  • Always look first, then buy

Hello, I bought a used one yesterday, without looking at it properly (i.e. I looked at it already, but very quickly, without lifting etc.). I never really did, but was rather a spontaneous decision. This morning there were a few small “surprises” in the workshop: the car was probably painted from all sides and the tires are not registered for this vehicle. If not the end of the world (could get worse!), but it is annoying. Wa I’m surprised: was that on the part of sellers (privately) legally OK not to point out or to conceal it? Can one (and above all is worth it?) against it still something to do? Greeting

  • Audi or Bmw

Hello, I want to get a new car the next few days. Unfortunately, I can’t decide myself between the Audi A3 8VA 2.0 TDI and the BMW F20 120D. My budget is about 17-20k. I have looked at various tests and videos and tomorrow I’m going to the test drive. Wanted to hear your opinion on which car you would choose, with the available budget. I personally like the sportiness and the rear drive from the BMW. At the Audi I find the MMI The car itself should have run max. 70000km. Since I want to drive it for a few years. Do you still have any tips on what I have to pay attention to when running and so on? Greetings and thank you already!

  • General advice for those seeking advice

Because many threaders ask the same questions or the same requirements or don’t know certain basics or don’t call important information like the driving profile, I think a clear summary would be good. (I don’t think one reads the mega-flow text from here; no one links to it either) Do you want to supplement / correct the following? What I still lack is a simple way to check if a particular model of a certain If there are rough estimates, please explain the thoughts, then someone will be able to help you. 2. Please describe exactly, do not use spongy terms 3. 4. 5. (just the ones mentioned here very often; the list is of course not complete)

  • Automatic small wagons for short distances

Hello dear user, since my Nissan Micra K11, BJ 2000, 44 KW so slowly but surely gives up the mind, I want to replace it now. I was actually satisfied so far, i.e., I really loved it! For my concerns (city traffic) it was really perfect. But it is by…:-( Now I’m looking for something like this, only a little more bangs should be, so that I also get on the highway from the spot when I overtake. From and on I would like to get a few hundred KM at a time That was already a slight overload for my old man. At 120km/h it got unpleasantly loud. I don’t have to have that anymore. My budget is so 350€. I still drive mainly short distance, value on cheap consumption and automatic transmission. In the eye I have the successor of my Micra (with more PS). Also the Renault Clio. However, I was advised not to do that. Opel Corsa would be ok, but there’s no doubt…:// He should probably be in a car. I also like the Suzuki Alto and the Kia Pikanto. Unfortunately, there aren’t both so often and if in such stupid colors… wouldn’t be my main criterion now. What do you think? What’s the best choice here? And what should you pay attention to with the mentioned ones? Up to which year of construction and KM stand can you buy them to have at least 5 years of joy? Do you have any other ideas? How about Peugot 207?

  • Compact up to 10,000 €

Driving profile: – City 70%, highway 30% Since it will be my first own car, my driving profile is difficult to estimate. My place of work is flexible. Office, home office, with the customer – that can change from month to month. So it may be that the car is almost not moved at all a week, at other times daily for it 150 km. I think an allrounder would be good here. In no case a small car, golf class is sufficient. Routes like HH-Munich would be better anyway with the plane To me: – 26, male – business consultant in a small relaxed company – relaxed, experienced driver I have been passively reading here for a long time, but have not yet had any experience with the car purchase.Car and equipment: – petroler – so much train that I can safely overtake on the country road – low maintenance – low consumption – 4 doors – climate – ZV – parking aid back – reasonable seats, otherwise my back will hurt quickly – driving gear he at 130 km/h on the highway not too loud, would like to be able to entertain me I drive with the car sometimes also with the customer, so that it should be visually respectable. Nice, but not a must, would not be the cheapest hard plastic interior. Something like an Auris with automatic and hybrid would be something, but could be out of budget.Place: – Room Hamburg/LüneburgBudget: – 10,000 € Here I do myself hard. I have no idea how much more car I am at 6,000, 8.0 00 or 10,000 €. Thank you for all the answers!

  • VW up vs Hyundai i10 vs Mitsubishi Space Star

Hello I would like to buy a small compact for short distances. Since our family car swallows a lot and is simply unsuitable for the short distances between kindergarten, sports field and train station. I drive about 30 – 40 km a day, a maximum of 15 km apiece. He must have 4 doors, because I have 2 children in the child seat in the back and should not swallow much and fit into the small parking spaces of the Park & Ride. He should not have much PS either, since I do not need them and the taxes I can exclude diesel at about 6000 km a year. I have now limited my selection to 3 models. Hyundai i10, Mitsubishi Space Star and VW up. Since my own price limit is 10000 the decision should be well thought out. Can you recommend one of these three for my needs or should I look at another model? I am grateful for every input.

  • Car-buying petrol (on Lpg) combination SUV

Hello together, I am about to make a decision. I wanted to buy a used car. I drive about 10 tsd short distance in the year and 3 to 4 times long (1.2 thousand) in total per year I make between 16 to 20 thousand kilometers. I/we need a combi or a larger SUV, plenty of place for prams, MaxiCosi and children’s clothes I thought of buying a used car for max. 18 thousand and converted to LPG. I couldn’t decide between a BMW e61 (best 550 i) or a Volvo V70 or XC 70 or XC90. All are robust, gas-resistant and safe. At the BMW I’m a bit afraid because of serwice, but I’m a screwdriver myself and can already do several things myself. What do you want me to do? P.S. I don’t want anything from VAG, Opel, Fiat Ford

  • Find a new station wagon

Hello! At the moment I drive a 1999 Astra G Kombi with X16SZR engine. Unfortunately, the compression is missing with a cylinder now. So the whole thing becomes more expensive. If I can now find no cheap replacement motor then I need a new car. I would like to have another car. 110 hp Should it be at least. The 75 hp of my Astra are then a little bit less. I would like a maintenance-friendly vehicle where I do not have to run to the workshop every time I have tyres. I don’t really care about the look. The car is just a means of transport for me. So I don’t need a frill. But air conditioning would be nice Every year I drive about 12,000 KM. Petrol or diesel? Probably I would prefer petrol. As a budget I thought of about 800€. Could you recommend me a suitable vehicle?
