  • Search new/young used small cars, min.100hp

Hello! I’m currently looking for a small car. It’s my first car, so I’d like to get a bit better equipped and motorized. I don’t need automatic transmission, instead I prefer a sliding roof. Hazards are about 12-15tkm p.a., about half short distance (5-7km), half long distance (100km+). Unfortunately, I have the “small problem” that many small cars don’t seem to agree to me, often too playful and too restless design. I’m looking for the conservative among the small cars. fit into it, what does it look like from the technical point of view? Did there have in the past several problems? Which engine would be recommended at the moment? I also find the Kia Rio shown on the MT homepage appealing. Would it be worth a recommendation? Thank you for your tips!

  • Car for road trip

Hello to each other, I plan to get a second car for the summer next year or one and a half years. This car would be used for road trips through Europe and more sporty driving. Only it should not become a classic car like VW Bus or the like. My budget for a used car would be at an upper limit of 65000+- 5000 Euro. I aim for a V8 or V6 engine technology. Number of seats is not relevant at first. My favourites so far: Audi RS7/S7 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe or XKR-S Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Are there any other vehicles that could be considered that are similar to those mentioned above?

  • Used car purchase: handover is not & very difficult contacting

Hello, we bought a used car after two visits and test driving, but now the handover of the car (and money transfer) has been there for over a month and now we (neither car nor legal specialists) are at a loss what we can still do, because we definitely want the car.The process was the following: 25.11.2017 Purchase agreement signed by buyer and seller, but neither the money nor the car changed the owner. h minor repairs take place (gummis, a type plate at the door, small part at the gear lever…), time inaccurate, seller suspects “beginning next week”, buyer says he has it not so hasty, more important is to him that everything is “gone” repaired. 29.11.2017 SMS from buyer to seller with several questions, seller answers a few days later to a question. It follows over the next 2.5 weeks within a distance of approx. 2 to 3 days various requests for the whereabouts of the car pe 20.12.: Buyer calls seller, again no feedback. 21.12. K reaches V. V. thinks that only one work has to be done (shift lever) and can imagine a handover before Christmas. On the same day V brings the papers of the car (letter, note, TÜV, invoices) by K at home and says that he will definitely report on 22.12. to make out more. 22.12. K assures the car and No more signs of life of V, despite various contact attempts, we telephoned through the city or the county to locate the person – we were informed that the person is generally unreliable. On 03.01.2018. V calls K to propose a handover for Friday, 5.12.. Car is only ready for the mechanic and until Friday. Handover between 9 and 13 o’clock, as V afterwards must leave. V wants to call briefly on 04.01. for an exact time. 04. 01.2018: V does not sign up. K calls V, V says he calls back because he forgot to contact the mechanic. Nevertheless, no feedback from V. WhatsApp message from K to V three hours later: “Hello Mr. XY, what did the mechanic say?” Answer: “With clean Monday noon”. Over the entire weeks several contact paths were searched (signal, WhatsApp, SMS, call). The seller said on 3.1. that he was there on vacation. We raise very strong doubts as to whether Monday to What we would like to know now:How does the seller make himself vulnerable (punishable)? How can we get the car as quickly and as peacefully as possible? How and to what extent can we claim damages? (reason: car is insured for free, I have to lend myself permanently mobile kit)

  • Solid combo without frills (Mercedes w 124 vs. Volvo 850 / V70)

