In the evening, a long time ago the problem had been described that my intake air preheating is defective… At the ADA there is an air valve in the air filter box bottom, which is controlled by a small thermostat. This thermostat is defective with me…This component is not available individually, you have to order directly the whole air filter box bottom, and that for 160,- Euro. And without guarantee on function, because these not often ordered parts lie well known long Z So far I have been able to fix the air valve with a little tape on almost open or close depending on the season. Problem with this is that tomorrow after the cold start the car runs very rough, and I want to turn that off now. I know that the intake air preheating is controlled in the ABC vacuum, would be nice if someone could tell me more about it and help me (possibly with pics, how the flap is now controlled exactly where the vacuum is removed). After all, some ABK riders are present here… And in principle ADA and ABK only differ in a few small areas. Thank you very much

Paint the Audi 80 B4
Evening, I’m playing with the idea of painting my well-preserved audio 80 B4. Has any of you ever done this or can you guess what that could cost? Should everything be a color and from bonnet to stern two white stripes, quasi rally look π PS: I know, it’s not really worth it but I’m doing it for fun. π

I have no idea and would be in front of a advice or even an instruction thank you r. achja how difficult is it to retrofit a ignite plus yourself if you don’t really know what it is?

Buy or not???
the seller (trader) made a serious and honest impression, as well as his car house. the car itself has the following data: s2 ABY nappa leather beige and carbon inside black outside 5x original s2 rims 16 inches air conditioning automatic sliding roof with automatic selection EZ: 01/96 158.000 km 2. hand staple tooth strap at 121.000km new, clutch, brakes, cardan shaft also new and looks like it of course has small here scratchers, and also on the lights small stone blows (not leaking) now to the defects that leave me a little doubt: 1) on the front apron is between the headlights and the apron a large split picture 1 picture 2 2) the driver’s door hangs something (is that adjustable????) picture 1 picture 2 3) also on the rear apron is a parking damage picture 1 4) is the rust at the exhaust normal? picture 1 5) when I started the car for the first time, the fan immediately started, although the engine was cold. when he then made the climate out was also the fan out!! is that normal?? so, now please fire off and tell me either finger off, or grab!!

Conversion to 16V
Hello to all car narrators I got an Audi Coupe Type 89 about half a year ago (MBK: 3A) very good and still does, but I notice that the performance is a bit leaner and now I want to convert it to 16V. Since the engine of my knowledge is identical to the VW engines from Passat & CO., I imagined this: that I simply take off the cylinder head and install that of a 16V with KE-Jetronic (e.g. MBK: KR). -> Is this so feasible? Since the VW 16V Μer qu’er it’s built-in is that stupid with the position of the throttle flap at the suction bridge, which brings me straight to my next question: Does the Audi intake bridge of the 16V fit on the head? Personally, I appreciate that it fits, but I want to get the blessing of designated experts like you again And finally, I wanted to ask which throttle I need or if there is a difference between the one from VW and that from Audi. Hope for an early answer & thanks in advance

Audi 80 B4, speakers in the doors
Hello guys, I would like to put loudspeakers in the front doors. But I don’t like this whole GFK stuff! Is there something original or something that looks original? I’ve seen such essays once. Where are they? Thanks and greetings

DEKRA has registered Y-tires for me π
Just see in my papers that the DEKRA man, along with the chassis and the rims, also registered my tyre size a few weeks ago. 225/45 R17 91Y. On Wikipedia I find under “Speed Index” under Y a 300…. km/h. Isn’t that a little bit of safety reserve for a car with a registered 207 km/h tip? I don’t run now and buy me Veyron tires. Do I get what I’m missing or did the examiner slip? Is (15″ rich V-tires. Is the war against me?

Audi 80 – general questions
Hello community, I’ve been driving an Audi 80 B3 built in ’89 for almost two months now. More or less over time, there have been two, three more or less intelligent questions: 1. To the heating: This thing is super fast warm and does an impeccable service, however, I can not bring my right wheel (even under threat and use of light to medium-heavy force) into the twelve clock position. The strange symbol irritates me and I would like to know if 2. Again to the heating: Can you say in about how much fuel this consumes at full power per hour circa? Drive quite gladly and often on “attack”, especially in the morning on the way to the office. Is the fuel consumption a relevant size or to neglect here? 3. Sliding roof: A great part, only one question: On the small snap position, where the back goes so high, it can still stand at night, right? I think it is so not purer Is someone familiar with insurance law? 4. Tank needle: OK, the Audi already consumes a bit of fuel. However, what also “disturbs” is that the tank needle swings in a sharp curve from half full to almost into the reserve. Is this normal or a malfunction? I know, sometimes quite useless thoughts, but they occupy me π Of course also for every other tip around my A uto grateful. Have a nice evening, Jens

No more spark on the 3 cylinder
Moin, moin Have there a small problem My Audi 80 B4 2,0 ABK has no spark of ignition on the 3 cylinder. Compression I measured, on all cylinders 11 bar up to the 3 that has 10,5. It all started with it that it badly sprang and it heard that the ignition does not fit properly. So then I looked in here and checked the pure sequence of the ignition cables. here is that the 1 cylinder must be at the notch of the distributor and then the row follows after clockwise w with my audio it was but 1.3.2.4. then changed that and then he didn’t even jump on. I rebuilt everything again as it was before and now the 3 cylinder no longer runs with. As I tested the ….. engine turned on and then 1 cylinder pulled off then he went off. And that was done with all, he always went out except at the 3 then he stayed on and ran just as before. Need urgent help from you. MFG
