  • Saab 9-3 Cabrio SE suspension

    Hello dear Saab friends, for 14 days now I am proud owner of a Saab 9-3 convertible 2.0 turbo SE EZ 12/2001. The dream of my youth and with approx. 99 Tkm driving performance. TÜV etc. everything new. The car is in a great condition. My only wormwood drop is the driving behavior. It is simply too spongey for me. Who has experience or can give me tips – I want to reach a road position via an exchange of springs or even springs and shock absorbers, which is (at least still) comfortable but also tight.

  • S-Class Meeting 2014 Review

    Hello dear forum colleagues, now we have already the year 2014, by wanting to spend a nice weekend together again. A few days ago I was asked: “Would you still organize a meeting?”, wrote. My answer was: “Yes, if the time of the meeting is allowed and the users are for it, yes, so I would like to pass on the question to all of you. Last year it became a problem, the locations were chosen, but no one wanted to take over the organization. If I would organize a new meeting, of course only the room around Kassel (Edersee, Fritzlar, Kassel, Hofgeismar, Hahn Münden) would be in question.   • Automatic gearboxes

    Moin together, I counted last time, how often my automatic slide switches and came on five times. Until then I thought I had a 4-speed automatic. Is it possible that it is a 5-speed automatic or switches the transmission somehow still an intermediate gear ?? Also I noticed that with cold engine the transmission takes a very long time to switch (at about 4 thousand revolutions). Once it has switched, it works again normal. Besides, it turns things off before all on gradients somewhat uncultivated. Does an ATF change something ?? what do you have for experiences ?   • need new brake discs and shock absorbers

    hi, I’ve been looking for new brake discs and shock absorbers (front and rear axles) for a long time now I’d like to get the parts and install them in the following weeks. to the brakes: I don’t need anything special, they’re not supposed to be too expensive. I found this one here: click I can install them without hesitation, or is it advisable? I think the price is ok. for the HA I found the suitable ATE discs on the other side also for 90,-. to the shock absorbers: here it also has to be nothing special.     Moin Moin! I have now heard from two different Senator drivers that their vehicles are running more than 270 according to Tache. It was even claimed that this would be with 3 people and full suitcases and still is not the end of the acceleration. Well, since I can’t believe that now, I would be interested in your opinion. According to Opel, the AT 24V 235km/h runs. Can it be that the speedometer is so inaccurate? The vehicles were respectively 3.0 24V engines with automatic transmission and standard tyres.   • Test drive?

    Hi, I asked today for a Prius test drive. Anyway, was there to pick up my car. The gentleman from the workshop acceptance was still very open, that would of course not be a problem, and pointed me out to the sellers. Since one was asked already no more readily. It seemed to me at least as if the thing with the handing out of the business card should be done. Test drives are possible, but only after appointment agreement, which is clear. I should call again, then one would be able to look after an appointment. But why I should call again and the appointment was not made the same, no idea. The PC was on. Anyway, my impression is the one I expected. Under 20 and with student budget one has lost nothing in a car house. If I now stay on it, call and push for an appointment, I would probably also get it. That I think already big buying interests would have occurred to me already. That the seller only after a memorial customer answered to the question of the test drive, I would not be able to write anything else, but I would not be able to do anything else.

  • Clio III 1.5dCi – error message

    Hello, I have been driving a new Clio 1.5dCi FAP with 86 HP since 16.05.07. So about a week after handover I got the error message “Einpritz versuchen” in the display of the onboard computer. At the same time was also the light-emitting diode with the wrench on. A error reading in the workshop showed that probably the temperature sensor of the particle filter was to blame, which was then also changed. But that was probably not because after a few days of this exchange the same error occurred again. This time a fault diagnosis was sent to Renault, whose answer is still pending. Until now this error message has always occurred shortly after the start of the journey, so when the engine was still cold. I would now be interested in whether this error has occurred in advance with someone else, whose diagnosis has perhaps already been successfully completed. I do not want to paint the devil on the wall, but how does it look, if the workshop can not successfully fix this error, then I can ask for a completely new vehicle? How much improvements do I have to give to the workshop in advance for your help.

  • Audi Cabriolet crackling of electrics

    Hello is new here and you can get a question… I’m driving an Audi Cabrio B3 in 96. I’ve had a lot of problems lately that the electrics crackle really loudly. It’s not regular so I could always say when flashing or similar. It comes both with light and when the light is off. The only thing I’ve noticed so far is that it’s actually only when the engine is already warmer. at lower temperatures it hasn’t occurred to me yet. Since we live on a mountain we usually have to drive a piece of highway uphill, here it’s the strongest, sometimes really long. It crackles and cracks somewhere under the steering wheel. Can they somehow be related to the fan / thermo switch etc.? Does someone have an idea like I could check? I don’t see unfortunately on normal ride with 80kmh upwards whether the fan is going on at this crack moment or what else happens. Couldn’t that crackle as said also localize there while driving under the steering wheel?

    Hello guys, here for the hundredth time the topic US backlights!!! I don’t know if I’m too stupid or just don’t get the overview in the whole matter!!! I’ve already read several posts with here and in other forums and also seen everything possible already at Ebay. But I just don’t get a proper overview of all the US lights. From which manufacturer have been produced which lights, which fit where pure and above all which parts there were or there are with an e-test mark. I’ve already seen lights with and without e-test marks. Lights that are red on the back and others are white or grey. Mansche write there are some from Hella, others from SEIMA ITALIANA. Others have Hella on the right and left of SEIMA. Then there are some for the convertible, for the Limo and for the Avant. Where is the difference with the US, Switzerland and Japan lights. Who can make a reasonable listing here for what there has been and if possible still with Artukel numbers. Then you don’t get me wrong now, I don’t want to get a new discusion about it all that’s just what was taken over.
