Hello dear community, I have the following problem: With me soon my dual studies start and I have to commute almost 200km daily between Frankfurt and Mannheim. For me, however, no move is possible, as I also like to drive a car (run often longer distances a day) and the housing situation in Mannheim is very limited. So I am looking for a vehicle at the moment, which is cheap but also reliable. I currently have a BMW E46 318ti Compact. Unfortunately with almost 10l Super on 100km and also with 210000km. In itself my budget for the car would be almost 600-700 euros per month (incl. fuel costs, insurance, tax, maintenance) Thank you already

Reliable car up to 7500 euros
Good day At the moment I am looking for a reliable car up to 7500 euros. It should be a saloon or SUV and thus 4/5 doorr. I absolutely want an automatic transmission and a good equipment and workmanship. So far I had the C class w203 and at the moment the w211 as avant-garde with absolute full equipment. Desto makes me not happy because I only have problems with it and the oh so great and reliable Mercedes only caused me problems with the G etriebe, Ölkühler, Kette, Elektronik etc etc… So I’m looking for something new, like other brands besides VW, Audi Skoda because I really hate VAG (please don’t take personally or all too seriously). I would like leather and automatic, that’s the most important thing. Brand doesn’t matter I’m Mercedes fan but was really disappointed until now. I thought of a w204 but it looks so pathetic from the inside. only plastic and everything cheap. the golf 5 from my colleague h at better equipment. Despite the reliability lies first. I want to have long what of the car and not get big problems (yes is certainly much required) . I can screw something myself and invest also gladly something . but if it should be like with the e class 3000 euro with a 6000 euro car then well … Please suggest me everything before I am very excited mfg

Purchase advice “golf class” up to 20 000€
Hello, I am looking for a car in the golf class up to 20 000€ maybe even just over it. I already have 2 favourites: Mercedes A-Class 180 or 200 (W167 // 177) 122ps or 156ps // 136ps or 163ps Hyundai I30 (PD) 1.4 Turbo 140PS In principle I have nothing against other cars just no French and no Opel. And I don’t care about the VW 1.4 TSI engine either. I always like to take more equipment with me. But the minimum should be: At least 120hp automatic ( Double coupling) Keyless (would be super) LED headlight Rearview camera Dead angle assistant Cruise control (better distance tempomat) Run under 50 000 km (less) Year of construction from 2015 better new For the Mercedes it speaks optically much more beautiful (Mercedes stop and although only one A-Class also a little bit a status symbol). Although I live in no bad area envy scratchers are not excluded. Which would then bother me, because of the higher price/value mega. Also these ” The W167 180 seems to me a little weak here. Without having driven the car. So only from the numbers. For the Hyundai speaks that it is cheaper to get with the desired equipment. It is not a status symbol. This car will probably not attract any envyers. Of course the “shitgal people” would bother me here too. But probably a little less compared to the more expensive car. V It is also the better choice because it is not a status symbol. Actually, I would be more for the Mercedes. But if we are honest. The first 2 weeks it is cool to have the star on the key, after that it is only a utility object. And 20 000€ does not mean that you have to spend everything. In addition, the enviers and the people who own the others do not care. I am also clear that Hyundai has caught up strongly and lies on or even above VW quality. I just remembered that Ford might still be something

VOLVO 240: Youngtimer beginners looking for professional advice
Dear forum friends, I am new here looking for your advice. After more than 20 years with leased service vehicles (last Audi A5 convertible) and correspondingly little trouble I am now looking for a youngtimer. Not least through an article in the SPIEGEL from February (2020) I fell in love with the VOLVO 240 or 244 (i.e. not a station wagon, but a limousine). Safety, longevity and – I admit – the ultimate cult factor have done it to me. Now my problem: Ic h is not a screwdriver at all and doesn’t want to become one. My (more measured?) wish: The car should be fun and simply work. (In the calendar year I drive only about 10-12.000 km, but also in the North German winter.) Now I ask myself or you as experienced Volvoians: 1. Do I have the prospect of getting happy with a Volvo 240 at all against this background? 2. How much do I have to invest in order to get a “reasonable” 240er? 3. ng is still acceptable? (Openly a few 100,000 are still completely ok.) 4. The limousine was built by 1993; are the last vintages really the best? 5. Are there types (circuit or automatic, GL or GLT etc.) that I should look for or avoid? I am grateful for any advice or advice (if necessary only for individual aspects) and thank you already in advance for your help!

