  • Used car with driving fun and everyday fitness for approx. 16k

Hello dear Motor-Talk municipality, I would be happy about a few suggestions regarding a new used one. My budget is at 16,000€, the whole I could stretch to a maximum of 20,000€, whereby I would prefer a car around 16 or less, so that I still have reserves if surprisingly a repair or similar is pending. Some information about me: I usually only drive short distance (2-10km) and 2-3 times a month long distance (300+km) otherwise the car should also allow me My first car was an Alfa Romeo 155 2.0l twin park. It was replaced with my current car BMW Z3 2.8l roadster. Both cars have given me a lot of pleasure, but the reliability of the Alfa left a lot to be desired and in the meantime, the lack of space in the trunk and the fact that it was only a few minutes away from the car was annoying to me at the Z3 and the fact that the car had a lot of fun. In addition, I think the Z3 is much too exhausting for longer rides and often completely useless in winter, because the roads are only partly cleared in winter, so I can not move the Z3 at all, because it is too deep. I am already spoiled by the 2.8l in-line six cylinder in the Z3, meanwhile the performance is too low, however I never had problems with the engine, it runs like a 1 without much care and In the next 3 months I want to get a new used car. I don’t want a convertible anymore. It should be a station wagon, a limousine or a coupé. The car should definitely be better than my current and in addition to half way comfort also offer driving fun. In addition, I want more usability, i.e. more space in the trunk and the possibility to transport at least 4 people. I would have preferred to have an older Alfa (à la Alfa Romeo 75 3.0l or even 1.8l Turbo or an Alfa GTV6) again. But I didn’t want to do this dream for the time being, because I want a certain degree of reliability and I shouldn’t get rid of the car even in winter. I’ve already informed myself a little bit about two dream cars, the BMW 335i and the Audi S4. Both cars I find absolutely great; insurance, consumption and tax would be perfectly fine. However, any repair costs will scare me off very much. At the 335i unfortunately only the N54 engine is in my budget and about which I have read too many horror stories (maybe I have also overly scared because I have stumbled too much in forums). Since the S4 for me only the 3.0 TFSI engine comes into question, and this is only installed since 2009, there is very few cars I could afford and I am afraid of them, because I would not like to take advantage of the cheapest offer only to have to put X-thousands € in retrospect. Again: -Budget 16,000€ (absolute pain limit 20,000€) -Kombi, Coupé or Limousine -More space and comfort than the Z3 (should probably not be a big problem -More performance than the Z3 with its 193hp offers – petrol or diesel is basically no matter, whereby I tend to become a gasoline tanker I don’t care about automatics or manuals, but as long as it’s not a very old, slow automatic, I would be happy with automatics. Please let me know if I have forgotten important information or if you need any other information. What can you recommend to me? MfG Jim

  • Seat Alhambra – meaningful compilation? What else do I have to consider?

Hi, my original plan was to replace my old diesel with a new Renault Grand Scenic. Since a new Seat Alhambra on the Internet would only cost a little more, I’m just thinking about getting it for myself. I’d like to know if my compilation makes sense, or if there is something that you think is rarely used and you can save yourself. Unfortunately, the dealer nearby had only one Sharan standing in the parking lot, but the full equipment and the highest e equipment line had. Here my configuration: Equipment line STYLE Motor 2.0 TDI Start&Stop 110kW Style DSG DAB digital radio reception Navigation package High-light assistant Air conditioning “Climatronic” with 3 climate zones, separate temperature control front and rear panoramic glass sliding roof level control, suspension rear with fully automatic level control system Extension of the manufacturer’s warranty by 3 years, 100,000 km driving assistance package chrome package trailer s Chwenkbar, mit elektrielle Unlockung Schlüsselloses Schließ- und Startsystem “Kessy” Full Link Ultrasonic parking aid front and rear Automatic distance control ACC up to 210 km/h Side windows from 2nd row of seats and rear window dark tinted Technology package with Climatronic 7-seater Winter package Package EMOTION Business package COMFORT Business package INFOTAIN Luggage compartment package Would be great if one or the other could say something about it.

  • 2018: is this already worth buying diesel cars, or would you rather wait?

the headline says everything: The prices are supposed to fall for diesel cars, and it seems to be really that way from the heart. But now also in September 2018 the taxes, i.e. the car taxes in Germany, are to be increased considerably, and therefore my question: is it worth it now because of the obviously falling prices for diesel vehicles to buy them or to wait better?

  • Used cars… Recommendations, tips, etc.

