Hello everyone, I have a little bigger problem, can you help me? I drove to my workshop 14 days ago because my Audi spewed white smoke from the exhaust. The workshop said, white smoke = burnt water. So the test was started. It was assumed that the cylinder head seal was over, so repair. When the cylinder heads were down, it was found that several tilting levers were broken at the intake valves. According to the workshop an engine damage. But I had driven easily 20,000 km with the broken tipping levers and with a little luck I could drive another 20,000 km with the engine. (Can that be? I didn’t have to notice anything? Unround turning of the engine etc….?) The workshop recommended to install new cylinder heads, I agreed. Now the vehicle is repaired, has 2 brand new cylinder heads and I have a bill in the amount of 5,000 euros, which I (yet) did not pay. DEN: The vehicle squalts So I went to another workshop, which immediately realized that the smoke is burned oil. Now it is assumed that the turbocharger is defective. Sh… I already turned on the lawyer, do not see to pay 5,000 euros due to a misdiagnosis, especially since according to the workshop a renewal of the cylinder heads would not have been necessary. What do I do now? Do you have experience? Can you tell me something about the broken tipping levers? How likely is it that the turbocharger is really defective? Because performance has the car without end. Would I be very happy about assistance, sorry for the novel. stupid question 1.8T speed limits
Ok Ok don’t laugh, but where are the speed limits for the 140kW 1.8T. Where should the limiter be used and what is the maximum recommended speed if you want to get the optimal (fastest) acceleration.

Analysis: Deficiencies 2.5 TDI V6
Hello, many times new threads are started and simple questions are asked about the defects of certain engine types. In order to simplify this thing, I ask everyone who has driven or still drives an A4/A6/A8 2.5 V6 TDI, for a short time and in touch his data (KM/Bj) and the defects on the engine or the attachment parts to tell. The point is that not always with various defects like inrun camshafts and timing belt cracks a new topic is started immediately and according to the frequency orak ******** IMPORTANT******** It’s not about opinions and “…I’m going to give the Bose system a chip tuning.” But if you’ve chipped your engine, you should definitely write it about it (since when). I hope for a lot of participation, because that’s the only way we get more objective results. MfG Beeralpina

Details of the 2,7 T
Hello! Here in the forum I found only surprisingly little to the Audi (A6) 2.7 T engine (which is also because a search term must be at least 4 characters long). Now I have a few unclear details that are important to me if I want to buy such a car with this engine. Is this a V6 or a VR6? Is it from VW/Audi or purchased? In which models besides A6 and Allroad is it still offered? How many valves does it have? Does this engine have a control chain and keeps the chain What does it promise? (as a VR6 driver, I know it’s not always like that) Besides, I sometimes read “Bi-Turbo”. Are it really 2? Are there 2 equally large turbos or one smaller and one large? What about the possible repair costs, does it have typical weaknesses? How much km does the turbo last? And of course the fuel consumption … I read numbers from 11 to 13 liters/100 km on average. Is this OK for 250 hp or is it realistic? What can you do with a moderate ride? CU Armin

Petrol pressure 1.8T 180PS
Hello Weis someone how much pressure the fuel pump should have with the 1.8T engine with 180 hp MKB: AJQ. I have already had the well-known engine damage after 4000KM and there I want to know the exact pressure, because the workshop said the two middle cylinders did not get enough gasoline, because the pressure was allegedly too little and so I wanted to talk out. They said my pump was defective and then a cylinder went dry because But I don’t think that’s possible, because the intake valves are sitting on the one and the same bar, or as you can see. Stefan

Like a 1.8T tune ??
Hello, I want to do a 1.8T motor, what can you do, and how far is the motor pulled from it in sympathy? Can you, for example, install another turbo or other camshafts? How much can you get out of a 1.8T maximum? Does the 1.8T have a differential lock?

When finally a new five-cylinder series
With melancholy I think back to the probably most ingenious Audi engine ever, the 2.3-litre five-cylinder, and wonder when we will finally be given a 5-ender again. I am thinking of a change of the Gallardo-V10, as shown by VW in the V10 or R5-TDI, so then 2.5L displacement and so around 200hp. Who knows if what is planned in the direction?
