  • Used car shopping – smells huge

Moin, I used to buy a nice BMW here, but the conditions are so stupid that it stinks already. Was on an online market, contacted the seller via email. The price was indicated in the market at 8,000€, 40,000km. Reply mail then came from an email address with female name of a French woman. Broken google translate German. Car is on her name, she “has taken the car from Germany and now the car is in Frank Tüv would be rich until 5/2018, divorced from her husband, car reminds of him, wants to sell him as soon as possible, pushes the price down to 6000, if I go to the Franco-German border Strasbourg and take it with me. S/W tires in the price, “all taxes paid in Germany” (which taxes?), service booklet completely maintained. So damn good offer. Then comes what I don’t get at all. All papers will be ready for a sale, and I can also use the same To appease again, it is suggested that you go to some workshop nearby and let the car look at. Questions: Don’t you have to deregister the car here in Germany first? Otherwise you could just theoretically say that I stole your car. And then her name still hangs everywhere in the papers?! Supposedly, the thing is completely fine, how would I/she have to proceed here? The thing just stinks. But if that were a serious offer, I don’t want to miss it either! Hope for input and thank you in advance.

  • Cheap, reliable convertible, two seats!

Hello, I play with the thought to get me a convertible. Ask me if this is possible with a budget of approx. 2000€, and if so what. It should have power, mind 120ps upwards. 2 seats, of course would be most horny with leather equipment. From the outside already something to do. Best also well suitable for screwing. Age is relatively irrelevant to me, should of course be in a neat condition, even if you buy still find many defects Km running power is re I think my demands are too high, especially in the area where there is little good, or do I see that wrong?

  • Liability for defects/guarantee

Moien, I bought my better half in early January 2017 a Golf Bj. 2011. I drove about 480km far to a dealer and everything was ok, at least so far. Now in the Kombi 2 warning lights lit up and I am on my own account to the VW dealer who read out the car. It looks like the ignition distributor has one away. In the worst case the control unit, which he does not assume, because with my model the ignition distributor often gives up the mind. Now my question: If the ignition distributor, at least about 200€, falls under the liability for defects, or does it stick to me? Do not misunderstand, if it had been the ignition cables, I would have paid it directly, but the ignition distributor…

  • Roadster searched: BMW Z4 E85 vs. Mazda MX5 new

Hello together! I want to finally fulfill my dream this year and buy a nice two-seater convertible. Since “beautiful” is almost subjective, I have limited myself to 3 models. 1. BMW Z3 Facelift (but actually out, because too old/adventure) 2. BMW Z4 E85 (only R6, the favorite!) 3. Mazda MX5 New car/year car (the reason variant?) Important marginal condition: Austria (i.e. restricted market or expensive import from D) Are both variants suitable for everyday use in the sense of: – All-year drive ug – Lanternparker – holiday 2 weeks open driving At the first reviews of the MX-5 at the dealer’s office, the trunk seemed pretty small for a holiday. Does anyone have practical experience? What would you recommend in terms of profitability? Spend more and low follow-up costs but value loss or otherwise around? Driving performance is hard to say, but probably so 15000 km/year. Thanks for your opinions!

  • C-Class, B-Class, Octavia or Insignia; 10,000 – 20,000 €

Hello to the round, my old Astra is ticking around more and more… A new used person has to come here. Here my coordinates: work path (one distance) 32 km, of which 18 km (city) highway, 14 km city also various service trips via highway and rural road in total I come to 25,000 – 30,000 kilometers a year I am 2 m tall and accordingly I need space. I am looking for a car that offers me driving comfort, is reliable and is affordable in maintenance. I live in Berlin. I prefer C-Class, B-Class, Octavia and Insignia. Which would you recommend and why? My cash budget is between 10,000 and 12,000 euros. An additional financing of 250-300 euros per month is no problem. I therefore also wonder whether a young star is worth it? I could easily finance it in 2-3 years. Or do you think a “normal” dealer guarantee is sufficient. I am grateful for all the hints.

  • Renewed advice for beginners up to 2,5k

Hello, I have to ask for your help again. The overview because of a new thread. Based on my previous thread ( ) I need help with the model and offer selection again, because the parameters have changed a little and I have not found a suitable car so far. The basic parameters are almost all preserved. Here again currently listed: The main reason of this new thread is the last point of the list: I would like to have a car with automatic I’ve been driving a friend’s car for some time now, and I really don’t want to have to move around in the gearbox all the time. It’s annoying me, quite honestly, totally. (I’m only really aware of it now after I have my driver’s license) Now I can imagine that a car with automatics might be problematic with my budget. Especially since I urgently need help finding a car with which the automatic transmission is a good thing. In some other threads I have z .B. read that the automatic transmission in the Corsa C is not the best. Which models can you recommend here? I have searched for and also found some A-classes. e.g. the here: Is there something to expose to on an A-Class? What do you think of this offer? Or an agnz different model/offer? Thanks already for your help 🙂 Greeting