Škoda Scala or rather a used person in the same price segment?
Servus, I would like to buy a new chassis in the next few months, because the A2 doesn’t really do it anymore. I am looking for a compact car in golf size, gasoline, my price limit is about 17,000. I have decided more or less already for the Scala 1.0 with 116hp, but would like to hear some other opinions. At the same price there would be a 1 BMW, a golf or a seat Leon FR with a maximum of 40,000km on it. What do you say and what can you recommend to me? new or rather a used car with a few kilometers on it? Or maybe a completely different car in this class? Thank you!

Request for purchase advice (small car), budget 15000 Euro
I am an approximately 190 cm large EU pensioner living on the village and the car is mainly used for doctors, shopping and holiday trips. Furthermore, one or other visit of the relatives is certainly possible. At the beginning of next year a new car should come new or used (maximum 2 years old) both. A petrol engine with 90 Ps should be at least 120 Ps more than sufficient. I would like to spare the environment nevertheless I would like an air conditioning/car matic and a seat heating for the woman, the rest comes up. My budget is about 15000 Euro I could not increase to 20000 Euro any more in any case. Of course I have already looked around extensively and I like the Kona extremely well and for this car I would just fully excite my budget, but would rather be cheaper because the EU pension is not overly high. What I like about so much – Kia Venga/Kia Stonic, Citroën C3, Suzuki Baleno, to name just one direction. I have had experiences with Nissan but the Qashqai will probably be too expensive. What is not really possible for me – Smart, Ford Ka/Fiesta and Corsa I look forward to your opinions and tips. Wishes a Happy Easter and Stay Healthy

Golf IV or Golf V TDI?
Hello I would like to buy either a Golf 4 1.9 TDI or Golf 5 1.9 TDI in the next few months, but I am unstoppable. I am very enthusiastic about the driving characteristics of the Golf 5 and it is definitely much more modern in many respects in contrast to the 4s, however the reliability is my top priority. Since I don’t want to spend more than 3000 euros most 5s you find for the money rather mau from the condition. Also another question about the engine, the Does it mean that the 1.9 TDI 105 hp in Golf 5 is more consumed and is not as stable as the 1.9 TDI in Golf 4? Which of the two would you take? Please don’t go into any diesel driving bans or how to buy an old diesel now…we can clarify that differently when

Economical motorway car
Hello, there is a change in my career, so I will soon drive about 120 kilometers a day. About 110 KM on the motorway in BW. That’s why I’m looking for a economical motorway car. In addition, I drive relatively much and also far in my spare time. I’m aware of the current negative press, nevertheless it should become a DIESEL, the best would be Euro 6. If I hold back (i.e. highway with around 100 KM/H) a maximum of 5 liters. There are a lot of small cars that have a very low consumption, but on the motorway they rise in some cases enormously. There are no reasonable comparison figures for motorway consumption. As a budget I plan in about up to 8,000,- € design and driving fun are important to me, but can currently also put something back. I would like for example a Ford Focus or Seat Leon. Do you have any tips or experiences in this area? LG

Need new car with large trunk
Hi guys, I’m currently looking for a second car or a car for my mother. I’m currently driving a Golf 7 Varriant, my mother an A3. The reason for the purchase is that I now have 2 (big) dogs and I don’t fit two dog boxes in my Golf 7. And a third dog should still be here. I don’t know which direction to go at the moment. One way would be to go to Dacia, as a doctor or Duster. Would cost me about 15k al However, also somehow with zero equipment. An alternative would be to take a caddy or a multivan, possibly as a used car. Or also some caddy type semi-box car from a third-party manufacturer, such as Citroen, Peugeot, etc. What makes more sense? My problem is quite honest that I come from an absolute comfort vehicle, 140hp, DSG, ACC, lane holding assistant, automatic parking, light and rain sensor, Keyless, etc.

Buy annual car without test drive
Moin, I would like to buy an annual car soon (Seat Leon FR). I have in mind 15tkm running BJ 08/19 with 4 years manufacturer warranty. The difference to approximate comparable car within a radius of 200km is 2000-300€. So I would like to have the car transported by freight forwarder. Can I do this with such a car with a calm conscience? Several dealers offer the favorable price, unfortunately these are all at least 500km away from me. someone has had experience with such a transport and can possibly give tips what I should consider? Greetings
