  • Economical, powerful, long-lasting car

Hello, I’ve already read a piece of it, but I don’t know how to make a decision. That’s why I wanted to ask you for forum help. I’m currently driving a Skoda Octavia 1,8Tsi. This one is great from the driving characteristics. The 160Ps are good enough to move forward quickly. The size is great, only the consumption and the fuel costs are too high. That’s why I had it converted to gas some time ago. After which I had some problems selling I am currently driving about 30000 – 35000 km a year and am now looking for something with similar performance. I already had a passat, Audi A4, and others with the 170hp diesel VW engines. However, I have read that the many problems have with cracked in the engine and other products…. So it went on to BMW E90. There are 163ps engine dolle Turbo problems and the 177hp engine, which has promised me the most so far, has problem with a grinding steering chain. Everything expensive and long when something happens. So what kind of car can I get without hesitation? Price should not cost more than 1200€. I thank you for your help and suggestions. Mfg

  • 50,000 km a year – Dacia?

Hello! Those who know my threads know that my Opel Meriva 1.7 diesel is more in the workshop than I drive with it. I bought it a year ago with 139,000 kilometers, now I am at 193,000. Just now I got a workshop bill over 400 euros again, and I think that I should get rid of the box slowly! My consideration is what comes next. Either buy a cheap used one again, and accept this again constantly. The new Logan MCVhttp://www.dacia.de/dacia-modelpalette/the-new-logan-mcv/ was very pleased with the optics and the consumption. The new price for the maximum equipment (diesel, Navi, Alu, parking pie, electric windows, on-board computer, so everything that Dacia offers) is about 16,000 euros. You can finance over 5 years, after the 5 years he then has 250,000 kilometers, which a Renault diesel would actually have to endure. I would be interested in whether someone has experience with Dacia and can say something about durability. And if I am generally correct with my theory. I find that as a second car you really don’t need a new car, but with the mileage in the year you can usually drive used only 1 to 2 years… Please for your opinions!

  • looking high car for my father

Hello, I’m looking for a car for my 71-year-old father. His requirements are: 1. high and good seating position 2. good overview 3.strong motor(he used to be a test editor at a car magazine) Driving he will be so in about 5,000-7,000km a year so the consumption does not play such a big role. Mainly solid and not so incredibly expensive in the maintenance. Also the vehicle should be reliable. His budget is about 8,000 euros Here are a few ads I have selected: 1. Re nault Scenic 2006 2.0 16V Exception( 163 PS), 56,000km, 6,950 Euro 2. VW Touran 2.0 FSI Goal, year 2006( 150 PS), 120.000km, 7,500 Euro VB 3. Opel Meriva OPC( 179 PS), year 2006, 99,000km, 7,990 Euro Are there any other alternatives or are these engines in order (my father likes rubber on the highway) and what about the durability of these vehicles or the engines? Thanks in advance luckyphil

  • Reliable car up to approx. 8000, which also has a bit of fun

Hello, to be honest, I am a real car layman and I am just about to buy a car again for the first time in a long time and the more I inform myself here and on the net, the more insecure I become. I would be very happy about suggestions and ideas. I am looking for a car with which I will drive about 8000 to 10000 km a year in the city or sometimes shorter highway routes (less than 50 km per route). As a budget I had thought about 8000 (a bit of room for manoeuvre is there). On the one hand, it’s important to me that the car is reliable (clearly there will be repairs from time to time, but I don’t want to worry about staying with every ride). At first, I thought that a trip (Aygo, C1, 107) is the right one, because I could get it more or less new. However, I’ve been driving mostly 1 BMW or Mini (BMW carsahring) lately and after some test drives with the triplets I have to tell me that the difference in driving comf I know that I don’t get a useful 1 or MINI for 8000, but it would have to be possible to find something that offers at least a bit more driving pleasure and comfort. So it would be great if you could give me suggestions that you would look at my profile. Thank you in advance, Frank.

  • TÜV new at your own request, then accept any amount of repair costs?

