Profile design of sports tires—> which one has the most attractive styling ever?ß Hello, The profile design should certainly be decisively determined by the look..but nevertheless also a tire can have a visual touch or styling what likes or just displeases which one is your favorite tire in terms of optical appearance or design…is there or was there with you a classic that you have especially closed into the heart??? with me there are 2 candidates… the ”first” ( Ur) Pirelli P7 who was the first (real) wide tire furore but also influenced an entire generation of tires with his profile, but I find the current one rather failed. As well as the Dunlop SP 9000 which in my view best implemented the V-profiles… the current groove profiles as e.g. with the Conti Sport II I find on the other hand externally fad… mfg Andy

Why always Michelin or Conti?? Are there any good alternatives?
What do you think about so NoName tires? On the internet you find a lot of good things about it, but can it really be?http://ssl.delti.com/…/rshop.pl?… Bzw. asked the other way: I drive a 230 HP front-driver and need 225/40R18 tires. I just drive this car in everyday life. I don’t want to move to a race track and also not the car in the border area. But just “to drive”. If I look for the special forum now, I will only meet the freaks that you Aut And they certainly recommend Michelin and Conti etc. But does it really have to be a brand name? Can you also recommend other tyre manufacturers to me? Greet Peter.

Fine balancing with ABS and ESP not possible!?
Hi there, I want to have the wheels (on the vehicle) finely balanced with my Mercedes CLS C219. I have just been having vibrations / imbalance with different wheels and tires for a long time and I want to try this out now. I don’t want to go into the reasons at all. Anyway, it’s not so easy to find a workshop that does this at all. A Euromaster branch even told me that this is not possible for vehicles with ABS/ESP. Quote:… an El Ectronic fine balancing can no longer be carried out on today’s vehicles, since the wheels on the vehicle have to be driven individually, which can cause errors in the fault memory for ABS and possibly installed driving stability programs. Is this really true or is this just an excuse why this work does not offer? How much should fine balancing actually cost so that I have a benchmark? Greeting Tomekk S.

Multipurpose track….big puzzle??
Hello, on big federal roads are usually only furnished with one directional road, but there is often a so-called MULTIZECKSPUR available…..so can be overtaken without the oncoming traffic, unfortunately many do not seem to be able to use this track and drive stubbornly with Tacho 90 without using the width of the road, I for my part go to the right if someone wants to overtake and faster than I is….unfortunately there seems to be no allegmy how are your experiences about this?? Greetings Andy

Goodyear winter tyres
Hello, my winter car I got new Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance winter tires. They were mounted by my tyre dealer in the evening. In size 215/45/17 also not quite cheap. When I looked at the tires in daylight the next day, I noticed that they are covered all around (running area and flank) with about 1 cm long nipples. My dealer said that these were residue from the production, which would normally be removed. The company Goodyear addressed this question. thought it was technologically conditional and at least no shortage…. On the tread the nipples are probably running off, probably not on the flanks. Only the scissors remain…. I see something like this for the first time after 25 years of winter tires. Did I miss something or are Goodyear tires basically so badly processed?

Tires still rideable? Rim repair?
Hello, short story before I come to my questions and the pictures. We have a new car since July and we had at my dealer 16′ winter tires stored on steel rims. Since the 16′ steel rims no longer fit on the new car we agreed with the dealer that he would exchange us used 17′ aluminium rims with winter tires for our steel rims. Today then the winter tires were pulled on and one of them looked pretty broken. See pictures. My questions: 1. Dar f one even with such a broken tire still drive still, or is it safe for us? The dealer only said: “That’s okay.” We honestly don’t feel really comfortable with the thing. 2. What would the repair of this rim damage cost about, if the dealer doesn’t repair it by itself? Thanks already for your help.

Speed index H or V
Hello, after I have found nothing about the search: How is the current level of knowledge about winter suitability and mileage in contrast to tyres with H or V marking? Specifically Conti TS 850 P in 225/55-17 for 5 BMW F11. Thank you and greeting, Hans-Nils
