  • New purchase advice with significantly higher budget

Since my wife and I have come to the conclusion that there will be only two old cucumbers again with 900€, we decided, since there is currently no interest, parts of the saved in new car to invest! *Freue* woman is already supplied with a van, for children, shopping, shopping tours etc… Now I’m at it…. Live in Austria -> therefore change marks up to 3 vehicles. Must only pay for the strongest insurance the other two are free. What should it ever be? 1. I still need a work car with AHK for green cutting, transporting building materials etc. 2. I need an everyday car to get from A to B, but it has to fit in a stroller and suitcase. Optional: I get something fast, but on the other hand this is stupid again at max. 130kmh and only for speeding up money out…. My ideas: work car: Suzuki Jimny, Ford Fusion, other on this scale everydayaut o: Skoda Octavia RS Kombi?? Budget 50,000€ Divided into 10,000€ for work car and 40,000€ for everyday use. I don’t care about SUV or Kombi for the first time. Profile: Work car: 5,000km per year / 99% City of Allrag: 25,000km per year / 40% City 30% Country 30%Autobahn

  • Family Van Mercedes or VW

Hello, looking for a VAN with at least 6 seats I am now facing the decision between: Mercedes Viano 3.0 from BJ 2012 224 hp Mercedes Viano 2.2 from BJ 2012 163 hp Mercedes V 220 from BJ 2014 163 hp Mercedes V 250 from BJ 2014 190 hp VW T5 Multivan from BJ 2012 140 hp All vehicles run with automatic and under 125,000 km. What experiences do you have with the vehicles? Does a vehicle have particularly many difficulties (motor, rust etc.)

  • Safety in case of accident middle class vs. upper class and SUVs

Hello together, would like to address a topic that has occupied me for a long time. Since I travel several hundred KM in the car on highways and federal roads a week, safety has become very important to me. Furthermore, I plan to buy a new, used car. I have often wondered if a 5 Series/A6 or 7 Series and A8 with the same crash behavior is really as safe as an equally equipped A4, 3 Series or C-Class. n it would be interesting, if a station wagon is safer for the driver in a rear impact than a limousine. In principle, I don’t care whether I’m on the road in a 7 or a 3, but the car should be sure. The question is now whether the umpteen thousand euros for the next higher class really worth safety-wise. The length difference between a 3 station wagon and a normal 7 station wagon is not very big. Or rather switch to SUV? But even here, d he question, whether an X3 instead of an X5 does not provide safety-related or possibly even the same protection behavior? What would you say about this topic? Only related to the car, without security systems. I may be a little exaggerating about safety, but was already involved in accidents in the past and therefore became more sensitive. Thank you for your answers!

  • Test drive comparison Kia Optima SW plug in, Outlander PHEV, Passat Variant GTE

