Changes to the A6 after the factory holidays?
Hello together, when are Audi factory holidays? Will there be changes to the A6 after the factory holidays? After the hesitant start of sales one or the other innovation or variant could be brought. Will one or the other change or correction be made in production? Can it be that the cars produced after the factory holidays are a little bit more mature than the ones currently delivered?

By the way, “What would you do now?”
Hey you members, a question, what would you do in the following case ? So you have been in possession of an Audi A6, type 4B, Quattro, 2.8 L, 193 PS, 6 Zyl. – 30 V, Bj. 2000 Now, as you know, an e.g. 60 000 KM inspection is not cheap, especially since the car has Longlife 2. Well, Longlife 2 – 0W30 oil, the litre can already cost over 20,- Euronen and since the car with oil filter already needs 6 liters, that would be 120,- Euronen (240,- Alte Deutschmark) only for ÖL. The cost of spark plugs, oil filters (longlife), air filters and even the working time. Well, you do your own inspection, assuming that you had a commercial car workshop in the past and that you still have one or the other tool. So now to the case (true event) yourself. So you start, stupid as you are, to pick up the horse from behind, in which you first carry out the oil and oil filter change. Now you courageously reach for the Zü ndkerzenschlüssel, cylinder 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. Spark plugs out ….ok. But with the 1st cylinder you can see now……, the candle does not move a millimeter. Man(s) is not born stupid: And the following is tried to take the cutting edge. a: Let the engine (right) cool off ….Try to turn off…and…nix. b: Warm up the engine and then cool down the spark plug with a little bit of nitrogen ….Try to turn off…and…also nix. c: Careful turning up and turning ….again nix. All The VAG partner, who had carried out the last inspection, must have shot the candles properly, or turned dirt in and then, another attempt with a little more force … and … PENG…..Won..smile……turned out and found out………….you had lost. The spark plug thread was torn off, so you can now turn out 50 % of the thread with the ceramic inside guide. Even a turn in again is possible, so that the car could easily risk But that’s not a condition, because a new candle must come in sooner or later. Well, 50 % of the spark plug thread is stuck absolutely firmly in the spark plug thread of the cylinder head and that is that half of the above thread is visible and usable. Now good advice is expensive. Lt. VAG has to lower the cylinder head…. Cost factor without small parts approx.1000,- Euro. Sch…e my (your) expensive oil change, ………was now everything for the cat? And according to various engine repairs etzungsfirmen, only head shakes and shoulder shrugs, no thanks, or if only with head disassembly. Do you have to straighten yourself somehow, possibly without the head having to down ? And that still without having an endoscope …because of the possible metal chips that could fall in….. Add to that, that this stupid thread sits about 25 cm sunk under the valve cover …. Watt make me nu, Watt do…sprache Zeus…???? ***Solution follows after various answers *** Gruss X_One ……. Participation………….. could happen to everyone.

Guarantee extension
Hello, with my Audi A6 the warranty expires. Is it worth the guarantee to lose? What does the fun cost?

Shell V-Power Diesel
Hello everybody, wanted to hear what you think of Shell’s new V-Power diesel fuel. Does it cost about 6 cents more? Does anyone have any experience? Do you feel a little skeptical about this? VW recommends yes, but that doesn’t say anything. If ADAC or AvD would recommend it, it would be different… So, what do you think? Do you already have results from independent tests? Phil

Xenon, Xenon Plus
This is the main light. Experience values on your part, do you need this or rather not? is it vulnerable and then probably expensive.?!

Durability and robustness of the TDI motors
Hello together, now it’s finally time for me, I’m about to treat myself to my first Audi 😉 Because of my family with 2 children and always luggage it’s supposed to be an A6 Avant. Since we drive quite a lot (about 25,000 km a year) I will definitely use a TDI. Also a switchcar should be, because my wife and also myself is just switching when driving a car a lot fun. Unfortunately I can between the two TDI engines with 1.9l with 96 kW pump We drive around 60% motorway, about 30% city traffic and the rest we spend on the country road. We want to move quickly in the city as well as on the country road and the highway, consume as little diesel as possible and very important, have a motor that is very stable, robust and very reliable. Also an acceleration of say times speed 160 km/h to speed 190 km/h should not exactly at the snail speed If the 1.9l PD engine is more susceptible than the 2.5l TDI or better, the 2.5l TDI is more robust, durable and less vulnerable than the 1.9l PD. What about the driving performance? Both are nominally equally strong with 310 NM. Why does the 2.5l TDI not convert its more KW into NM? Where are the more KW? The PD engine reaches its maximum torque at 1900 At around the 2.5 TDI, its 310 NM reaches 1400 – 3600. How does the difference in practice make itself felt? When and where does the 2.5l TDi have its advantages over the 1.9l PD? Where are the strengths and weaknesses of the individual machines????? What about fuel consumption? Can one assume in practice that the 2.5l TDI consumes about 1.5 liters more than the 1.9l PD?? How big is the difference between the two engines in the quiet running and noise development in the vehicle? Do you notice a difference? How do the maintenance costs of the two vehicles differ. the 2.5l TDI also expensive for regular maintenance than the 1.9l PD? These are many questions at once, but I am grateful for every tip and every hint. Since it will be my first diesel I am still very inexperienced and unreliable in this respect. I don’t want to regret my purchase. Since the search function has been deactivated here, I can’t really look for my answers. Many thanks already to you all!! As said, I am for every tip p, every experience report and every opinion grateful. Unfortunately I have here only the possibility to drive the 2.5l machine with the Multitronic. Therefore I lack any comparison possibility. Greeting Wuppi

2.5 V6 really that bad?
Hello guys, after I separated from my 1.9 he A6 in March and bought me a 2.5 V6 Quattro 180 HP with Tiptronic (Bj. 11/01, 47000km), I read here more and more the horror stories about this engine. There is talk of intruded camshafts, constantly dying LMM, yes even hospital engine damage seems to be almost the order of the day here in the forum. Now, of course, on the one hand, I am very proud of my new acquisition, which to this day has no problems for me. On the other hand, the neck hairs stand on my feet when I read what the 2.5 V6 can become for a cost grave. Well, my question to the professionals here: What’s the point, on the mashie little food really such a worry child (if so which ones are particularly affected) or is there also often exaggerated and broken up?? I would be very grateful for useful hints!!!
