  • [ALL] Sealing of the discs/velvets

Hi guys, again a question, there’s something good about letting in the slices/mirrors, that really does something against these little scratches of stones etc… The same thing for rims, I need something I order once a year and what really keeps the dirt off, so I just want to splash over it more. I’m not lazy, clean my car every week, but the rim cleaning is just shit. mfg

  • Navigation MMI + MP3 + DRM

Hello and good day to the forum, I’m here for the first time today and need your help. I picked up my A3 Sportback 8P in Ingolstadt the day before yesterday and am very happy by the way. Since I didn’t want to take individual CDs with me I just plugged in my 512MB MMC card and played it before with numerous MP3 songs, mostly from my own breeding. I noticed that some songs, which I use the internet radio of the WinAmp player streamed (here: Psyradio & Philosomatika) but are not playable on the big display. I have put all the songs on the top level, should not be called in subfolders or even deeper. Here is my question: Is it only the possibility of restriction by DRM (digital rights management) or is it a problem of missing matching codec of the autoradio ???? The said songs will be on my 3 weeks old Maxfield MP3 player, which has a special Windows Media signature, played without further ado. I conclude that it can only be on the codec. For further suggestions or even solutions I would be very grateful….. -Guido-

  • Chassis: Drive Munich – Mannheim

On the last track mentioned above with my 3.2 A3 with S-Line suspension. This was my first longer ride over 150 km at a time. This constant extremely hard hopping was really annoying. At the corner around Karlsruhe up to the Hockenheimring it was particularly violent. I felt like at the waistband, when my comrade built out the shock absorbers in his yellow Ascona and you always hit the roof sky on bumpy roads. In short: It is on a long distance n too hard and an electronic regulation of the degree of hardness would be very useful from Audi. I would order this immediately with the new purchase. Just so much greeting from Munich

  • Experience Quattro on snow and ice

Hello! there are already some threads about meaning or usinn of the quattro drive in the a3 and this mostly with the question dsg or quattro. Sundays before two weeks I had to business from bern to frankfurt and afterwards to Cologne (fair visit – 440km) and what happened on the highways in case of strong snowfall and smoothness (taunus area) I have not yet seen in 20 years. countless accidents and staus without end. the traffic reports overturned and the space vehicles were in permanence tz even though the forced masses through the staus were not really useful. the autobahns in the Taunus area with the many-percent gradients and gradients partly correspond to rather fast pass roads rather than high-speed distances. especially here you could easily see the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of drives. apart from the fact that there are still seemingly astonishingly many idiots who had dispensed with winter tires especially the vehicles of bmw, mercedes and other h The many electronic helpers also did not bring any positive improvement in the attraction. like on a ski lift and with due distance, the rear vehicles waited until they could conquer the slope sloppy and thus large space requirements (two lanes). some only managed with several runs and others were standing on the emergency lane with overheated engines or probably k upplungsprobleme. for my a3 with quattro drive absolutely no problem. the quattro switches imperceptibly but very efficiently and without great coupling effort into the happening. conclusion: I have always been convinced of this concept and surely you meet such conditions quite rarely but it is a good feeling that I can drive my 34’000 euro investment always and everywhere and therefore I am glad that I decided for the quattro and not for the dsg have. it may be shot! greet souldriver

  • DSJ .. Yes or no?

Hello forum user. everywhere you hear and see from the DSG transmission… but now I would like to know from the shadow sides of this transmission.. so 1.) Problems? you read various times of software worries.. what are your experiences? 2.) Speed.. in which area the DIESEL (now no BENZINER!!!) spins like this? 3.) When I drive forward..stop .. fast in the reverse mode.. 1 m drive..and then again in the first.. (so quasi like the turning maneuver.. often before and back at the ra … how does the gearbox react like that? Commemorative seconds? 4.) Durability. has someone driven the gearbox for tens of thousands of km and if yes.. Problems? 5.) is there special maintenance regulations? 6.) Wear on the clutch similar to a switchcar.. or is there more wear to be expected? So .. that was my whole pack of 6… well .. I’m curious!

