My new SL comes from Bavaria
After 5x SL I decided not to read more here in the forum and extensive test rides against the R232 and for the white/blue camp. Who thinks this is in the SL forum OT. For all those who love the R232 in a similar situation but have not yet decided, here my motivation for the M850i, or against the SL: A) The R232 is only available as an AMG variant. After a long back/back and many test rides he was too hard for me, respectively. mfortabel. Where the SL opens the spread towards 911, the 8-series is more like an S-Class convertible. Is more like mine. B) The 8-series has been on the market since 2019 and has its childhood diseases behind it. Mine is an LCI (“MoPf”-model of which I hope it will go on as unproblematic as I should have seen for 4 weeks now. No mucken of any kind. Drives easily and does what it should. C) Interior concept: BMW has buttons! Everything important can be operated via buttons. Many DANK!!! Most of it also via touchscreen. But I don’t. I touch the monitor almost never. Nevertheless, since the 2022er facelift you have a nice large monitor in the middle and everything looks tidy and modern. D) Actually belongs to C: So silly stories like touch slide in the steering wheel or retractable door handles one searches in the 8er God-sei-thanks in vain. Hopefully all this is only a mistake on the part of MB, which corrects in the next generation E) Price: If, then I would have decided for a SL55. In comparison, the M850i is not only visually more impressive (485cm outer length vs 470cm), but also 20k cheaper and m.E. better equipped. The pricing of the SL is overall a joke and by nothing to justify. It will prevent the broad success of the R232. My opinion. Simply because there are so good, cheaper alternatives that are better specialized. From the R232 than 4-cylinder (and its price) wi F) Practicality: Relayable and better usable rear seats (thanks to 12cm more wheelbase), larger boot volume and a really well-functioning app, with which many functions can be remotely operated. However, I don’t know how good the SL is at this last point. Thanks to the digital key, I don’t need to take any more keys with me if I have the phone with me. Works perfectly and is easy to set up. G) Design: The 8-piece is optically smooth. One might think of the current generation of BMW, what you want, but they still missed a classic kidney for the 8-man, which runs wide across the front, but does not come to the ugly beaver teeth, which BMW seems to have closed into the heart at the moment. The rest of the line is also a dream for me. The width and length, spread over stretched, classic proportions, are optically a poem. Don’t understand why many other BMWs are currently so powerful. H) Gimmick: Since the 2022er Facelift the 8er has a bright kidney. BMW calls this “Iconic Glow”. I initially dismissed it as meaningless gimmicks. But it looks damn awesome. BMW has taken over the top of Rolls Royce. Makes for a present at night. Maybe many don’t care, but I like that. So much on the subject. If there are things to complain about in the future, I will also write them in here to give an objective impression. W if someone wants to read a “professional” comparison: Here’s a report that I found quite exciting and which brings it to the point: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/…/…s-bmw-m850i-2023-twin-test-review

Hello all, would like to install the Aero II AMG (usually for W140) rims on the R129 SL 500, unfortunately neither I nor the Mercedes car dealership find the matching screws. Track plates are also on it, front 2×25, rear 2×30 Do you have a solution for or maybe even a part number? Thank you!

R230 SL 55 Japan Reimport without checkbook?
Hi, currently driving a C219 500 and would like to upgrade to a charged V8 Benz. E500 Coupé as Biturbo would be chic, but lately I’ve been in love with the R230. Loved as 55 AMG. About the weak points and possible costs I’ve already made myself smart I found a nice SL that looks perfect and a low mileage from BJ 2002, but the vehicle has no checkbook. In addition, it’s a Japan Reimport – Was in Germany If you would rather leave your fingers off the vehicle or if you could have a Mercedes print out a list for the workshop stays from the vehicle? The current owner has repaired a lot and has invoices for all the parts he has installed. The mileage was apparently checked by Mercedes. If someone had a chassis number, it would have been possible to have a chassis number. e can enter and check.

what do you give on mature tests?
moin together, what do you think about all the tire tests?I find it really surprising that there are always some other results coming out everywhere..bsp the good year eagle f1 gsd 3 that I want to get. at adac he is the test winner and at reifentest.com (this user test page) he is also top but at car motor sport he lands in 5th place because he would not be bad on wet brakes. i am faced with the decision whether – pirelli p zero nero – continuous sport contact 2 and the said eagle e. at the owner here in Rotterdam I get the eagle for 122 euro and the other 2 for 166 euro..so already a word (internet I rather did not want to order) but I get irritated that then with AMS so bad cut off.. for me is above all important that he is good at naesse. p.s. knows someone is a difference between good year eagle f1 gsd 3 and only good year eagle f1?

Partial inspection where else to do?
Good day to everyone, I am now on the verge of the 60,000km inspection and now the question arises in view of the prices at Audi if you can not make the basics like oil change spark plugs, pollen filters etc. where differently without the used car warranty then disappears.

SLK 200K or SLK 230K
Hello guys, I would like to (will) strike in the spring and buy a SLK. Actually I also wanted to consider the successor model, but the photos of the rear shown so far, let me agree with this project. Now to the current model: Supposedly the quality with the facelift should have become significantly better, can SLK owners agree with this statement? How big is the difference in driving performance between SLK 200K and SLK 230K? Is there still no automatic air conditioning system for the SLK? Or is it? I am very grateful for tips or suggestions.

Displayed and real speed
Hello! My CLK Cabrio 230 Compressor (Automatic) shows about 248km/h at full throttle, registered as Vmax at 227km/h. Is the speedometer display really so inaccurate or does the car actually drive a little faster than 227km/h?