Hello together Looking for a plug in hybrids, I tested all three models and want to summarize my (subjective!) experiences here in a thread and stimulate discussion, also like to include experiences from owners. Maybe there is one or the other one who has these three models also on his list?! To the model selection: Prerequisite is the possibility of an AHK, as generous a boot as possible, nominally min. 50 Km EV Range as well as LP (with optional equipment) between 49 and 57 thousand euros (therefore neither BMW 225 xe, Volvo XC 60 Twin Engine nor MB C350e driven)Kia Optima SW plug in hybrid hazards in full equipment Beautiful car with almost wasteful space conditions. Headroom through glass roof felt somewhat restricted for me (183cm height) Interior with valuable workmanship, logical operation Beautiful trunk, also sufficiently large (no double floor due to battery) rear bench 40/20/40 foldable, with load capacity for SKI sound system H/K with proper sound, but nothing that lets me make air jumps Navi reacts flott, gives little suspension. Car starts in EV mode…(it’s because the heating is turned on, see below) driving performance is sufficient overall, although not intoxicating. Especially in hybrid mode on the highway up quite tough. Steering could be more direct for my feeling, but certainly a little getting used to it (come from the F55 Cooper S, that likes I was only able to test the ACC for a short time, it worked well, lane change assistant passive BUT: Even with a full battery it is not possible to drive the car in the REINEN electric mode, if either a) the heater is running (you can switch the burner on and off with the heating controller, so to speak!) or b)you can also give a little bit too much gas, because then ALWAYS the burner switches on and off. Conclusion: VIEL car for money…unfortunately no particle filter almost does what it should… BET ON REIN ELECTRICally drive when you heat. So for me not the right Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, MJ 2017 Dangers in TOP-Satung/Fahrassistenzpaket Typical SUV… you love it or you hate it! I do NOT need space at the rear much more narrow than in the KIA headroom itself with glass roof very good, high seating position, good overview to all sides, even to the rear interior: One word : DEUTSCHEND Although leather stool, but for my opinion little seating comfort (side support, thigh support) Many black clear painted plastic surfaces… Unlit switches for the window lifters… Luggage compartment: for the vehicle class mE to no, luggage compartment lining with scratch-sensitive hard plastic on the sides and an almost windy floor cover rear bench only 60/40, JEDOK: you have to fold the seat surfaces of the rear seats forward to get a flat loading surface n (I had a Fiat Panda 30 years ago, it was the same way!), no loading possibility for e.g.Ski Soundsystem Fosgate: With FM Radio disappointing, with DAB+ but decent sound…for that in the suitcase a side compartment for the subwoofer is lost Navi (MMCS): cumbersome, little intuitive operation, no pinch to zoom, sluggish response to inputs, strange female voice car always starts in EV Mode driving performance: you notice the FZG weight (>1.9t), overall it would have been more likely At 170 km/h there is a regulation, but who really needs more with a (partial) electric SUV? Steering is quite unfeeling, synthetic, I didn’t like suspension comfort is ok; noise insulation is fine…even if the combustion engine already performs its work clearly on the AB. Significant wave movements in (fletter) cornering The biggest plus is the implementation of the hybrid concept in the Outlander: up to just over 60 km/h purely electric, above that the combustion engine switches to and operates only the generator for electricity generation, to charge the batteries and just over 120km/h the burner is used to drive the front wheels. More precisely: https://www.motor-talk.de/…/PostJump.html?… Works without much excitement and without getting anything from it. By the 2nd electric motor on the rear axle: 4WD (like to be interesting for one or the other, I don’t need it) In addition to the type 1 charging connection still fast charge possible via Chademo, (what ic h didn’t try it, but I thought it would be very useful to test ACC only for a short time, was very “cautious”, mE braked too much and too early on the front man, but you can change it in the settings. Track change assistant passive, has basically only beeped and flashed in the cockpit, deactivable. Conclusion: Almost ingenious hybrid concept! Chademo fast charge possible! No particle filter! Advantage 4WD and SUV feeling for those who want/need that. In the areas of As This is because the test drive in the GTE due to winter road conditions and summer tyres is unfortunately due to the lack of detailed infatuation for a vehicle with LP > 50 thousand Euros disappointing. VW Passat Variant GTE To the Passat GTE there is already a lot to read at https://www.motor-talk.de/…/collectread-passat-b8-gte-t5328089.html and at https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/kronkrete-gte-fragen-t6253460.html… and much more than I could contribute to the topic here, since the test drive in the GTE due to winter road conditions and summer tyres unfortunately r danger in very extensive equipment including panoramic roof Very good space conditions, front and rear (there a little less than KIA). Headroom due to glass roof hardly restricted workmanship and material appearance in the interior elevated above all doubts, even better than KIA Beautiful trunk, the largest in the round rear bench 40/20/40 foldable, with load capacity for SKI standard sound system with quite remarkable sound image, know the Dynaudios but I can’t imagine that the salted surcharge would be worth the thing…and I have to say that I’m quite sensitive. Navi (Discover pro) reacts quickly, zoom with fingers etc…gives NOTHING to expose. AID found a force, the variety of possible ads is fantastic, although I haven’t tested all the functions. Car always starts in EV mode…(although not below -10°) Driving performance: Surprising…compared to the others already really one remarkable difference, even though I could not seriously “experienced it (summer wheels, snowfall) steering compared the best, nice direct suspension comfort rather tight compared, but not uncomfortable (no DCC), rolling behavior as well as noise insulation (no noise-absorbing disks!) very good, but not driven on AB, it may be different! ACC could not test, track change assistant only made itself noticeable once by “Rubbling” on the steering wheel Fazi t: ME the best package…but also no particle filter! Unfortunately too short test drive under adverse conditions. Longer test drive, best over the weekend, in any case useful (in my opinion generally before purchasing PHEV) All three charge single phase with max. 3.7kW, the outlander additional with Chademo connection (40/50? kW) On the topic of cost, power consumption, electric range and efficiency (keyword: LADEVERLUSTE) at the GTE there is at https://www.motor-talk.de/…/collect thread-passat-b8-gte-t5328089.html in the GTE collection thread rich information. I can only guess whether this applies to the two competitors. In this respect, I deliberately leave this in comparison. VG tomtom

  • Help with the purchase of used cars up to 1000€/ purchase decision

Hello together, I am looking for a good used one, but do not know me well, is important to me above all, automatic and „max. 9L inner place. My budget is at approx. 1000€. • Honda Coupe, as a cheap project?!

