Hello people, I’ve just been tormenting the search forever but found nothing really comparable. and I have been on the road today with my Audi 80 abk engine, all of a sudden there was a bang (sound like a misfire)…ok, I drove about 1 km further to the ampel, everything as usual. arrived at the ampel, clutch and the cart goes off…again let on, but without giving gas he immediately went out again…since then you couldn’t stand in the empty run or when switching the audio in the speed so down that it died. did any of you ever have this problem or can give me a good tip what it might be?? mfg marcel

empty run too high and car does not run out
Hello to everyone! I’m new here and have read about the problems my car has here yes really already a lot. so I describe my here despite everything again: so my audi 80, bj. 89, 90 ps runs in empty run (in stand, if I drove a lot of city) mostly between 2000 – 3000 turns, if I then still at the e.g. red ampel on the gas kicks he goes even higher and remains there also. as soon as I start driving the speed goes down again. at the next ampel the glei che again (it also happened before, that I could drive almost 5 km without giving gas) . I arrived at home and wants to turn my car off , remains the engine on , despite that I have already pulled the key … only after several keys again and motor off , my audio then finally goes out . Choking is not here the solution . so what can be the exact problem ? I’m really desperate !

Oil temperature / pressure encoder for additional instruments?
Hi. Can someone tell me about you where the 16V (MKB: 6A) encoder is for oil temperature and oil pressure for the additional instruments? I have such a guess: On the oil filter there is another thing on it, with 2 single pins, where you can put cable shoes on it. I did that too, and connected it. The oil pressure indicator seems to go (in normal driving mode approx. 5 bar, in the stand approx. 3-4 bar slightly fluctuating). Only the oil temperature indicator is not possible. r but quite important, because I don’t have a coolant temperature indicator (so, I already did, unfortunately does not work ) Maybe someone can tell me why my coolant temperature indicator is not working. Oh yes, something important would be to mention: I converted from the 1.6 with 69hp to 2.0 16V. The motor wire harness has been changed, the wire harness for inside not. Thanks already to you! MfG

Require brakes
Hi, have the problem that my brakes have been squeaking in the back for two weeks, but only with light to medium pressure on the brake pedal. If I brake strongly or completely close you can’t hear anything. Does anyone have any idea what it might be about? Suggestions for remedy? Brand of the discs and pads is ATE.

I don’t think that the rumor is true, but I’m still asking if there’s something about the rusting, that after 12-13 years all, restless, and without body remnants, will be eaten by the rust. From Germany to Spain…
Hi guys, would like to know your honest opinion. I’ll probably go down to Spain this summer… Reason: Holidays Where my girlfriend comes from or is born But that’s not the point now… Now stand ahead of the choice to go down there with either mine, or with my mother’s Polo 6NF (Bj. 01, 1.4L 60Ps) … For my mother’s Polo it says that he consumes less (6L to 100km) and has an air conditioning system. But mine is a lot more comfortable, v And compared to the polo, it has a huge trunk…But I don’t have any air conditioning In my opinion, the biggest drawback… Overall it will probably be 5000km back and forth, as I have planned to look at some things (especially in France) If you’re already there *g* Happy me over every post… Greeting John

Gentle driving
Well, I want to have my audio a while and at the moment I get used to driving around on a moto-friendly way. i.e. I start right after the start (no running warm), turn it as long as it has no 90°C not over 3000 rpm, switch to the next higher gear with 2000 turns. use syntetic oil. and don’t chase it over 4500 turns what would increase the life expectancy of the engine and the getiebe?
