  • reliable diesel minivans for work journeys

Hello community, I’m addressing you with the above concerns. I’m looking for a small car with a diesel engine for a total daily distance of approx. 60 km. Since I live in the city, the car may not be too big for parking. At the moment I drive an old Lancia Y Bj. 98 which will not be able to make this route in the long term. My priorities are as follows: 1. Reliability, low workshop stays and maintenance costs 2. Low consumption h 3. The already mentioned size of the vehicle, it should move in the order of magnitude like my current Lancia or a VW Polo or similar. 4. Should not cost more than 900€ 5. The best not have more than 70tkm brand and appearance are not so important to me. I have of course already looked around and a Polo so from approx. year 2010 looks really good. I also heard that the Ford Fiesta models around 2006 should be quite reliable, which also my top priority. Above mentioned budget I could possibly also exceed because I have also looked at the new Hyundai I30 models which are however still too expensive for me because then I would have to finance for it. What are the most reliable diesel small cars you know so well? I am open to all recommendations.

  • sporty small car up to 750€

Hi together, as the thread title says, I’m looking for a reliable small / compact car. The price should be between 5000 and 750€ and not exceed it. With sporty I mean that the car should be fun to drive. I’m not looking for a sports car now. It’s important that the car is suitable for everyday use. As a stop I specify a couple of criteria. – >100hp – not older than 2006 – not more than 100,000km The Mazda MX5 and a Mini Coope r I already exclude, because I don’t like them so much optically. I had a Bmw E46 already in the eye, but the motors of the Compact models (316 / 318) are supposed to be very vulnerable. I prefer something in the direction, Colt, Swift or Clio. Is there something suitable and are these recommended? Greetings LoXor

  • Mispurchasing… funded Golf 6

Hello, due to a job change my parents lack the tractor for their caravan. 1.5 years ago they financed a Golf 6 team (1.4 TSI 122PS) for 18500 euros with a loan from the Volkswagen bank (payment 8900 euros). Because of this additional towing load is not enough, now a new car has to come! The golf was then a new car, so the sale is estimated to be a huge loss business. In addition, just the Golf 7 comes out, which is certainly What would you do? 1) Pay the golf for approx. 12000-13000 Euro from the dealer and buy or finance a suitable car there. or 2) trigger the golf and sell it from private. However, this carries a certain risk, since it is not foreseeable when the car will find a buyer. I guess you would have to put an additional 500 Euro into a paint doctor (Mother & Sisters have immortalized themselves with 2-3 scratches, you know this^^).

  • A4 (210.000km) with ATM (45,000km)

Hello, I hope to find answers here, as the people in the A4 Forum only discuss about possible engine combinations instead of helping. I have an Audi A4 Combi (Bhj 10.2006) in mind. It is super equipped, new 8 compartment (19″Alu with summer tires and 17″ Alsu with winter tires), large Naviradio, leather equipment, multifunctional steering wheel, Xenon, LES backlights, S-LINE equipment and painting etc… The body is partially galvanized (not galvanized is bonnet and tail flap) and has n However, due to a recall action by Audi, completely engine, transmission and axle was replaced. What was installed before was k.A (does not want to discuss again for this reason). Anyway, now a 2.0l TDI with a 7-speed automatic transmission is installed. Because before that another engine was dirn, the axle was replaced. i.e. for me eigtl: – crossbar NEW – motor NEW – clutch and transmission NEW Would you buy such a car, or are these for the body deutl What do I have to pay attention to?

  • Which car from 90s for 8,000km trip around the Baltic Sea??

