  • Audi B4 Cracking when starting up and braking

    Well, I’ve already had a good time reading here and I’ve already solved the one or the other problem by reading it along with it. But I still have a problem with the two-wheel drive. I’m driving an Audi B4 Avant (ABT) 2.0 liters 90 hp I’ve had a crack on the front axle when braking and starting with a slight blow on the right front wheel. I’ve been replaced so far: – shock absorbers front and rear – dome bearings – coupling rods – track rod heads – support joints – cross steering track has been adjusted in the free workshop of my locking and even the installation has been checked once again. So far so good…. Then these cracks and the slight blow on the front axle occurred to me. Internet search through and the tips worked out. – both engine bearings – drive shaft joint to the right – brake saddle holder to the right (when I’ve still had to change the old side of the brake) after no improvement has occurred today … test ride … Knack to reproduce but unfortunately the heat didn’t give me a break at the camp.

    Hello, as a potential future Audi newcomer I would need some information. I want to get my first Audi in the coming weekend insofar as everything fits me. It should become an Audi 90 type 89 Quattro. Information about the vehicle: 2.3 5 cylinders accident-free Year of construction 1990 Euro2 manual gearbox No climate (was so wanted) trailer clutch Not check-book maintained at least not shown 162000km Running paint and interior equipment in top condition There are many parts in the last 2 years demonstrably renewed. The price is at 450€ So now to the actual question?! Is the price ok? What must be paid attention? I am grateful for any helpful answer!

  • heavy vibration on the steering wheel / axle and the whole car

    Hello, I bought an Audi A6/ Avant / C4 / 2,8l / Quattro 2 days ago. Runs up to 120 kmH like a Swiss clockwork. Then I wanted to know what 193 hp could do….. I accelerated up to the highway and at approx. 140 kmH hit-like vibration in the steering wheel, on the front axle and the whole body. I thought, I ride over cobblestones with 140 things and breaks apart the whole car. I almost got into my pants in front of a shock. I don’t know what the vibration caused. I am on the highway right on the brake and under 120 kmh the phenomenon was gone again. What could have caused it?

  • Rugging on the Audi 80 B4

    Hello, I have a question about an Audi 80 B4 Type 8C built in 1992 with 66kw/90PS: For some time the car has been jerking, but only while keeping a constant speed. When accelerating you don’t notice anything. Try so far: – Lamda probe plugged off to test if that makes the problem. – Distribution cap and cable changed. – Spark plugs renewed. – Carburettor flange (gummiflansch) changed. Unfortunately, still the problem with the jerking. Very bad to drive with the third 50km/h. It stutters right. Can someone tell me how to get the problem to the trick? Diagnosis device I have unfortunately none. in the ebay which do what? Thanks Klaus

  • Audi 80 2.8 V6 engine gets hot

    Hello people – the following symptom: engine goes after a long drive( already after 10 km) to over 90° (also during the ride) and at a short standstill immediately to 100°. If it is cold outside, it remains clean on its 90° . On this problem I changed the following in turn: 1. thermostat 2. new water cooler ………………………………….problem was still there 3. climate cooler well washed out from behind……problem was always there after 4. new water pump ………………..problem was still there 5. new thermostat ( – also a new can be defective)- cooling system cleaner driven through the system)…… 6. voltage constant in the tacho changed ( now at least the display is constant) Meanwhile I am with my Latin at the end – can someone help me further ? Is there besides the one venting screw on the way to the heating cooler still a second one I would have forgotten?

  • Oil in the cooling circuit Help !!!!

    Hello dear tolker, I drive an audi 80 convertible 2.3 liters NG automatic and have found the following problem, for about 4 days I noticed that I have oil in the balance tank (light brown) and we simply can not explain where it comes from. They were made about 1 year ago, New cooler/oil cooler, which is such a cooler for the engine as well as for the transmission, for that I paid 380Euro, what was still done, cylinder head seal as well as timing belt pump and so, and we have already driven over 30000Km without problems, no power loss or otherwise what. Engine oil is clean, no white slipper or the like, gear oil is also clean, no problems, only where does this oil come from and how can I see what it is for oil whether engine or transmission?? Please help me, I start my training on 18.08 and have to drive a couple of km. and I need my car quite penetrating 🙁 Ps. I have searched in the sufu, unfortunately no answers found

  • Audi 80 Cabrio Bj. 2000 Radio with USB

    Servus people ! 🙂 Have the original radio in my convertible and the Bose sound system. Does everything work but I want to install a radio with CD box and USB port. Before I buy twice, what do I have to bear in mind ? China trash does not come in to me, should already be a brand manufacturer. I have to pay attention to what because I have the Bosezeugs in it or ? Are there good adapters, the Radio 4 preamp outputs must have or what is to be considered ? Have no plan of radios. :-/ Thanks in advance 🙂

  • Audi 80 B3 speed varies far too high.

    Hello, I have a problem with my Audi 80 B3 since the very latest. Carburetor Pierburg 2EE The car drives very well up to the following problem, which is why I would be happy about help. The speed if I give no gas stops between 1500 and yesterday even times 3800 revolutions. Since I live in a busy city it is unfortunately no longer a real pleasure to drive because you are standing much and often at the traffic lights or have to drive in narrow gaps. You might imagine that you are already looking at it diagonally when the engine runs at the traffic light on almost 4000 revolutions. What I have done so far: I have checked all the underpressure hoses, I have checked the speed of the gas train and I can clearly exclude the flange on the carburetor because I changed it a few months ago. If you have any further ideas what it might be. I have already thought about the LL screw but then the speed would probably not be between 1500 and 3800. Which would probably be important, that the speed is increased but if you don’t have to drive on top of the car.

  • Automatic doesn’t drive backwards anymore

    Hello, someone can help us: we have an Audi 100 (C4) 2,8 E, MKB: AAH, automatic GKB: CDT which unfortunately no longer drives backwards. (Ltd. transmission workshop “mechanical error”. My question now is: what is the difference between the GKB? Could we replace a CDT with a CJE and what should be changed with it?

    Hello, I bought an Audi 100 C3 with the 75Ps engine. The car has 140,000 down and the timing belt came new 10,000 kilometers ago but stood 8 years ago now the question is the engine (DS) is a freewheeler or should I have the belt changed quickly? Lg Marc
