especially the TypeR division. I’m playing with the thought to add the FN2 and am interested in the insurance classifications of the FN2. Have found here so far no direct information. Only some allusions that the FN2 is more expensive than the EP3. I am insured with the Garanta and pay currently 109€/month for my EP2. Have made a calculation for the FN2 on the website of the Garanta times and have surprisingly come to a value of around 112€. In the calculation for the EP3 the contribution would be around 149€. All calculations refer to identical data (e.g. SFK H SF6/ VK SF6; SB VK500/TK without; 12000km/year; single driver etc.) That would mean that the EP3 would be almost 40€ more expensive. I know that these calculations are not representative but I would be happy if some FN2 drivers could confirm this in some way.

Experiences and alternatives to current type R
Hello together, I hope this is the right place for the topic, otherwise I would like to put a mod all in the right place….. I’m looking for a new vehicle. Sporty it should be…. so far I’m the 3 MPS test risk and the type R. I somehow fell in love with the Honda,… but I also want to have other test drives before I make a final decision. There are still test drives planned with a Focus ST and a Corolla (but I don’t know the exact model name). Are there any other alternatives in the price group? Furthermore, I would be interested in experiences with the Type R, how does it look like in terms of quality? Has anyone here already had negative or positive experiences?

Valve cover seal
Now I have the first question at the front of the plug for the camshaft sensor is a hole where I think it’s for a screw for the head. There’s really something about the oil / coal, however. Should I get that out of there with a screwdriver or rather soak it somehow? Can I clean the edges and so on with brake cleaners reasonably or is it enough if it was cleaned with the cloth?? And if you start to look from the front, the spark plugs are really dirty to the rear… As the rearmost is completely dirty and there was also the most oil around. How can I clean the shaft where the one comes in. Are you afraid that this won’t get close. Can you also use brake cleaners there???

Smart 451 Passion Cabrio price estimate requested
Hello Smartaner , We are looking for a replacement for the old 450. We loved it in his ten years, because the engine has now said goodbye -> he comes away. Driving profile: 12,000 km/year 70% rural road 15% City 15% AB Important for us: Pulse/ Passion equipment, sofa touch, maximum 2nd hand, SH booklet, mileage <80.000 km, BJ >2010, NR convertible, climate, <600€ Following Smart Cabrio PASSION mhd 71PS 53.500 km EZ 3/2011 Softtouch I just ended. What do you think of the car in particular from the price? Seat heating would be a nice gimmick . The budget could be increased to 700€ if there is much more offered for it (larger engine, SH). Freue me over a couple of guard-clockers since I just have the Rosa glasses on. VG Hannes

Smart ForTwo 2007 engine knocks
Good day together, I’m thinking of buying a Smart ForTwo (no MHD) with 71 hp and 129,000 km. Today I drove a great smart sample, only the engine sounded a bit strange and knocked. Since I’m not a smart expert, but at the same time I know that the 3 cylinders in the Smart can sound rough, I would be happy if a connoisseur could watch the video in the attachment and tell me an assessment. Also I would like to know if the 129,000 km (permeable checkbook) are easily contractable for the small engine. Because find little Smart Petrol with over 150,000 km at mobile.de Many thanks for the valuable support. Marius

Thermostat change at the CDI ! Many questions and later illustrated instructions
Hi ́ Be careful to change the thermostat with my CDI because even at +8 degrees I have to drive the car continuously over 120 km/h to briefly see the 3 egg in the display I hardly drive slower already it disappears again. And with stationary gas I need more than 10 minutes for the first egg so the thermostat must probably be broken…. But I have to ask a couple more 1. With the English instruction www.evilution.co.uk/650 Do I not really get clear?!!!!?! That’s not the complete sink but only a slight tilt of the engine OR ? 2. And I really need to do nothing besides to expand the cross struts to support the engine and solve the other two screws ? 3. And then the car lifter by max. 8 cm sinks ? 4. Does not this break any bearings or mounts? To the expansion of the thermostat I found this instruction seems to be going on next thanks-forum.de/modules.php? 5. And an important question I would have to buy something for a coolant I do not have to do it again for tomorrow?

Which tyres and rims did you raise in winter? (w220)
Hello zs, the temperatures are falling and now the question arises which rims and tyres I should put on. This will be my first winter with the S class. What do you think of 18″ rims? Which rims do you drive around in winter? Perhaps you also have some photos of your cars? Which tires can you recommend? Greeting Michael

Sprinter, power loss – problem throttle valve
Hello, we have the problem with our Sprinter, that it comes irregularly and not reproducibly to a strong power loss, whereby the engine control light goes on. Only by repeatedly restarting the engine, the vehicle can be driven rationally again. The car was already several times in the Mercedes specialist workshop, where the error memory was read out (error throttle flap), and then several times! throttle flap, a sensor and the engine control unit were replaced. I have no idea of cars, but suspect that a cable break could be present here. A new wire harness would probably not be more economical, so I would like to measure the cables. Can someone help me with a schematic, or tell me which plug with pin placement (motor control unit?) the throttle flap is connected to?

This is what a CTR looks like when a truck looks into the side window
Hi there! Yesterday I had to bring a part of the asphalt mixing plant to my own workshop! I worked in a underground and road construction company, with own trucks ́s. Yesterday evening around 17:30 clock I had to bring a part of the asphalt mixing plant into my own workshop and drove with my CTR “down” in front of the workshop. Next to me a truck four-axle (12to) parked. I still talked to the driver briefly so he knew that I was standing next to him. I go in to the workshop master and suddenly there is a huge noise from outside, well you think: Has certainly nothing to do with me. When I got out of the workshop I saw the dilemma! The truck wanted to park forward and pushed my CTR straight away!!! The complete driver side is on the ass!!! Dachholm, door, thresholder, rim + tires. Shit I thought… that was not possible. Well then the insurance fuzzie came up from our company today, took pictures and then I snuck right to our local Honda dealer (fortually only 500m away). I can’t do all this time the accident.