Hello If I allow a dealer or seller to make a new TÜV request (because only 2 months are valid for example) and he says the vehicle can become more expensive in case of repairs that the TÜV then demands (which would not be unusual), then I am obliged to buy the vehicle at a far higher price if the repairs require it? The TÜV fee itself “up top is clear. But must I go into something legally binding before this TÜV (and possibly repairs) n (e.g. maybe kind of “pre-contract”)? If you think bad, then the seller could “repair” after that and then “break up”. VG Sorry, if wrong section here, found nothing more appropriate.

  • First car up to 1500€

Hello together, until the beginning of next year I want to buy a car. I don’t really have any special requirements. It should only stay with me for a long time. – Compact car or small car (usually one person with possibly bicycle) – 200km highway + 30km country road/city per week (max 150 km/h) – technically would be a parking aid and (distance?) cruise nice my ideas are so far: – Opel astra k (comfortable seats, cheap?) – Mazda 2/3 (good long-term quality) – Ford Fiesta /Focus (quality) – Sea t ibiza /leon (has my family, drives well) – Toyota Yaris/auris (quality) I’m open to everything, thank you for your help

  • Selling used cars properly?

Good morning, I sold my car via autoscout24. The buyer wants me to bring the vehicle through the TÜV (it’s actually only 10 months away) but I can understand it anyway. Now we have stayed in such a way that we meet with him at the registration point and make the transfer. He wants to make a test drive and then pay cash. Since I have to drive with two cars about 100km to the registration point, the question arises with me, how can I make a pre-contract a How do I secure the test drive? What must be considered…?

  • A5 2.0 TDI or A6 2.0 TDI ?

Hello guys, I wanted to ask you what would be the smarter alternative from your point of view, namely the A5 Sportback or the A6 as a limo? Should not be much different in maintenance. In terms of equipment I insist on Xenon,Leather,MMI+ and manual transmissions. My driving profile consists of 2200km drive to work (50%Overland/50% highway) and about 1300KM private rides (50%City / 50%Overland) all month of course. So we come to about 3500KM a month, these I currently spin in a small n Seat Ibiza down and get tired of it, especially since it is a gasoline engine and swallows far too much for a 1.4, about 7.5 liters the little one needs. I decided for a 2.0 TDI engine because I want to keep the maintenance costs as low as possible. My budget is about 20,000€ ! I thank you in advance for your answers! Lg Thomas

  • Diesel company cars up to 45k (incl. equipment)

Hello together, for months I’ve been rubbing my head, I just can’t find the right vehicle. I have to choose a new company car, so far I had a Seat Leon ST FR. The following conditions: What I actually need: Thanks to the heater, BMW seems to fall completely out (don’t find any in the configurator) The VW Touran has no four wheel. Actually I don’t want to have an SUV, because I really don’t need one, but I always go to the Skoda Kodiaq. Seat Leon X-P erience or Golf Alltrack are nice, but since my wife really wants to sit higher, they probably don’t really come into question. Does someone from the head how much cm are higher than a standard golf ? I am grateful about ideas or suggestions!

  • Car up to 3000€

Hello dear community, due to an education it is forced to time for the first own car. As a budget are about 3000€ available for purchase (the less the better of course) and a little reserve for any repairs (etc.). The insurance would run on my father. Public transport was of course also considered, but then I would need for the short distance almost two hours per drive, since the connection is not exactly outstanding The car will be weekly 5x 50km In addition, in the leisure time on weekends, maybe 30-40 kilometers. Long journeys are definitely not planned. Due to the not all too long distance and the higher follow-up costs, I thought of a petroler rather than diesel. Otherwise, I have no all too high demands. Power from 100 hp would be nice and a station wagon should definitely not be. Much more can not be demanded in the price range, right? Now the usual candidates are so far Op el Astra G and H, Peugeot 206/207, Ford Focus and once in a while a Mazda 3. Do you fall in again? Are there reasons why I should definitely paint one of these cars?
