  • Ford Grand C-Max – 120PS Diesel Powershift vs. 150PS petrol converter car.

Hello together, we are about to purchase a new car and we have decided for the Ford Grand C-Max. Mainly because of the sliding doors in this price segment, there is nothing comparable / better. We have already received some offers from local Ford dealers and the configuration is already fixed, only with the engine choice I have my doubts and would need some help. To the selection are 1.5TDCI 120PS Powershift automatic and a 1.6 Ecoboost 150PS Automatic converter. Driving profile: -max. 15,000km/year -60% Motorway 20% Road 20% City -Road to work 15km per way – every 2-3 weeks times Routes from 50-100km -2-3x per year Family visit, per way 750km therefore 4500km Total -possibly holiday trips (routes unknown) According to the manufacturer, the automatic petrol consumption is 6,8l combined, according to the fuel monitor 8,7l The automatic diesel consumes 4,8l combined, according to the manufacturer, according to the fuel monitor 6,2l for the manual switch If you use 2liter Mehrv If you run out of petrol, the driving profile is about 300l or 420€/year more compared to the diesel, at a fuel price of 1.40€. Since we want to drive the car for 10 years, it is not easy for me to decide. What do you mean? Diesel or petrol? Next week I have an appointment for the test drive of both engines, but I think I will be happy with both.

  • Small cars/ few electronics on the dashboard

Hello, I’m looking for a cheap car and now I prefer the cheap small car over a used car. A car has little purpose for me, I drive small routes for shopping, spare parts should be easily and cheaply available, need space only for a passenger, no large storage space required. However, there is probably an unusual wish for you: the dashboard should have as little electronics as possible. I also don’t have an iphone, I This bright light and even PCs in the eyes feel very unpleasant (I already know that you can regulate the brightness, I always try, nevertheless). So my wish would be a simple display optics, if possible in black and white, no yellow-green-blue glowing lights (and if possible not that automatically surrs or beeps). Something like these senior phones, which are matt, without color lights, can only phone and send sms. So the Au I just want to be able to drive around without a toy frill. There’s a Toyota Aygo in my alley, which looks quite simple when I look at the amarture board. Can’t imagine that the aura of flashing and glowing. Does someone like that be with other cars, e.g. Renault, Ford, Seat? What would you recommend? Thanks already 🙂

  • Driver looking for the perfect car up to 600€

Hello, I have already searched here and asked, but my view has changed a bit, here a new thread: I am looking for a car for 5000 Euro or for a really good car also 600€. My dream car is actually a Mazda MX 5, unfortunately only 2 seats. For the budget is often recommended Toyota Yaris / Corolla, Ford Fiesta etc. Basically I am brand open, but unfortunately I don’t like the old Ford models too much optically. My requirements: -Mind. 4 seats -enug Performance to see not only rear lights on the BAB -right problem-free -most favorite limousine -favorable maintenance -optically it should make it a little bit. I looked at a few Volvo S40, are optically good for me, how is that? Otherwise I would like a Mazda 3 but also Mazda 6, both however rust problems. Toyota Corolla would then be my absolute emergency solution, good car, little problems, not too expensive. What can you recommend? Thanks

  • New car purchase, Diesel Hyundai or Seat or MB ?

Tomorrow, I doubt a bit. Since our used bowl should be gone, we thought about taking a treat for ourselves. So we thought, what comes into question? MB the new A class we like very much. Hyundai the i30. Yes the i40 too, but there I strike. At Seat we like the Leon Fr very well. We are all meanwhile, except the A class test. Was very nice and I liked it. From Seat I have a pretty good opinion. Drive the new Ibiza often times ( So far we have always had Kombi’s. However, we no longer need a Kombi anymore. My focus is currently on the sporty. I like to float. What is given great attention is a Navi. At Hyundai it should be the big one. The i30 we were only interested in as a Kombi. The Limo we found then from the trunk a little sparse. Why ever…. Pricewise we don’t really want to go too far beyond the edge. Actually we were at 20 tsd. Inzwisc The A class would therefore only go as a young star. The other vehicles go through EU stock exchanges quite well. The question is now only… what is more good? What are the experiences with the models here? Seat, Hyundai or MB? What would you advise? Greetings Angela

