  • Installing new pistons

    Hi, as some of you have noticed, my ABT has been suffering from a piston tipper on cylinder for some time now 2. Since a motor repair is not worth it anymore with my car I wanted to ask if it is possible simply to replace the piston, i.e. oil tank down, conrod with piston down and install new pistons from below ^^ again. Ginge that? I know, this is not optimal it is about the costs that would keep themselves at such a limit. All other seals, bearings ect would remain still in order. Otherwise the damage to the cylinder wall will also be limited and if a piston does not get worse, right?

  • Upgrade board computers???

    Hi you, have an Audi 80 B4 2,8l Limo BJ 92 without a board computer. As I said without, and I would like to change this.   • Diagnosis: Piston tipper

    Today is really a bad day for me. I left my ABT at the workshop to get to the bottom of the rattle / rattle sounds. This morning I picked him up with the Job’s message piston tipper. Probably. In order to get closer to the bottom he had to take the engine apart, but I refused that. I am really desperate, have my ABT only 15 months and am also quite satisfied and would like to drive it for a long time and the master said that it is not so wild as it goes away when the car gets warm and I can drive with it for a long time, but should I rather park the car somewhere else and get a second opinion? Can that be just a hair crack in the cracker (When I asked the master yesterday he said it is unlikely). What do you think?

  • Tyre width

    Hello, and indeed I bought white rims, 17 inches and 8J wide, but just without tires. Would fit tires from 215 to 235. Since the coupe with front drive does not like wide tires at the front I thought of 215 front and 235 rear. Once appearance and once driving behavior.   • Luggage compartment lighting

    Hi, I have a problem with my trunk lighting, and the lamp does not light up when the stand light is switched on or I open the flap.     Hello, can someone help me ? I have already used the 2nd new radio (last Aldi ) and the reception is just bad. Roof antenna near tailgate ; there is no rust etc. Question: is it due to the inferior quality of the radios or can it be a techn. Problem with the antenna – and what could I do then ?   • Steering wheel ruched while braking

    Hello, have the following question: Had a small gift position earlier with an A3 I in my type 89 Coupe. At about 160 I went on the brake because of a lightning, and my steering wheel started to jerk. Always equally right/left the car moved but not to one side!! What could that be? Brake disc is not torn, pads are still good and discs have also come through tuev before 1000km. Hope someone has a tip, mfg I.k.d

  • Cylinder head seal change itself as a beginner?!