Hello dear MT community, (also) I have planned to buy a used car. I live in the small town of Goslar, quasi in the countryside. Since I don’t know about the matter at all, I need your advice, tips, recommendations, etc. Would be great if you can help me. My ideas a) for what and b) to what extent I use the car: a) More out of town than in town. b) i.e. small tours on the WE and about every 8 weeks family visit, distance about 350 km a way. I think that I drive about 12,000 km (max. 15,000 km) a year. What is particularly important to me is affordable maintenance costs (dental belt change, inspection, repairs). The fuel consumption may also be around 10 to 12 l/100 km (city). As I think that this is the only factor that you can change yourself, by your own driving method. And with insurance I can look at various websites… My monthly budget is I don’t really care about the brand. May be a “uncooles”, “Opa-Auto” or “extravagantes” model. So I’m looking for a suitable car to my profile name. In safety & comfort would be good if airbags & servo are available. And of course, TÜV should have minimum 1 year, best NEW. Please don’t have small cars. Have the feeling that the maintenance costs are at least as expensive, if not even more expensive than the middle class car. Now to the purchase costs. I thought that I would save up to 2000,- € and spend half of it as a purchase price and put the rest on a high edge to pay for possible short-term repairs. My questions: 1. Is this possible utopian? 2. Should I save more and invest more in the purchase price? Oh yes, this forum has been in focus for some time already and has read some interesting topics about used cars (especially cheap). I also last days the blogs of italeri194 7. Because the good gentleman has been mentioned many times. I am also interested in other opinions… That would have to be enough for the beginning. Hope enough information has been given. If there are still questions, then come on with it. LG Outer76 PS: Thank you already in advance for the answers and efforts!

  • In search of the perfect car: trailer coupling, dog, economical

My criteria are: – trailer coupling for caravans – space for double box in the trunk (2 dogs) – low maintenance (so the SUVs all fall out) – petrol (drive <12.000 km) - no huge part (must go to work with it and the parking garage has a low height, transporters are out) - max. 10,000€ -max. 150,000 km and then the small car ram, which I would like to have: - air conditioning - automatic time is not necessary. What's the right thing? So far I have only found SUVs, which are exorbitantly expensive with insurance and taxes. or the VW Touran. but maybe I don't see what?

  • Small Suv up to 12,000

Hello dear community My mother is looking for a new car. Currently she is driving the Mercedes A-Class from 2003. Since she is used to the slightly higher seats and is also more useful for age, she is looking for a slightly higher car. New A-Class is not so high anymore, therefore falls away. Therefore, probably a small Suv comes into question. Price as said up to about 12.000, automatic is a must. Otherwise only seat heating and PDC rear.

  • Small car with heated steering wheel

Hello, my wife is not allowed to leave cold on her hands for health reasons. Since we don’t have a garage, I’m looking for a new used car for her with a heatable steering wheel (and possibly a heater). She only drives small cars. Can you please list small car models where the heated steering wheel was to be ordered as an extra? Then I could look more targeted. If small cars don’t have/had this extra grds, then maybe a class larger (golf, etc.). in advance.

  • Discreet lack discovered after 4 years. Chances ?

Hello together, briefly to the situation: 4 years ago I bought a car from someone privately (declared as accident-free), since I will start a study next month the BAföG Office demanded the appointment of an expert, who should determine the value for my car. Here the expert found that the whole front and left side was repainted! Visually not to recognize as lay. Here a previous accident damage is probably very likely. can I there n Ach 4 years still do something at all, let alone prove. Thank you very much for your help.

  • Used kid up to 900€

Moin people, before I open here several contributions to individual vehicles in their Unterforen:My girlfriend is looking for a new car. No bigger than a golf (even with this the parking situation is fatal with us)Budget max. 9000 € (8000 € would like her far better, but that’s clear) No older than from 2014 No more than 60/70.000 km4 doors (a dog has to go with that in such a box with side walls on the back bench. If you now say that the offers are around 100 % improve if you take a 2-door and put the dog in the trunk: let’s know!)petrol seat heating, ideally cruise control approx. 500 km highway + 50 km city/week car should ideally (because that was their current Golf IV also so) hold at least 7 years. We have actually scanned everything already. She would like a Polo V, but apparently only from 9500 € really “good” or an Ibiza. In general, the offer with its desired specifications is quite mau. Ic h you wanted to recommend an Up or Smart ForFour (which are somehow mega cheap to have), but she doesn’t want an “Ei”. One or the other of you is certainly a little more knowledgeable and can grab us something under the arms with arguments, why exactly the car or this motorization is super or has one or the other secret tip ready. We just need some kind of signpost I look forward to your answers!

