  • Beginner’s questions Audi 100 C4

Hello, I am a bloody beginner and have the following questions for beginners: 1. Aitbag steering wheel. does the car automatically have an airbag if it has this impact bag? Did the C4 without airbag and only this procontent have this steering wheel with the struts installed? 2. Winter tires: Need unedited winter tires. Thought I’d pick up some directly on rims; selection is huge. In appearance, however, only 15 duty wheels with 215 are registered with me. Wanted at least 16, rather 17 Zöll he. Question: many org. Audi rims are offered in the bay. Could you give me common rim sizes and tyre sizes, which I get registered for the C4 or there is an ABE? Unfortunately, the sellers usually don’t write anything about it. 3. Topic white indicators: can I buy these without hesitation from any seller or are there any differences? Is there an installation instruction? So, that’s it for the first time. Thank you for your help!

  • How exactly are Navi-Tempo measurements and how far does the speedometer deviate normally?

Hello, so that a speedometer always shows a little bit more how to actually drive I know, until now it has never been like max 3-5%. Last time I drove again on the highway, with new Navi in the mobile phone (iGO8), I drove 220-225 the Navi meant I drive just over 200. The Coupe should go 206 so that would be right in itself. However, 10% more on the speedometer seems to me a bit much, even if I have heard from my dear driving instructor at that time so far may go. That’s why how exactly the GPS is, e.g. in the city. 10km does not cost 10€ if you are even stopped, you could use the exact information (if they are exact) relatively well. Of course not always but if you are too late. So can you trust the GPS 100%?

  • It is worth buying from Audi 80 B4 2.0E Built 93-95

Good evening dear motor-talk community. I am looking for a cheap, well-preserved and durable limousine with medium-strength engine. I have in sight an Audi 80 B4 2.0E Built 93-95. My question to you now: Is such a purchase worth it? They are already between 1,500-350€ to have. My father always brings the argument that you only have to put money in there because always something is broken and they are already 15 years old. What do you say about it? What are so common What should I pay attention to when buying such a vehicle? So it would be important to me: El. window lifter, sliding roof, seat heating (mustn’t be but nice), good would also be one/two airbags, ZV, ABS, tachometer, manual gearbox, servo Is there a well-preserved Audi 80 that meet my criteria? I have already looked at mobile, there I found some only are quite far away from the place of residence to just drive there and look at them. ufleistung (km) would be suitable for a purchase? Should I only look for cars that are under 200,000km? I hope you can give me some tips and tell me if it is worth getting such a vehicle, it should serve me already a few years. Greetings Stef

  • Different crossbars

Hi guys, since the search unfortunately did not show anything suitable I have to open a new thread now. My problem is often garkeins but I am so unsure that I prefer to demand: I ordered two new crossbars at Ebay which were explicitly designated for my Audi. Now I started to take apart the front axle today and have determined that the installed crossbars are others. When stopping the bearings are equally wide and the new crossbars were the parts changed by Audi at some point or do the spare parts just look different? Or did I get the wrong parts? Here are some photos of old and new:

  • Max. borehole 827 engines

Hi guys, I’m on top of what I’m doing with my engine instead (P.S. I know the V6 is easier, but I’m talking about the individual) I just wanted to know what the max. bore of the cylinder in the 827 engine block (ABT/AAAE/ABK) is. I know that the costs are not in proportion to the result, so I don’t want to comment about the new car etc… Also I want to say that I want to tackle all this as a long-term project, with a 2t engine. the target must not be 150hp now I’m only talking about more displacement, the power is still coming but for that I need the basis for the expansion of the displacement in order to be able to further palnen/want

  • Audi 80 ABT clackers (are NOT the hydros!!)

I bought an Audi 80 with ABT engine about 2 months ago. Various things about it were renewed (crossbar bushings and other Audi wear parts… you’ll already know what I mean 😉 ) A “problem” still has the box: the engine sounds like n diesel. At first it was particularly bad, since it clacked both in warm and cold conditions. I set the ignition angle a few days ago, now it pulls significantly better and the clacking is also away in the warm condition, but when it is cold in the morning, it still rattles like a sewing machine. I have to say that it only rattles when you give gas. As soon as I walk away from the gas, it is gone. Even in idle (unloaded) nothing to hear. Exchanged at the engine: – Lambdasonde (was already full in the ass… engine went out after about 2 minutes) – both cracks incl. seals – the entire cooling system (pumps, hoses etc…) – candles – petrol hoses in the engine room – carburetor flange – oil (now is t 15W40 inside) – throttle dampers – etc…div. gaskets and other “small parts” Oh yes: The car is BJ. 92, km-Stand: 182000, with drum brakes at the rear and the throttle dampers with 4 connections (if that tells someone something) The hydros definitely can not be, that sounds different (the clacks also for about 2 sec. after starting).

  • Audi 90 simply goes out or doesn’t start at all

Hello guys. I probably have a bigger problem. So first of all to the Audo: Audi 90, BJ 89, 2.3E MKB: NG Now to the mistake: It started, that the engine at a traffic light simply went off and did not start any more. Starter turned however. After about 3 minutes of trying, he suddenly jumped again and ran completely normal. 2 weeks later he jumped on and went out again after 3 seconds. After about 1 minute he jumped on and ran again normal. The fun went about a month like this. Now he does not jump at all. r on, or if it happens to start, it never runs longer than 5 seconds before it goes out again. What I’ve already done: Ignition lock electronics replaced. Ignition checked, spark on the candle is there. Engine control unit replaced (for the fully electronic ignition) fuel pump runs as well. Pressure memory OK. Then I turned off the line for cold start injection at the volume divider. Fuel is there. Then a line to the cylinders turned off and starter turned… there was no fuel ! So I just changed the pressure selector on the volume divider. Motor jumped on and ran for about 5 seconds. Then he went out again. Does anyone have any idea what that can be? I am grateful for every tip !!!

Hello guys, have a heating problem and don’t really find the right thing in the forum here, I’m too stupid for it…:-( engine temperature indicator goes to 90 degrees, the two water hoses that go into the interior room are also hot, just in comes cold air. Does one have a tip on what that is and what to do? Maybe a suggestion to troubleshoot? Thank you very much Greeting Lutz

  • Problems with starting Audi 80 B4

Hey, I’ve been having problems starting at my Audi 80 B4 Bj 92 115ps/85 kw for some time now. The car jumps especially when it’s cold and wet outside. I usually have to “org” it for 10-20 sec. When it starts it starts to run very restless at first and often the oil pressure lamp lights up a few seconds beyond the start. Once it didn’t really take gas on the first 100m (I could press the accelerator as I wanted it to and it has This was an individual case so far, but happened directly after a particularly “heavy” cold start. If he has run for a while then there are no problems anymore. Motor runs in my sense calmly and pulls as usual. A further start is then usually possible without any symptoms mentioned above. However, this week I have a bit of my sister this time. The speed sank into the cellar immediately after the start (it seemed like it wanted to go straight back down) and went up again, but after 2 – 3 seconds it ran completely normal again. This happened now also the first time. :/ When I was in the workshop the last time (it was not quite that bad and only slightly delayed start at the cold start) they changed the spark plugs, but the I apologize for the long text. I hope someone left all this and maybe has an idea what could be going on? Thank you very much in advance, cyr