  • Kombi Searched

Servus To me am 3 times family father(2 dwarfs and a big one), my wife calls me mostly Clemens To the wanted “new” Should be a station wagon or really have a lot of space to offer because we are often on the way to 5+ strollers. My driving performance is thus about 15 TKM and at about 30 / 40 / 30 city to highway to country road would be desirable a fair engine power of 100 to 150 hp. Since my dear Focus has become an economic total damage due to a driving accident t unfortunately my budget is only 2000 € up to a maximum of 2500 € At age I am quite open and I prefer a checkbook of 10 year olds from first hand rather than a 5 year old who was not really to the service in the workshop. From the maintenance he should if possible not lie far above my old (Focus 1.6 101 HP petrol). Would I look forward very much to suggestions and also things I should pay attention to when inspecting the vehicles (weaknesses etc.). lemens

  • Beginner’s car up to 500€ without frills

Hello, first of all to me – I am Thomas, 18, living in Eibenstock and driving up to now a Husqvarna WR(E) 125, where a lot has been done. Since I am above the car driving license, I am looking for a car. The following criteria are available for me: – Budget: 500€ for car & registration – German brand (except a few exceptions) – Taxes up to 300€/year – Consumption combined up to 12l/100km – Length by 4.50m, i.e. middle class – limousine, coupé or tailpiece – no golf please – I hate the things – Performance from 110hp to 150hp – no Schicki-Micki frills like seat heating or something like that – green pollutant badge The following vehicles say to me: – Audi A4 B5 1.8T, 1.8 Suction cup or 1.9 TDI – Audi A4 B6 2.0 FSI – MG ZR 1.8 (even if the compact class is..) – Skoda Octavia 1.8 Suction cup 1.9 TDI or 1.8T – BMW E46 318i or 320i – Benz C208 CLK 200 Compressor – Benz W202 C200 or C200 Compressor – Benz W203 C180 Compressor – Ford Mondeo ’01 1.8 SCi, 2.0 Duratec or 2.0 TDCi – Volvo S60 2.0T I wil l no VW 1.6-suger, if any 1.6, then the FSI. Actually, this car selection is rather forced, because I am dependent on the green badge. Otherwise, more consorts like Kadett E, Corrado or B4 would stand above. My question is now which of the car (or another – if you can recommend me other cars) best fits my needs. Insurance is not an issue. Greetings, Thomas

  • Search Golf 4 and Alternatives

Hello, since I’ve been looking for a car for a long time, but it didn’t show anything really suitable up to now, I wanted to ask if someone can recommend a golf. The car, preferably a Golf 4 min. from 2002 from 75 hp, should not cost more than 2,500€, ads with 3000€ are still negotiable. The car should have a 3-spoke steering wheel, a climate automatic, new timing belts, new brakes. It should not run out or leak like e.g. oil. Ässenige Sportsitze. It should be maintained from inside and outside, according to the age. Check booklet and various proofs about parts (dental belts) are necessary. HU/AU should also be new. Best in Saxony Anhalt since the way would otherwise be too far. Would such a thing be found in the price range or should I rather look for something else (other equipment) around? In the appendix I have photos of a chic golf as I find, unfortunately I get no answer from the seller. At this golf orientier I like myself. Thank you in advance !

  • Family car up to 18k€

Hello dear Motor-Talk municipality, I am looking for a new vehicle for my wife and the rest of the family, budget up to 18 k€ about. We are a family with two children (11 and 14 years old) + dog, mileage about 15tkm/pa, mainly city and short distances. Currently a Peugeot 308 SW 120 VTI, BJ 2008 is present, is also quite ok so far, especially the room offer in this class is already great. The 120 hp engine is however quite tired and is not really fun, therefore the desire the car I myself have a BMW 318d touring as a service car, great car, but as a family car for our “average family” new anyway unaffordable, therefore at best needed as 318it with 50 tkm on the clock an alternative. Premium also doesn’t have to be necessarily (especially if I see the whole gammelden C-classes from the 00s every day…). My wife somehow has a VW affinity, which I a I would rather have the urge to have a little more engine capacity, but without a loader and as easy and stable as possible (if there is still such a thing). The car should also not be older than 3 years. I can’t really estimate the useful life yet, the plan is “to the bitter end”, but you never know how to pack it…. I know, this is all a bit unspecific, but it’s all a bit unspecific, but Maybe you have some suggestions that will make it easier for me to decide which direction it might go. Thank you in advance for your answers!