  • Tuono and/or Speed Twin?! I’ll soon throw a coin for the decision

Moinmoin dear two-wheeler, a new freshman comes to you and I am already confronting you with my very personal dilemma. As you have already guessed from the title, I am looking for my own fun device … and I can’t decide partout. My hope is that you may be able to help me out of my dead end. After long abstinence from motorcycling and innumerable longing looks in the summer when I see the mopeds driving past me Until I had the Aprilia Tuono 1100 rr and the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 in the narrow selection, a lot of research has already been done. I started my Töff career with a small lawn mower at the age of 16 and then increased myself step by step. first an Aprilia RS 125, after a piston eater on the highway there was then for 3 years an R6 until I changed it about 4 years ago because of unfinanceability because of the study So I grew up especially with sporty models. Meanwhile I packed 2 weeks full with test drives behind me and put on pretty much everything that came into question somehow and so even gained new experiences. All these machines I was allowed to test (despite the unspeakable heat the last 3 days) – – – Triumph Speed Triple RS – Yamaha MT10 SP – Yamaha R6 – Ducati Monster 1200 The R6 first flew out of the race after the test drives. Ic h doesn’t know if it was just a faded memory or youthful exuberance, which let me ignore the fact that the R6 is impractical off the track. Down below, the engine starts to do far too little pressure and fun only beyond the speed indicator, where one could still drive half normal and legally. Also the wrists, were properly strained and so I became painfully clear that I have already reached the 30. The MT10 and the Speed Triple are sup he motorbikes, driving very harmoniously. one feels sure, they gave me a good feedback in the curves, let themselves easily steer into the curves and push in, neat suit especially down there, are equipped with some electronics and I noticed how you could be sure to have fun with it. But apart from my opinion quite salted prices for each about 18 mille, she could, just in comparison with my two chosen ones, she could never have the same In addition, the very straight sitting position and the raised handlebar on the MT10 and the Ducati were very unusual for me. I didn’t really agree with it. In the Tuono v4 almost everything was right. I find the V4 sound divine. Driving was really fun, it was agile, spinning, has power without end. I knew right away, here I start to fall in love. I also find the top electronics and the toys like the pitstop hammer. I have to admit, though, that when driving a I also find the high fuel consumption in connection with the missing tank indicator annoying. I also find it exudes a lot of heat between the legs and although I find the sitting position extremely comfortable, the seat cushion pinches me after a short time. Also the Speedtwin pulled out all registers. I think it looks very sharp. It looks like a masterpiece. She could also use me when driving. for her high weight I found her very handy and agile. I almost didn’t want to go down there anymore. However, it’s a completely different ride. Rather comfortable, a sporty cruise, although she also doesn’t stay quite boring when you open the cock. Also the sound and the bubbling, when you walk off the gas, I almost got goose bumps. So, and now I’m in my mess. Both motorcycles did it incredibly to me. And I just can’t tell My motorcycle should be both Hobbie and means of transportation. In good weather with it to work. time and again also for short distances and into the city. But also to drive extended alpine pass roads. It should also be possible to take a Sozia over a certain distance (which is why I decided among other things against the Factory) Also a good selling value should remain, if I want to sell it again in 1-2 years, so possible I can’t decide so much that I’ve already made serious considerations about buying both motorcycles. I’ve thought about it so much that the Tuono would be my “hobbie bike” and the triumph would be my “everyday bike”. I think by now, that the decision is so difficult for me, because both motorcycles complement, both emotional and practical. The triumph is perfect for chilly cruises, great for taking someone in the back, from A- to The Tuono, on the other hand, is the adrenaline junkie that writes you and drives you on, chases you through the passes and also likes to make a detour to the race track. Or briefly, the Tuono is the cocaine that gets you up and the triumph of the joint that brings you down But 30 thousand is a hell of a lot of gravel and then there’s also equipment that almost doubles, because a Dainese combi doesn’t get very good at it. the Triumph makes etc. As well as the insurance. I would certainly have to come on 25 ropes for both to be able to ice it to me. I get the Tuono for 16 with Akrapovich plant, the Triumph for 14. Without plant I could have it for 15. Lack still 4000. At Triumph he could not lower anything with the price. He could delete the 250th- delivery package and possibly give a voucher over 300.- for in his shop, if I pay cash. Occasion is also very difficult. On the one hand I have little knowledge, when it comes to determining a used vehicle to its real value or to finding hidden damages. On the other hand, the occasion market does not give much. I did not find a Tuono at a fair price. If it is not even 3 thousand cheaper after 12000km, then the occasion purchase is not worthwhile. The triumph is so new, there are simply no offers. I found a single one. for 2000.- less and 2200km. 1 service made and still factory gara ntie… but just, I always feel like I could be cut over my ears because I wouldn’t notice it anyway. What would you decide and why? Or what can you advise me to do? Show me the look from this darkness