  • Material defects Belt height adjustment

Hello together! I tried to address this topic elsewhere, but the feedback was very low! I’ve had my new A3 since the end of 08/2003. After about 14 days I discovered an incision in the plastic at the front of the belt guide (height adjustment driver and passenger side). This is caused by the seat belts. I immediately reported this lack to my workshop, which in turn forwarded this to IN by means of the Audi channel. 1. Antwo rt: Error is not known. As a result, exactly 6 days ago both height adjustments and the driver belt were changed and the channel entry was closed at the request of IN. Today I informed my workshop that the problem is already up to date. I fear that this problem is not an isolated one, but should occur with quite many vehicles. Therefore I would like to ask at least all present to check the belt height adjustments. and if the problem is visible, to report it as well. According to my workshop it is absolutely necessary that the error is also registered in the Audi channel. I am happy to be available for the exchange of experience ( [email protected] ). If you are interested, I can also provide photos of the problem.

  • Diesel VS FSI

Hello Together I’m itchy that the feeling can fool you sooo: My brother bought a 1.9l TDI with 130hp (Bj 01). I’m still NEVER with such a strong diesel. Does the gas really push you into the seat. That’s really fascinating. He’s had it for 2 months, no idea if the series is or if the one has a chip!? The salesman said it was all original. But without ASR he still goes crazy when it’s raining in the second gear! No matter. is now in the garage and as replacement got a 2.0l FSI with 150hp. He complained, he does not move at all and his is 100% viiiel faster from 0-100. I drove with the, and really, compared to the TDI there is nothing… On the Internet, and see there: FSI: 9.1s from 0-100 TDI: 9.5s from 0-100 Why is this so? Sure, torque of the TDI is much bigger, also thanks to Turbo. But pure of “press into the seat” I would appreciate that the TDI is certainly 2 sec faster than s the FSI! Have you already made these experiences? Is that really so, or is my brother’s TDI possibly with a chip? Greetings from Switzerland

  • Self-rotating parking disc?

Hi All and thanks for the help, I bought a parking disc at Ebay last week, which rotates itself, with a small clockwork in the back. Now it is the case that I did not worry so much. I park every day for a few hours in a side street of my university itself is always a lot of space, but you can only park there for 3 hours. Normally it is no problem to go there during the break, to turn the parking disc further and Now I thought to myself, I save it and use this parking disc without putting it on a stop. I just looked in the net what could happen to me. I only read something of nevertheless a roll… but also a little gelsen von towt… What do you think of the things, is the risk too big? Are there jemadnen of you, who still uses such a part of the stuff…? Thanks again for the information and a nice Monday! Just discovered this:h ttp://www.motor-talk.de/t144766/s/thread.html nevertheless my question: Does any of you use the thing? Or rather leave your hands off

  • Range of 1.4 mm profile for summer soaps

Hey, friends of the four rings! Since it is now high time for the last of us to put on the summer tires, the question arises for me about the profile depth. I stored all four summer tires at the friendly and still 3 mm, 3 mm, 3 mm, 3.5 mm profile on it. Now to my question. I come with it still 6 – 7 months over the laps (running performance about 9000 km). My car has alla wheel drive, that would have to have a positive effect as well, right? Even if only slightly. When the tyres are placed in storage, you can see a note on which it is written that the profile depth of 3 mm (for summer tyres) and 4 mm (for winter tyres) does not fall below. If this is binding, can it happen that the dealer refuses to pull up these tyres again? Finally, 1.6 mm are required by law. What do you think, at what profile depth do you attach new flaps? And one more thing, you can flat-rate the distance within which one millim eter departs – with a humane, non-ripe driving style. (summer and winter tyres). Does the vehicle weight and the hardness of the tire also depend on sure. Drive a Pirelli P 6000. Can you help me? MfG Mimichel
