Hello I bought an Escort GAL BJ 97 2 doorr ,the car is so still top ,but unfortunately go with both doors the window lifter does not ,the previous owner has installed at Ford for 250 ,- new switch but the problem has not been fixed ,can it be that both motors are kaput . I do not know if it is an MK4 has no anung in the light it is not in there have times the two nr. to 2.1 (0928) to 2.2( 824) If someone knows the problem and can help me further I say already ma I thank you in advance

MX5 keep a life long and drive as a vintage car
Have such a small dream. In the next one or two years I would like to add a new/almost new MX5 as a pure summer car, keep it up to the oldtimer and beyond. However, I have the fear that a new car can no longer become so old. For pure durability reasons it should become the big engine 😉 To an Asian manufacturer I would be most likely to build such a durable vehicle today. One would probably have to expect one or two replacement motors per decade (sorry I can’t stop now) What do you think about it?

Unfortunately he didn’t jump on at first and it was only a “crack” noise to hear when turning the key. This repeated a few times. However, when another start attempt was made, he suddenly jumped on and did not cause any problems on Saturday and Sunday. Now I wanted to also drive to work again today as usual and suddenly the problem came up again: “Klack” noise at the start. At first, however, the radio and the central locking system went as I turned the key, but this changed quickly, so that after some attempts at starting there was no electricity (no radio, no central locking etc.) I had only reinstalled the battery last summer, because the old battery was defective. So I can’t really imagine that the battery was installed again. Besides, you can’t hear the typical “empty battery noise” either.