  • Trader discount

Good morning, I need a new small car and think about buying either a used one from a dealer or a new one. Now to my questions: It’s the case that you always get a discount from the dealer, right? So the written purchase price comes away, so to speak. What is the amount of the discount that you can get? So what is so common and according to what criteria could I get more discount? Are these discounts based on both a uf a new car as well as a used vehicle? And: How much discount could I get for a demonstration car that is half a year old? Thanks already. I just want to make sure that I don’t pay too much for a car and my good faith is looked through and exploited. Sarah

  • Car for commuting 70,000km a year

Hello Motor Talk Community, after my studies I got an attractive job offer, which is 135km away (Hin and back 270km). Since you have settled in in the new place in the years of your studies, I would like to avoid a move or a weekly apartment. Therefore I am looking for a car with which I can drive about 3-4 years. At 4 years would be 280.000km. I have already searched in the forum, unfortunately I found no questions about commuting with these distances Here are a few infos: Route (1 way): 127Km highway to a large extent without speed limit (approx. 80%), the remaining 8Km are approx. 1Km city and 7Km country road. Since the route is not very busy, I am looking for a car where I can drive with the average speed of 130Kmh. Thus the driving time is only 2 hours a day and is ok for commuting. Motor: Due to the distance I want to buy a solid diesel. Since I have no idea how the PS strength depends on the consumption I don’t need a horsepower car. I thought about 90-120hp?!?? Car: Appearance, equipment etc. I don’t care, I want a reliable car with which I can ride the route comfortably with the 130Kmh. My budget is about 17,000€-21.000€. Think about a used car up to 30,000km or a new car. If you have a proposal that is less than 17,000€ I don’t mind. For a new car, I would be happy about tips. I have come across the Hyundai CI30 or CI40 during my first search for information. Low consumption and also as a new car (14,000€) or very young used car in my price range. Could anyone give me concrete experience here? Also the 5 year guarantee without mileage limit would be interesting because of the distance. I would also like to hear about other suggestions or ideas. Thank you very much and a nice Sunday greeting Marv

  • Car from 250 hp and 800km range searched for up to 40,000 € used

Hello guys, I’m looking for a car from 250 hp with a good range. Seat Leon Cupra and C43 AMG are nice and good, but if you gas on the motorway, the speed advantage is quickly gone, because I am constantly standing by the tank. Besides, it gets quite expensive. So is wanted a car suitable for the road with which I can drive 200+ km/h without the tank is empty after 400 km. I love with a 4 Grand Coupé, 313 hp. 60l tank. At approx. 8l consumption it corresponds to approximately my requirements, whereby the range could be even better. Does anyone know good alternatives? Brand doesn’t matter for now. Thanks

  • Car search [Single, 8000km/year, approx. 1500€]

Hello together, because of a professional change I moved from a big city to the vicinity of Lörrach, which is why I want to buy a car now. So far I only drove to a Ford Fiesta, which is now supposed to hold for my requirements as a comparison object. I can travel my daily work journey by public transport, so that I would only need the vehicle 1-2 times a week for short distance (purchase,… ~20km). In comparison to the Fiesta with 70hp, I would therefore like to have a little more performance. Overall, I estimate the distance to 7000km a year. Therefore, I would consider a low-maintenance and fuel-saving petroler. For me, either a young used (<200km) or a new car is possible. My budget is about 1500€, pain limit would be 2000€. The desired equipment should be Kli I would also love to connect the smartphone via Android car for navigation. Can you give me recommendations for vehicles that meet these requirements? Best regards Thomas