Hello, I will return in summer 2013 with a friend from Hamburg via Denmark, Sweden and Norway to the North Cape and via Finland, Russia and the Baltic States. Almost 8,000 km only on highways in 2 weeks and for this tour we will drive a car at least 20 years old = BJ VON 1994. An SUV would be cool, but swallows a lot of fuel and the car should be halfway comfortable. The budget says around 2,000Euro and we sell the car afterwards again. What s ind your recommendations, which cars will hold the KM and would also be repaired by Finnish/Russian workshops? Would you like to make useful suggestions 🙂 Gruss Bjoern

  • Old and cared for or young and…

Hello, I just don’t know how to decide: So my car is 13 years old, has almost 190000 km on it. Now it’s not worth investing any more. So another car. There’s an offer: Peugeot 309 over 15 years old. Very well maintained (“Opa” has made continuous inspection etc.), 70000 km. Timing belts and ignition would be due. And all for a small money. Interior, engine room everything like “keeps”. even the car workshop is enthusiastic. Or a car that costs 4000 Euro about 300 km a month. Of course such an old Peugeot, but very well maintained. Or a newer car. With the Peugeot, I would drive for a while now, by the way, save on a new car in about 3 years. Then I can afford something “good” for about 10,000 euros. Bzw. a down payment and then continue to finance in installments. What would you do? Nice greetings Heike

  • Directional decision – which car would be useful in the range ~500€ ?

Good evening all together, it’s time to start looking in February-March. I’m looking for a new car for ~500€. I’m currently in an apprenticeship, from October I’m most likely going to study full-time. Thanks to Bafög + side job, I won’t have less money available. I’ll be able to finance or entertain all the cars I’ll list below. One or the other car will make sure that I keep less money. My favourites: BMW E46 325/330Ci around year 2001 Seat Leon 1M 1.8t Audi A3 8L 1.8tMy driving profile: At the university it is 25km, makes 50km per day (but will not have to drive to the university every day). In addition, there are other private rides. So there will be a bit of something coming together. Of the 25km I will drive more than half over AB.My alternative: maybe a small car to have more money for other things in the bag. I have good quality possibilities? I would like to refrain from Opel if possible, even manufacturers like Hyundai, Suzuki and Fiat do not necessarily have to be. PS-wise it should already be around 100 hp, rather more. My heart tells me E46 330Ci, my mind Seat Leon 1M (at the moment), because with 180 hp properly motorized, fuel consumption in the frame and thanks to the 6th gear on the highway at fuel saving anyway in advantage again. A good, powerful small car would however be Which one should I really look at? Thank you

  • Short distance car up to 1500 € searched

Hello people! On the way forward, I have unfortunately no plan concerning cars Since I am by nature lazy and before a good year I got the Opel Astra built 1996 from a mate for slump 200 € and now the TÜV runs off I would like to get a new car. I got used to short distances, 10 min to work e.g. to drive with it and do not want to change to bus again. Since at the Astra the exhaust is broken and a friend has found another one or other which the I don’t want to put any more money into it. Have looked at various car platforms on the net but in the price range up to 1500 € there is a quite large selection. But is there one or other model that you can “suggest”? Since I can’t screw it myself I need a reliable car which gets two years TÜV and can then also be removed if necessary. Thank you for your help!

  • Car purchase

Hello together, first praise to the really good community here. Now to my concern. I start an education in August after Abi and look for a new car. Budget approx. <900€. So I prefer to stay under 9000. I want either a nice limousine or a fast sports coupe/cabrio. I then have to drive about 50km. daily. The majority of the route is federal road, on which also often LkW's and tractors are on the road. Therefore the car should have some power so that a züzü For me, the acceleration is more important than a high maximum speed. For the equipment: leather seats, bright, and an integrated navigator, looks simply noble, cruise control, etc., but can do without things. The limousine should have automatic. I like Audi A4/A6 from 2005, where not only the rings silver are bordered on the front. And the A4 convertible is also very chic, but should probably swallow quite a lot?? If you need even more information says Eid Oh and I would also like to have one or more reasons why this car. Mfg

  • How’s the law doing?

Good day, the following problem arose with us: last year (10/12) we bought a Vw Touran 2.0TDI Built 2004. At a Ford dealer near us with a1 warranty. The first case we had now had to pay about 400€ because the alternator flew apart. 60% of the material costs we had to pay and the work and other 40% were taken over by the guarantee. Now the ESP lights up, the passenger seat beeps “please fasten” though there nothing and no one is on it and he has a huge loss of cooling water. Had I already read through and it should probably lie on the cylinder head… All this is now a bit too much of the good and therefore I ask: do I have a chance to admit the car back? or to get around the cost? I thank you for reading and answering. Best regards