Hi, I was only car-sharer so far and would like to get my first car. Mainly I would like to drive out of the city on weekends (about 150 km/W) and of course also one or other city- and other overland trip will not be missing. However, the car will not be driven to work. Since I will transport some things, I am looking for a station wagon. At the same time I am looking for a car, which can be repaired halfway and the possible I’m looking for a commercial vehicle, not a prestige car or a pleasure car. According to my research, especially in this great forum, I’ve now landed at the models S 124 from Mercedes (w124 230 TE to MOPF 1) and 850 or V 70 I from Volvo (petrols). I realize that the old cars are and that one or the other can occur. But I’d rather buy a solid old car without any expected loss of value than a newer car with In my view, a lot of unnecessary Schnick Schnack, which can only be repaired by half-timbered workshops with IT devices. I had presented myself at a price of up to about 4,000 euros. All three models seem to be very solid constructed and produced cars, which can last for a long time even with very high running performance with reasonable maintenance. There seems to be enough spare parts and workshops for all. the Volvos of the more edgy 850s are better than the more modern V 70. But that is, as written, no essential criterion and I have the feeling that it is easier to get a V 70 I without rust than the two other models. In addition, the 124s and 850s have already had a few more years on the hump. Especially the topic of rust seems to me to be a real problem with the Mercedes. I would prefer an automatic transmission, despite the higher consumption, and at least with the M ercedes don’t seem to be error-prone either. Now I would be interested in your esteemed opinion. What do you think is the better choice? Have I missed something not considered/better models? Thank you in advance Seb

My last car is now a total damage despite more than 1000€ repair costs. it has to be so fast it goes a new car for the way into the work. Route profile 70% place 20% country road 10% BAB with 100kmh restriction per direction approx 50km to the month so 2000km unfortunately I currently have max 4000€ available, rather only 350€ The car should last 1-3 years and then I finance a demonstration car. Come from Austria! Thought so on BMW E46 or Mercedes C200 Something without DPF what l and other expensive spare parts. lg

  • Gasoline small car+ up to 10,000€

Hi together, I am 23 years old and I study in Vienna. For the Christmas, summer and semester holidays I need a car now to be mobile in my home town. I am looking for a small car, because in my opinion a limousine is simply not worth it, if you drive mostly alone or together. Kombi as well. However, it should be rather a large small car, because I drive mainly highway and highway. It should also be a bit more sporty, since I live on a mountain and d like to drive dynamically. It is desired that the car has a touch of sportiness (optical as well as technical). On the motorway it should drive pleasantly and feel as little as possible like a small car. It is planned that the car is used in this way for the next 5-6 years, preferably with so few workshop stays we possible. Are there cars for which you could spontaneously make a recommendation? Which things must be taken care of with them? From which cars do you like to drive dynamically. You would advise against this class, and why? Thank you and say hello.

  • Which small car (i20/Rio/A3)?

Hello, I am looking for a fuel-saving small car (petrol) in the area of Düsseldorf. I drive about 60km of it every day 50% highway, 30% highway and 20% city traffic. My budget is about 13,000€, less is of course better. At Schnickschnack I would be happy about Bluetooth, a cruiser and possibly a navigator, but everything is not absolutely necessary. Originally I thought that I would buy an i10. However, after I had tried both the i10 and the i20 the i10 unfortunately out. At the moment I tend to one of the following cars: i20: http://suche.mobile.de/vehicles/details.html?id=241269675 An almost new car with EC in good time before changing the warranty conditions by Hyundai, so that here still 4.5 years warranty should still be fully valid. Rio: http://suche.mobile.de/vehicles/details.html?id=242618520 Has already half a year and 20,000km on the hump, but is accident-free and should therefore still have 6.5 years warranty. As a runaway: A3: http://2618520 Has already half a year and 20,000km on the hump, but is accident-free and should still have 6.5 years warranty. search.mobile.de/vehicles/details.html?id=242546495 The car is 3 years old and already has 40,000km on the hump. Besides, it is still a bit more expensive and slightly above the targeted budget. How come that the car is so much more expensive? Is the Qaiity better than the others and I have to expect for example less follow-up costs? Is it possible that the more expensive used person compared to the other two? To which of the cars would you advise me and why? Thank you very much!

  • Opel Astra Sports Tourer or Peugeot 308 SW

Hello to each other. We want to buy a new car the next few days. At the moment we are fluctuating between an Opel Astra Sports Tourer and a Peugeot 308 SW. That there are so-called “mountain cars” in all brands is just like that – but I don’t think the two brands are bad. Does anyone have any experience with one of the two “combis” or “brands”? Would be very happy about objective opinions. LG Martin