Hello Drive in everyday life a Golf 2, where I do everything myself, which is to be repaired. So I think that I get quite well with simple technology. I want to get as cheap as possible a coupe / sports car and make it gradually beautiful. Should be manageable, do not have to have a TÜV, also does not have to be “fit for driving”, but should already run and be relatively stainless. I have bitten through mobile, and find that the Honda Coupés are relatively beautiful, cheap and probably also a gu PS doesn’t have to have that much, right now 55ps.. so everything over 110 hp is probably felt like a bullet engine tuning I don’t really want, unless it’s really simple and doesn’t cost a lot (what read from crx head to other coupé?) Which of the coupés are recommended? Gives prelude civic etc… I don’t care about the year of construction, but should not have too much electronics yet, and still solid simple technology on what kind of equipment. you can screw. I’m curious about your answers Lg

  • Kaufberatung – SUV for frequent drivers / commuters

Hello dear Motor-Talk Forum, I am currently considering whether the new acquisition of an SUV (or an alternative) makes sense for me.First of all the hard facts: – Current vehicle: BMW 318d, Saloon, 2011, about 195,000 km, green badge, EURO 4 – Workpath: about 80 km easy. Annual running performance with private approx. 40-45,000 km – since young people are there, the 3 Series is too small. – Thought / desire car: SUV (Ford Edge, Landrover Evoque, Jeep Discovery, Seat Ateca) but open to alternatives sowo SUV therefore, because high entry is already very convenient – 75% highway (average speed approx. 130-150 kmh) – Budget: 25-30k (whereby also likes less or – if it makes sense – a little more) – makes little sense I think (but like to correct me) – Equipment: hands-free equipment is really mandatory, four wheel would be desirable. My questions: 1. makes it sense to change or is it better (economically) to ride the 3″ down A SUV is not an optimal commuter car, that’s clear to me. But there’s a lot of “If you like it, then you should like it too”. Which would you recommend to me (most of all)? 3. Would you still recommend diesel, or would you make LPG, hybrid (with diesel or petrol?) more sense 4. What alternatives would you see? I have seen this E 300BT for example Thanks in advance and many greetings cobra

  • Legal question Car purchase at Audi

Hey guys, I want to buy a car from Audi. During the inspection the dealer told me you probably took the head up display out of the description because it did not work and the repair before the purchase would be too expensive. I was assured that it will be fixed within the scope of the 1 year old Audi Plus warranty. In the installation of the purchase contract is an additional part: At the used car .. IDENT No. the following defects exist at the time: Head Up Display defective.. Signature Can be if I sign this, claim a guarantee, or sign with it only that I agree with it that it is broken and accept it like that ?? I thank you!

  • Diesel Combi up to 600€

Hello, I’m new here and would like to buy my first car. Drive approx. 15,000 km to work and still about 5,000 – 10,000 for holidays and weekends. Think there is a diesel useful or? Since I’m mainly on the highway I wanted a smaller Kombi A4, Golf or 3er Kombi, in which you can also take a lot with you and sleep in it in an emergency. And the car should allow reasonable cruising speeds 140 km/h at, so not undermotorized, must a Budget up to 600€ including winter and summer tires and tuv min 1.5 years. The car should last 1 – 2 years to drive the 25.000 km/year. Basically, I don’t care about the brand, just not the very big combos. I read that old 320d should be very reliable. Found an offer here near me. Or is it too old and has too many km?http://suche.mobile.de/…/details.html?… Then I have read that the Fiat Croma 2 is cheap and so I found an offer here, too. However, quite far away.https://home.mobile.de/HAAUTOhandel#des_222511349 Thank you very much for your help!!! Greeting Janis

  • City car searched- Ignorant asks for support

Good day together, my partner and I would like to buy a car. We live in a city close to the center with good connections to public transport. So I have delayed the car purchase until now. But now we believe that a car could support us in our everyday life with regard to shopping, driving to the sports centre, spontaneous activities and so on. Unfortunately I am totally ignorant about cars. I’m probably the classic buyer that you can easily overhear This is why I am looking for support or advice. What I am looking for / My idea: a kind of city car. Small and relatively little fuel consumption. Budget: I disagree here. If new cars could possibly be up to 15,000€. Used so between 5,000€ and 7,000€. I basically like the Mazda 3 skyactive, BMW 1er from style. But I’m not sure if a VW Polo 1.2 or suzuki swift would not be the better choice. What about this offer? n Polo recommend or should I possibly orient myself to the other ? Thanks
